Thank you for reading!
Aspen Asher and I quickly pull on our pants. Neither of us have a problem with nudity but it’s probably not a good idea to remind Elena’s dads of what we were getting up to with their daughter. Not that they are paying us any attention, too busy interrogating Elena about her shift. “Can we see her?” One of her dads, Ryan I think, asks her. “No wait! Your mom will kill us if we don’t wait for her!” The other one, Reegan, insists. “Dads, I know you’re happy for me and I promise you can meet her soon. But right now, I really need to talk to Asher and Aspen.” And now the full weight of their attention is bearing down on us. “Right, we almost forgot. Who are you again?” Reegan, the hot-headed one it seems, glowers at us. “I'm Aspen, sir.” I hold out my hand to shake his but he just stares back impassively. “Um, you met my twin, Asher, earlier. We’re here visiting our dad, Michael West.” “Oh right, Mike mentioned you’d be coming for an extended visit.” Ryan says as if he j
Elena My head was a fucking mess! The last twenty-four hours were crashing in on me like a tsunami and I was drowning. It was too much. One minute I’m flying high. I finally, finally got my wolf and she is perfect! She is everything! That alone is enough to make my heart soar. But that isn't all. I also have two incredibly sexy men claiming I belong to them. Both of them. And the sex is fucking phenomenal! If it makes me a slut that I already know how good it is then so be it. I don’t give two fucks! I feel like I can breathe with them, like maybe there’s a chance I’m not so broken after all. But then there’s him, Mason fucking Cross. What the fuck is he even doing here? After all these years, why did he have to come back just when I’m starting to feel like I might actually be able to move on? “Mate!” My wolf whimpers in my head once again, as she has since he walked into that field. “No! No, no, no, no, no!” I rebuke her. “I don’t know what kind of sick game the Goddess
Elena Peering over the sheer cliffside, I study the way the chalky whites, violets, and deeper purples of the mountain disappear into the inky black lake below. Moonlight dances on the mirror-like surface and my skin prickles with the anticipation of disappearing beneath it. I can already feel the breath being stolen from my lungs as I tumble over the edge, free-falling with nothing but moonbeams surrounding me. I feel the exhilaration building in my chest, just a glimmer but with a promise to be so much more. I’m about to give in to the urge to leap when someone calls out to me. “Hey, shortcake!” Aspen is heading my way, Asher half a step behind him. “Whatcha doin’ over here by yourself? Looks like the party is over there.” He points to where Jake and his bartender boyfriend are busy tapping kegs for the gathering crowd. Someone must have leaked our plans for the evening and now half the pack is here. “It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” I turn my gaze back to the lake below. “Go
Mason “Where would she go, Livvy?” I would never hurt my sister but she recoils from the dangerous vibes rolling off me as I demand she help me find my mate. “I’m not sure I should tell you,” She dodges. “She obviously didn’t want you to follow her or she would have told you herself. And she’s my best friend. You know, chicks before dicks and all that.” “Olivia!” I bark, letting her know my patience is wearing thin. My wolf is almost rabid with the need to pursue, to hunt, to chase what’s his. Having her so close, in our room, in our space, stirred all his possessive instincts. I barely contain the growl that rumbles in my chest, threatening to escape, and Olivia sees how close I am to losing control. “Ugh, fine!” She grunts at me. “She didn’t tell me where she was headed. But I may have heard something about a party at the cliffs and if I know Ellie, that’s where she’ll be. And I doubt she’s there for the booze.” “What do you mean?” I try and fail to keep the snarl from my vo

Asher I hold Ellie with her face pressed to my chest, shielding her from the gruesome scene in front of us. The forest is quiet, no lingering scents or presence of any kind that we could find. Still, all my senses are on high alert, ready to react at the slightest hint of danger. “Ellie? Little one?” Mason turns her in my arms, cupping her face in his hands and resting his forehead against hers. It’s a testament to how terrified she is that she lets him get close to her. “I know you're scared but you’re the only one with a pack link, I need you to contact your dads, get them to come here. Can you do that for me?” A hushed whimper bubbles out but she nods her affirmation. “That’s my brave girl.” He whispers, kissing her forehead before he steps back. I want to snarl, growl and spit at him for touching her but now isn’t the time. If it’s comforting for her, makes her feel safe, then I won’t deny her what she needs. Her eyes glaze over for a moment and I see a range of emotion
Elena Mom runs me a bath and helps me step in, my limbs still shaking from the images flooding my mind. She sits on the edge of the tub, stroking my hair and humming a soothing tune. I focus on the familiar melody and try not to think of the dead girl’s bloated, purple face or the horrified look in her eyes. “Did you know her, sweetheart?” Mom asks gently. “No,” I whisper, my throat swollen with emotion. “I didn’t recognize her and she didn’t smell like pack. But she was so young. She was around my age, mom. She must have been so terrified.” My whisper turns to racking sobs as my heart cracks, broken for a life with so much future left to discover just . . . gone. Questions without answers race through my head and it’s the unknown that scares me the most. I've always felt safe in Glass Lake. Now, I don’t feel safe anywhere. That’s not technically true. The minute Mason wrapped me in his arms the fear drained away. I felt protected, safe. Like nothing bad could ever happen t
Mason Starting the day with Ellie in my arms is a dream come true. My arm is draped over her waist and our legs are twined together. My face is buried in her silky hair where I’m drowning in her delicious scent and my morning wood is nestled perfectly against her round ass. Nothing has ever felt better. She’s so soft and pliant like this, so different from the hostile girl who hates my guts. I want it to last forever but I know it’s too much to ask. I already feel her stirring and I know my chance to hold her is coming to an end. But that’s okay, because she’s my responsibility now and I’m going to use every minute of our time together to make her fall in love with me and accept our bond. She just doesn’t know it yet. But she will. A few minutes later, she wiggles out of my arms and off the bed. I let her, pretending to sleep so she doesn’t try to talk to me. Knowing her, it would only turn into a shouting match. She creeps into her bathroom, tiptoeing across the room like she
