Chapter 121

Ares' pov

I opened my eyes only to snap it shut a second later as the sun burned my vision.

I opened my eyes to a slit, trying to get used to the bright light before opening it fully.

The first thing I noticed was the sun directly above me, and I rolled to my side.

The next thing I heard was the sound of waves crashing before I felt the prickle of sand on my skin.

I was on a beach.

I sat up slowly, ignoring the pain in my head as I looked around. My vision was impaired with black dots coming from the assault of the sun till I could finally see clearly.

The sand was so white it felt like a dream. The ocean so clear and blue I could see the crystals that sat deep in it.

There was nobody or building in sight as far as my eyes could go, making me wonder how I got there. I tried to connect to my wolf, but it was futile and he was totally silent.

I sighed, but allowed the smell of salt and sea calm my nerves.
