Azalea quickly front flipped right into the middle of her enemy’s army leaving Sybl to fight at the front. She did not know though that Sybl had disappeared to the back of her own army. A wolf came lunging towards Azalea. Azalea effortlessly walked by him, her blade slashing into his throat. She started hitting and attacking every wolf she saw left and right, all while still in her human form. The people around her marveled at her speed and precision. Then one warlock actually hit her with a spell in the stomach. It was not as strong a spell and that's why it was barely discerned by Azalea's magical radar. Azalea felt a pain in her abdomen but Azalea quickly snarled and jumped on the man, disarming him and knocking him unconscious. The dust rose around her but she still walked determinedly, going forward trying to knock out and disarm as many warriors as she could on the way. The thing she did not notice though was that a dark-brown haired, blue eyed youth was crouched behind a bush on the hill above watching the whole ordeal. Terrence was clad in a dark green cloak for camouflage purposes, his face obscured thanks to the hood over his head. Terrence caught his father’s eye from the hill and he pointed towards the girl that was bringing down seasoned warriors as if it was the easiest thing in the world. His father nodded to him and mind-linked him to confirm Terrence's suspicions. She was the one. The one that was supposed to be Sybl’s secret weapon.
Terrence mind-linked the group under his command and jumped down from the hill easily landing in front of his target."Sorry but I can't let you go any further," he grunted in a half-teasing voice and decided not to take his hood off. "Oh and who are you to try to stop me?" Azalea rasped out In an amusing voice, her breathing labored from all the fighting she'd done. Her eyes honed in on the brooch he wore pinned to his shoulder. This was the Alpha of Aberdeen’s son. He seemed so familiar, but his scent was not discernible to her. Probably some spell on him. "And who are you to think you can get past me?" Terrence replied with a hard edge to his voice. Azalea didn’t reply, instead charging at him with her blade in hand to slice into him but Terrence expertly dodged her. Then he shot out a punch her way which Azalea ducked and slid her leg over to Terrence’s feet making him fall. He quickly jumped back up."Hey you're pretty good…for a girl," Terrence said while dodging another slash of her deadly blade she aimed at him. "…and for a warrior."Terrence gave her a punch in the stomach which hit Azalea hard. Azalea hit another kick at him which nearly made him lose his balance."And you're pretty good for a self-centered stuck up alpha’s son," Azalea retorted breathlesly. She back-flipped to avoid a kick aimed for her. "But I tire of this. I could've wiped you out in two seconds if it wasn't for the fact that I wanted to check your pitiful skills first," Azalea hissed out lethally. "Save your pity for someone who needs it! Give me your best shot," he replied.Azalea started concentrating hard. A white light started vibrating around her. Then everyone around her was knocked off their feet. Even Terrence. Terrence stayed down, wheezing as the wind had been knocked out of him. Luckily, some of the witches his father had enlisted had put protective spells on him to save him from magical attacks. Still that had been pretty intense. He stayed down, waiting for Azalea to approach him. When she did, thinking he'd been knocked out, he quickly slid his legs and hit the back of her knees. Azalea fell back and Terrence did not hesitate to let out his claws and slash them across her torso. Azalea let out a gasp as pain ripped through her abdomen. “You were hit with a spell to slow you down earlier,” Terrence grunted out, getting up with great effort. “The pain in your stomach was just a distraction to make you think it wasn't a slow-moving spell.” Terrence moved forward and tried to lean over her but found himself flying backwards and landing hard on his back.Apparently the woman had had enough power left in her to use some of her magic. "You asked for it," he said gritting his teeth. He shifted into his wolf and bounded towards her with his teeth bared. She didn't know when to give up and would keep coming for him until she was thoroughly defeated. Azalea was in so much pain and knew she was losing a lot of blood. But she also sensed that her opponent had shifted and was about to come in for the kill. She had to get up. She opened her eyes and slowly started to lift her head, focusing on gathering enough magical energy for another attack. She gasped as her eyes landed on the wolf aiming for her jugular. "Terrence..." she whispered in shock, standing completely frozen from surprise. The dark brown wolf with a white streak running across it’s back in the shape of a lightning bolt was unmistakable. She’d seen him shift numerous times at the Academy. Terrence’s wolf reached her and took her down with all his might, both sliding across the dirt. Everyone heard a sickening crunch telling them that Azalea had probably broken her arm. Her hood fell off revealing her face as she was knocked unconscious from the pain and loss of blood. Terrence’s wolf, expecting some sort of resistance found itself rolling over and away from his opponent until he gained some traction and was able to stand upright again."Let’s see who this badass babe really is," he thought to himself, moving back to Azalea and shifting into his human form. He had almost reached the place where Azalea was laying when his heart nearly stuttered to a stop. He only needed to see the puddle of fiery red hair around Azaleas head to know who it was."Oh goddess no," he whispered shaking his head. "Please no," he beseeched the goddess above and quickened his pace. He hadn't even smelled her, though he knew her scent like the back of his hand. But it was probably because of a spell to mask her scent. He reached Azalea who was lying on the ground, her body bloody and battered. Her breath was shallow as if it was an effort to breath. Terrence was stunned. He sat down next to her and took her in his arms. The locket that he always wore hung down from his neck in full view. Azalea opened her eyes."Azalea!" he exclaimed as tears silently slipped down his cheeks. Azalea just looked at the locket he was wearing. She tried to say something but blood gurgled from her lips and she became unconscious."Attack!" Sybl yelled frantically from the back of her army. She'd been watching everything in her ball of fire. "They have killed our champion! Make them pay! Young Alpha, I'll deal with you!" Sybl exclaimed angrily. Terrence picked Azalea up in his arms bridal style and mind-linked his men. A witch scurried over and opened a portal for him into which he disappeared before Sybl could reach him.Terrence found himself in the hospital close to Alton Academy. It was the only place he could think of when asking his men to tell one of the witches to create a portal for him. He had no idea how his parents might have treated Azalea had he taken her to his own pack clinic. Carrying Azalea into the hospital he went to a nurse."Please ... it's an emergency! My friend and I were driving and we had an accident. It was a hit and run driver!" Terrence explained quickly, hoping the nurse did not ask too many questions. The nurse quickly had some paramedics take Azalea on a stretcher into a room."You have to fill this form out," said the nurse handing it to him. “We need to know what pack she belongs too as well.” After filling it out and writing all the information he knew about Azalea, Terrence went into the room where Azalea was being examined. He’d written that she was a member of his pack, and knew that since he was the future alpha of the pack, the hospital would not ask too man
Terrence's eyes glowed yellow and his face was one of pure shock. Azalea grimaced. She’d forgotten that if he kissed her, he’d be able to tell she was his mate. Well the cat was out of the bag now. Terrence was also surprised. Never in a million years had he expected something like this to happen. But in retrospect it made sense now. They'd always been best friends in school and that had quickly blossomed into love. A love that he hadn't been able to forget even a year later. Of course she was his mate. He wanted to kick himself for never realizing it sooner. Azalea looked warily at Terrence, wondering what he would do now. Was he going to reject her? But she was taken by surprise when his lips crashed into hers and his arms circled around her protectively. All her doubts seemed to disappear as she gave into the mate pull and melted against him, their lips moving against one another. Azalea opened her mouth and Terrence deepened their kiss, his tongue dancing with her. As the kiss
"Terrence you look like shit," said Silas as Terrence entered the flat from one of his long sad walks.Today was Valentines day. Terrence missed Azalea. "So would you if the person you loved most was out to kill you and take over your pack,” said Terrence."I know lets play a game. Wolf’s Challenge!" exclaimed Silas."I played that game the night I told Azalea-"Terrence was cut off by Remi."Don't be so...sulky. Terrence you need to have some fun. Maybe Wolf’s Challenge will cheer you up."Silas brought the game in. Wolf’s Challenge consisted of a board and a deck of cards. Each card had a challenge on it and points according to how hard each challenge was. However many points was on the card, you'd move your pawn, usually in the shape of an animal, the same number of spaces. The first person to reach the end of the board won. If you refused to do a challenge, you would have to move back two spaces. "Right I get to be the black wolf," said Silas, setting his pawn on the board. He pi
Azalea had water droplets in her hair and the moonlight shining on her seemed to give the illusion that she was shimmering. The merriment in her eyes shone through and made Terrence feel a tug to her he found downright terrifying. For a moment, Terrence was mesmerized and his gaze dropped to her lips so close to his. Azalea broke out into a smile and the moment between them was broken. "You scare to easily," said Azalea with a giggle. She did not notice the boys audible swallow or sharp intake of breath over her nearness to him. She put her arms down and looked up at him, her wet hair glistening in the moonlight. As Terrence stared at her, mesmerized by her beauty, she splashed him with water."Azalea that wasn't funny. Come on. Let’s go back inside," Terrence admonished, pulling his face away slightly from the water and her."Fine," grinned Azalea. She got out and put her night gown on."You need to dry off,” muttered Terrence, averting his gaze from where her hair soaked the fron
Azalea, wearing a plain black silk dress, walked down the street tiredly.Sybl had decided to send her on a mission with Devon. There was some nearby lone wolf who worked for the United Werewolf Kingdom that the Aberdeen pack belonged too. Sybl wanted this particular lone wolf of the way for some reason. He was rich, and Azalea suspected he'd been acting as a double spy and minting money. He was close to King Daemon and had previously been giving Sybl intel in exchange for protection once she took over all the packs. But now the man had ghosted Sybl after she'd retreated during the attack on the Aberdeen pack. Sybl didn’t take well to being ignored. She wanted to teach the wolf a lesson so that her other sources remained true to her. They stopped short at the man’s house that was being well guarded by some warriors from the Aberdeen pack. Odd how Aberdeen warriors were posted here. “These men have seen my face at the battle. If anyone sees me, they will alert Terrence,” Azalea whis
Terrence couldn't believe it. He had ,on pure instinct ,ended up here and there was Azalea. She'd ran directly into his arms and he could tell she'd been crying. They stared at each other for a good minute before Azalea firmly whispered, "Same time, same place," before pulling away from him and running down an alley. Terrence looked after her and then spotted Devon from the corner of his eye. Terrence quickly tried the door of the flower shop only to find it open and went inside of it. He watched from the shadows as Devon quickly disappeared into the alley that Azalea had gone into. He wanted nothing more than to rip Devon to peices and pull Azalea all the way back to his pack. But he knew he'd have to be patient. Tomorrow would come soon enough. ***"My Dark Mistress," murmured Azalea. "Mission complete.""Good," cackled Sybl. "I am glad you were finally able to complete a kill. I had sent Devon to make sure to complete the job incase you failed. But you have pleasantly surprised
Waking up the next morning, Azalea thought about what to do. She was loyal to Sybl and what would anyone loyal to Sybl do? Trap Terrence and turn Terrence in of course. Hand him over to Sybl to use as leverage but she couldn't. She just couldn't , so she decided to stay quiet.***"Idiot!" Sybl thundered."I'm sorry Mistress… I did not know she would appear," Devon murmured."Fix it!""How?""I don't care! Just fix it!""Mistress… it can't be f-""DO IT!” Sybl roared as green light pulsed around her angrily and hit Devon. Devon fell to the ground in agony."Mercy! Mercy!" Devon gasped from his position on the ground."I show no mercy," Sybl thundered.A crack of lightening came down and hit Devon, making him scream and writhe in pain. "Which is good," came Azaleas voice from the door way. She leaned against it, watching Devon suffer. But her heart wasn't in it. Not anymore. "Yes Azalea I found out about your little experience with Devon," purred Sybl. "Does he deserve mercy?"Aza
"You are our secret weapon," said the dark witch Sybl to a girl standing in the shadows. "When I give the signal you are to then and ONLY then come out of hiding. They cannot know about you... or my plan will be spoiled.""Yes my mistress," said a very attractive slim girl about the age of 18 with long red hair that was pulled into a bun. She had emerald eyes and crimson red lips. She was wearing black jeans, a tight black tank top and black boots."Good, good. You are to train one more time tonight and then you leave and rest. Be ready tomorrow," Sybl commanded, her own crimson lips compressing together into an evil smirk. It was eleven o clock at night and the young woman named Azalea was glad that she would be leaving. The dark witch had been training her personally for this battle. The battle where they would try and take over the nearby wolf pack. It was a test run. They would dominate them all, make the wolves submit. If successful, Sybl would begin taking over other packs all
