The morning of my nineteenth birthday didn’t start with flowers or music. It started with mud, dirty smelling, sticky mud ewwwwwww. I groaned as I dragged another bucket of water from the well behind the training grounds. My arms ached from the weight of the bucket. My shoulders were screaming in protest, but I gritted my teeth and kept going. When I finally dumped it into the wooden trough, icy water splashed up, soaking my boots. "fuckkkk!!" I half yelled I hate my life It wasn’t glamorous work, but someone had to do it. And more often than not, that someone was me. I was meant to be training by now, but here I was caked in mud, on my birthday. Around me, the pack’s warriors trained hard, their grunts and laughter filling the air. Wooden swords clashed against each other, and the training ground smelled like sweat. A few of the warriors glanced in my direction, smirks curling on their lips. “Beta’s daughter, huh?” one of them whispered, loud enough for me to hear. “More like the pack maid.” The others chuckled, laughing loudly like huge assholes that they are. Heat pricked my cheeks, but I didn’t look up. I’d heard it all before. Yes, I was Jonathan Blackwood’s daughter, the Beta of the Stormfang Pack. But that didn’t mean I was treated like royalty. If anything, it seemed to mean I was expected to work twice as hard and prove myself just to earn a scrap of respect. I wasn’t the strongest wolf. I wasn’t the prettiest. I wasn’t the kind of girl who turned heads. I was just… Aria. my wolf was very small and white, small meant weak, white meant weak, I had to work hard to prove myself everytime in the pack even if my dad was pretty important. Selene, my wolf, stirred inside me, her voice firm. “Ignore them. They only mock what they cannot control or understand." A small smile tugged at my lips. Selene always believed in me, even when no one else did, even when i didn't believe in myself Still, the sting lingered. I carried the empty bucket back toward the well, trying to shake off their mocking stares. “Still fetching water, Aria?” I froze. That voice. When I turned, Serena Hale was standing a few feet away, her arms crossed, a smug smile playing on her perfect lips. Her blonde ponytail swished as she tilted her head to stare at me. Serena was tall, curvy, and confident — the kind of she-wolf who commanded attention the second she walked into a room, her wolf was big for a female and grey, signifying power. And she knew it. “Don’t you ever get tired of acting like the pack’s servant?” she asked sweetly, her tone dripping with mockery. I tightened my grip on the bucket. “Someone has to do it. Unless you’d rather train in your own stink.” Her smile faltered, her blue eyes narrowing. A couple of nearby warriors snickered at my comeback. Serena’s gaze hardened. She stepped closer, lowering her voice so only I could hear. “Careful, Beta’s girl. You may think being Jonathan’s daughter gives you a shield, but trust me — nobody will save you if you push too far.” Then, without warning, she kicked the bucket, sending water splashing on my skirt. Cold seeped into the fabric, clinging to my legs. Laughter rippled around us. Selene growled inside me. “Don’t take that.” My own anger boiled over. “At least I don’t need to throw myself at all the warriors just to get noticed,” I snapped. Gasps erupted. Serena’s eyes widened in fury. Before I could brace myself, she lunged, fingers digging into my arm. Pain flared in my poor arm, I cried out and stumbled and hit the ground hard. The training field went silent and then cackled with laughter, my cheeks were flaming red and Serena smirked at me “Alpha Damien won’t tolerate weakness. Just wait, Aria. You'll be leaving this pack very soon to join the rogues" she said Her words chilled me to the bone, but I refused to show fear. I turned away,my jaw clenched, and picked up the bucket again. My hands trembled slightly, though I prayed no one noticed. "Today is your nineteenth birthday maybe you'll find a mate who is as weak as you" she said I rolled my eyes, Serena was 20 without a mate yet she was here throwing shades at me I laughed a little inside.. She sneered at me and walked away By the time I trudged home, the sun was going down, and my clothes were sticking to my skin. Our pack’s territory stretched wide — endless forests, clear rivers, and the grand pack house that loomed tall in the center like a fortress. Our own home was smaller, tucked closer to the riverbank. Cozy, but humble for a Beta family. When I got inside, the scent of herbs and stew tickled my nostrils. My mother, Clara, moved gracefully around the kitchen, her auburn hair tied back, her green eyes soft when they landed on me. “You’re late,” she said, dishing the stew into bowls. “Training ran long?” I hesitated. “Something like that.” She looked at me with a knowing look, but she didn’t press. She never did. My mother always sensed when Serena had tried to bully me again. “Sit and Eat,” she said gently. I obeyed, even though I wasn't hungry. My mind had drifted to my birthday celebration tonight at the pack house. It was the night everything was supposed to change. The night I would feel the bond of my mate. Selene purred in my mind. “He’s out there. Waiting for us.” A nervous laugh bubbled in my throat. Who would it be? A warrior? Someone kind? Someone who would finally make me feel like I belonged? Or worse… someone who would look at me the way Serena did, with disdain and disgust. The thought sent a shiver through me. I shoved it away, putting a spoon of stew into my mouth, even though it tasted like ash. Later, when the dishes were done and the house quiet, I slipped away to the riverbank. The water glimmered under the fading light, fireflies dancing along the edges. This was my safe place. The only place where I could breathe without feeling the stares of my packmates regarding me with disdain because I was just an omega. I sat on the smooth rocks, letting the cool river wash over my toes. The moon was just beginning to rise, pale silver against the blue sky. I clasped my hands and whispered, “Please, Moon Goddess. Don’t let me be alone anymore. Please give me someone who will see me.” Selene’s voice was soft, certain. “You won’t be alone, Aria. Trust me. Our fate is waiting.” I hugged my knees to my chest, my heart full of hope and fear. I didn’t know then how cruel fate could be. I didn’t know that the mate I prayed for was already set in motion, waiting to tear my world apart before it even began. *******Aria's pov…Something was wrong.I could feel it in my bones.I stepped out of the house, my hand instinctively resting over my stomach. The courtyard was no longer calm.Warriors moved quickly, their voices low but tense, the aftermath of battle was still heavy in the air. The scent of blood lingered, sharp and metallic, mixing with the familiar smell of earth and pine. Why the sudden attack. Selene askedMy heart tightened, it had been so long since there was an attack like that.I saw Kaelen, he stood a few paces away, his posture rigid and his presence overwhelming he was standing In front of Elira and Nyra. The woman looked shaken, her hands trembling slightly while the girl was still calm looking silently. She gave me the creeps.Kaelen’s voice was low and controlled, but there was an edge beneath it. “You arrived yesterday and rogues attacked today. That is not coincidence.”Elira shook her head quickly. “We swear—we had nothing to do with it—”Nyra didn’t speak.Of course s
Caelum’s POV'sThe horn didn’t stop.It cut through the air again and again as a warning for everyone.People ran to the safe house and pups started crying.Rogue attack. My body moved before my mind caught up.The training ground erupted into motion—warriors grabbing their weapons, shifting mid-run, voices barking orders. Dust rose under pounding feet as the calm of the morning shattered into chaos.“East border!” someone shouted.“Multiple signatures!”I didn’t wait for more signals I ran.The world narrowed to one thing only,I had to check if Nyra was safe.My wolf surged beneath my skin, restless and eager for blood. The scent hit me halfway across the courtyard.Rotten smell of rogues and there were many.By the time I reached the outer clearing, the first wave had already breached the tree line. They came fast—snarling, wild-eyed, uncoordinated creatures but dangerous in numbers.I grabbed my sword but the first rogue lunged at me.I stepped in and my steel met his flesh. Caelum's pov…I was so glad mum allowed them to stay.I watched the girl, Nyra. She moved across the hall like she belonged here. She carried a cloth in one hand, wiping down the wooden panels with steady, practiced movements like she had some this many times before. I pushed away from the railing and walked toward her.She didn’t look up not even when my footsteps stopped a few feet away.“Did you sleep well?,” I asked her Nothing. She just kept cleaning. The cloth moved in slow, even strokes, she acted like I wasn’t there.I exhaled lightly.“Most people take a day to rest after nearly getting killed.”Still nothing not even a glance.I frowned slightly.“Nyra.”That got a reaction.Barely.Her hand paused for a second then she continued.“I just wanted to check if you’re alright,” I added.Silence.I crossed my arms.“You know, where I come from, people usually say thank you when someone saves their life.”That did it.She stopped and slowly turned to me.Her eyes met mine and sh
Aria's pov….I was so hungryThat was what kept me awake.I shifted slowly in bed, one hand instinctively resting over my stomach. The room was still dim, early morning light just beginning to seep through the curtains. Beside me, Kaelen was still sleeping, his breathing deep and even. For a moment, I simply watched him.He looked much happier and still young as ever.A faint kick pressed against my palm.I smiled.“Alright,” I whispered softly. “I hear you.”I kissed Kaelen's forehead and carefully slipped out of bed, making sure not to wake him. The floor was cool beneath my feet as I wrapped a light robe around myself and stepped out into the hallway. The house was quiet which was expected.I moved slowly down the stairs,The faint scent of food drifted upward, drawing me toward the kitchen.Good.Someone was cooking. At least I wasn’t imagining the hunger. But as I stepped into the doorway i froze. Two figures sat at the table eating. For a split second, my mind didn’t register wh
Damien’s POV….Rebuilding a pack was harder than destroying one.I learned that the hard way.The land stretched before me—charred earth slowly giving way to green shoots, the scars of fire and battle still visible if you knew where to look. This was what remained of my territory. Not the grand hal
Louis’s POV…..The pool was supposed to be empty. That was the entire point.I’d waited until the sun climbed high enough that most warriors would be on patrol or buried in reconstruction work. The camp had settled into a rhythm lately—hammering, hauling, arguing, healing. Noise everywhere. Movemen

Louis’s POV…… Morning came softly in my new territory. Not with alarms or shouted orders or the crack of weapons—but with birdsong and the distant murmur of wolves waking to another day that did not involve running for their lives. I lay still for a moment, staring up at the rough wooden beams
