Terrence's eyes glowed yellow and his face was one of pure shock. Azalea grimaced. She’d forgotten that if he kissed her, he’d be able to tell she was his mate. Well the cat was out of the bag now.
Terrence was also surprised. Never in a million years had he expected something like this to happen. But in retrospect it made sense now. They'd always been best friends in school and that had quickly blossomed into love. A love that he hadn't been able to forget even a year later. Of course she was his mate. He wanted to kick himself for never realizing it sooner. Azalea looked warily at Terrence, wondering what he would do now. Was he going to reject her? But she was taken by surprise when his lips crashed into hers and his arms circled around her protectively. All her doubts seemed to disappear as she gave into the mate pull and melted against him, their lips moving against one another. Azalea opened her mouth and Terrence deepened their kiss, his tongue dancing with her. As the kiss grew more passionate, they heard a huge commotion outside of Azaleas room. Both ignored the noise as Terrence moved his hands up and down Azaleas back, wanting to touch as much of her as she could. Azalea's arm moved down to Terrence's back, hugging him as she felt his well-defined muscles that had definitely become more developed after leaving school. Terrence pulled Azalea closer, his hands now inching closer to slip under her hospital gown but the door to the hospital room was flung open violently, it's hinges breaking in the process.Azalea and Terrence pulled away from each other in surprise. Terrence immediately took up a protective stance in front of Azalea. There was a warlock from Sybl's dark coven standing there, his black cloak proclaiming his allegiance. "To get to Azalea you have to get through me first!" exclaimed Terrence. The dark warlock merely chuckled before shooting a spell the young alphas way. Terrence knew if he moved, the spell would hit Azalea, so he stood his ground, ready to take the hit. But he was surprised when the small streak of blue light bounced right off of him. "Leave him alone," Azalea commanded, stepping forward slowly. She was still weak from battle. "Come Azalea," said the dark warlock. "We have been sent to bring you back." "No!" Terrence exclaimed, looking at Azalea pleadingly. Azalea hesitated, caught between her coven and Terrence. Suddenly, 8 more members of the dark coven barged into the hospital room. They all surrounded Terrence. "We will take this young alpha as a prisoner. He'll be a good bargaining tool," said the warlock who had originally entered the hospital room. "They tried to capture our champion, we will capture their future alpha!""No!" Azalea exclaimed frantically. "I command you to not take him prisoner." Azalea said with a finality in her voice. Perplexed yet helpless under the orders of their leader, the witches and warlocks agreed. Terrence let out a snarl, his body trembling as he prepared to shift. He was not going to let Azalea go. Sensing that Terrence was about to put up a fight, Azalea quickly signalled the witch closest to Terrence who immediately shot a dart filled with sleeping potion straight at his neck. The dosage was enough to put out even the strongest of wolves within the blink of an eye. Terrence was down before he could even realize what was going on. Azalea schooled her features to show that she was not concerned for him and made to walk forward but immediately fell to the floor. One of the men came to her aid, picking her up bridal style gently. "Let's go home," Azalea rasped out and they complied, opening a portal to do just that. Just as Azalea was being taken into the portal, she looked back at Terrence with a sorrowful expression. She was his mate. And his enemy. They could never be. ***Terrence woke up after sometime and by then, his own men had arrived and taken him to the pack hospital. "Azalea!" Terrence said quickly getting up. He was on a stretcher with Silas, Remi ,and Sean gathered around him."Hold on Terrence," said Silas. "She was taken by her coven.""What?!We have got to get her back!" Terrence exclaimed."Terrence the witnesses said that they saw no resistance from Azalea when she was picked up. Just one order and that they shouldn't take you as a prisoner." Said Remi gently.Terrence ignored him. "We have to get her back!" he exclaimed."How?! " Silas asked with a hard edge to his voice. "She didn't even show any resistance what if she wants to stay there?!""She doesn't" Terrence exclaimed "I know her!""Terrence calm down!" said Remi. "We'll figure something out later on. For now just keep quiet."Terrence sadly laid back down. He had held Azalea in his arms. For a few moments he had held her in his arms.***Azalea was in a black dress with spaghetti straps and was tight from the top but not from the waist down. She was out on her balcony looking up at the moon. The wind was blowing and her hair flew in the direction of the behind her as did her dress. She had an almost sad face and looked forlornly up at the sky as the moon shone on her. Devon came up behind her."Azalea how long are you going to stay like this?" he asked.Azalea didn't answer."Azalea! Mistress is getting very upset. You haven't talked, trained or done anything at all since that battle 1 month ago!" he exclaimed. Azalea still didn't answer. She had been moved to Sybl's house so she could be kept under close supervision by the doctors as she had not spoken at all and frequently got sick. The doctors said it was because of depression and not eating properly. Azalea had gotten drastically thin in the span of one month's time. She missed Terrence like hell and knew she'd never see him again. Sybl tried to coach her into realizing that he was the enemy. But Sybl didn't know Terrence was her mate. How could she kill her mate? "Azalea!" Devon said in anger and punched the wall. Azalea on the other hand was not fazed and walked past him into her room. Devon angrily left. Just as he closed the door, Azalea burst into tears. She sobbed uncontrollably into her pillow until she fell asleep.****"I don't care somehow I want to see Azalea and talk to her!" said Terrence to his father. "Terrence calm down. Number one do you have any ideas how you can see her? Number two what if she lures you into a trap?" his father argued."I have to see her and talk to her!" Terrence exclaimed.Suddenly, King Daemon and his mate Klarissa were anounced and entered the room. "Where is she?" Klarissa demanded, her blonde hair bouncing around her as a testament to her anger. Her eyes went to Terrence. "You!" she spat angrily. "I trusted you with my best friend's heart and you broke it! Now look! She's being used and manipulated by a dark witch!" Terrence looked at Klarissa guiltily. "Azalea is an adult," King Daemon said gruffly. "Her decisions are hers and hers alone. She chose to become evil dearest. Now we must figure out how to rectify this." "No you don't know Azalea like I do!" Klarissa exclaimed, turning to King Daemon. "I left her alone...to come to you....I never should have...my best friend...." Klarissa began to sob and King Daemon took her in his arms to try and soothe her. King Daemon had discovered that Klarissa was his mate when he visited Alton Academy during their senior year. He was older than Klarissa and after a lot of hesitance on the younger girl's end, she'd finally agreed to go to the palace for Luna training and also to get to know the King. As Klarissa sobbed, her body became rigid and her eyes rolled into the back of her head."Your kind will be blessed," Klarissa said in an ertheral voice, her voice two octaves higher than usual. "Both powerful, both ready to sacrifice their lives for each other. But for not each other they will sacrifice but for another. A child dear to them both. Both combined and with the power of sacrifice can make sure the child of the moon will rise. The pure of heart must be saved. The key is in the child to save your future....to melt the hearts of the sun king. The child alone....." Klarissa began to convulse in King Daemon's arms. "I will bless your mate with the powers that would have manifested after your mating ceremony.... mark her, for her powers are needed to protect the child.... " with those final words, Klarissa fell unconscious, a dead weight in King Daemon's arms. "Klarissa!" King Daemon exclaimed holding her close. "Somebody get doctor in here!"
There was a scramble to get the pack's best doctor in for help. But Klarissa awoke in her mate's arms and looked around in confusion. "What...what just happened," Klarissa muttered, wiping a trail of drool from the side of her mouth. King Daemon hugged her to him, an attempt to protect her from something he didn't quite understood. "We must consult the monks in your temple..." Terrence's father said, looking at King Daemon. "This seemed like a message...a divine message," the Alpha of Aberdeen said gravely. Everyone was shook as they sat insilence, unable to comprehend exactly what had just happened.****
Terrence was walking around downtown, passing shops and places he'd always told himself he'd bring Azalea to one day. He looked at the big bouquet of azalea's and white lilies on display. A little girl of about four or five years was also looking at the bouquet as well. He sighed. Lillies and azalea's were her favorite flowers. "I miss you Azalea." He whispered. Then he went in and bought the bouqet."Hey mister!" said the little girl. She had blonde hair down to her shoulders and they were in braids. She was wearing a pink sundress and when she smiled, Terrence noticed she had one tooth missing. "Who are you buying that for? You have a girlfriend?" she asked interestedly."No," he smiled. "Well I do in a way but I'm just buying them for myself.""C-could I have one little flower out of it?" she asked a bit shyly. " You see I love lilies but I do not have enough money." She said sadly "My mom says that there is no point in buying flowers but I still like them and come here everyday and look at them."Terrence smiled. The little human girl was adorable. "What's your name?" he asked"Ashley," she replied with a toothy grin.Terrence took one flower out of the bouquet and gave the rest to Ashley."Thank you mister!" she replied and went off happily."My name is Terrence Evans," he said and smiled and left. Oddly enough he suddenly felt so much better. He was positive he'd find Azalea. And he'd never let her go again. Even if it killed him."Terrence you look like shit," said Silas as Terrence entered the flat from one of his long sad walks.Today was Valentines day. Terrence missed Azalea. "So would you if the person you loved most was out to kill you and take over your pack,” said Terrence."I know lets play a game. Wolf’s Challenge!" exclaimed Silas."I played that game the night I told Azalea-"Terrence was cut off by Remi."Don't be so...sulky. Terrence you need to have some fun. Maybe Wolf’s Challenge will cheer you up."Silas brought the game in. Wolf’s Challenge consisted of a board and a deck of cards. Each card had a challenge on it and points according to how hard each challenge was. However many points was on the card, you'd move your pawn, usually in the shape of an animal, the same number of spaces. The first person to reach the end of the board won. If you refused to do a challenge, you would have to move back two spaces. "Right I get to be the black wolf," said Silas, setting his pawn on the board. He pi
Azalea had water droplets in her hair and the moonlight shining on her seemed to give the illusion that she was shimmering. The merriment in her eyes shone through and made Terrence feel a tug to her he found downright terrifying. For a moment, Terrence was mesmerized and his gaze dropped to her lips so close to his. Azalea broke out into a smile and the moment between them was broken. "You scare to easily," said Azalea with a giggle. She did not notice the boys audible swallow or sharp intake of breath over her nearness to him. She put her arms down and looked up at him, her wet hair glistening in the moonlight. As Terrence stared at her, mesmerized by her beauty, she splashed him with water."Azalea that wasn't funny. Come on. Let’s go back inside," Terrence admonished, pulling his face away slightly from the water and her."Fine," grinned Azalea. She got out and put her night gown on."You need to dry off,” muttered Terrence, averting his gaze from where her hair soaked the fron
Azalea, wearing a plain black silk dress, walked down the street tiredly.Sybl had decided to send her on a mission with Devon. There was some nearby lone wolf who worked for the United Werewolf Kingdom that the Aberdeen pack belonged too. Sybl wanted this particular lone wolf of the way for some reason. He was rich, and Azalea suspected he'd been acting as a double spy and minting money. He was close to King Daemon and had previously been giving Sybl intel in exchange for protection once she took over all the packs. But now the man had ghosted Sybl after she'd retreated during the attack on the Aberdeen pack. Sybl didn’t take well to being ignored. She wanted to teach the wolf a lesson so that her other sources remained true to her. They stopped short at the man’s house that was being well guarded by some warriors from the Aberdeen pack. Odd how Aberdeen warriors were posted here. “These men have seen my face at the battle. If anyone sees me, they will alert Terrence,” Azalea whis
Terrence couldn't believe it. He had ,on pure instinct ,ended up here and there was Azalea. She'd ran directly into his arms and he could tell she'd been crying. They stared at each other for a good minute before Azalea firmly whispered, "Same time, same place," before pulling away from him and running down an alley. Terrence looked after her and then spotted Devon from the corner of his eye. Terrence quickly tried the door of the flower shop only to find it open and went inside of it. He watched from the shadows as Devon quickly disappeared into the alley that Azalea had gone into. He wanted nothing more than to rip Devon to peices and pull Azalea all the way back to his pack. But he knew he'd have to be patient. Tomorrow would come soon enough. ***"My Dark Mistress," murmured Azalea. "Mission complete.""Good," cackled Sybl. "I am glad you were finally able to complete a kill. I had sent Devon to make sure to complete the job incase you failed. But you have pleasantly surprised
Waking up the next morning, Azalea thought about what to do. She was loyal to Sybl and what would anyone loyal to Sybl do? Trap Terrence and turn Terrence in of course. Hand him over to Sybl to use as leverage but she couldn't. She just couldn't , so she decided to stay quiet.***"Idiot!" Sybl thundered."I'm sorry Mistress… I did not know she would appear," Devon murmured."Fix it!""How?""I don't care! Just fix it!""Mistress… it can't be f-""DO IT!” Sybl roared as green light pulsed around her angrily and hit Devon. Devon fell to the ground in agony."Mercy! Mercy!" Devon gasped from his position on the ground."I show no mercy," Sybl thundered.A crack of lightening came down and hit Devon, making him scream and writhe in pain. "Which is good," came Azaleas voice from the door way. She leaned against it, watching Devon suffer. But her heart wasn't in it. Not anymore. "Yes Azalea I found out about your little experience with Devon," purred Sybl. "Does he deserve mercy?"Aza
"You are our secret weapon," said the dark witch Sybl to a girl standing in the shadows. "When I give the signal you are to then and ONLY then come out of hiding. They cannot know about you... or my plan will be spoiled.""Yes my mistress," said a very attractive slim girl about the age of 18 with long red hair that was pulled into a bun. She had emerald eyes and crimson red lips. She was wearing black jeans, a tight black tank top and black boots."Good, good. You are to train one more time tonight and then you leave and rest. Be ready tomorrow," Sybl commanded, her own crimson lips compressing together into an evil smirk. It was eleven o clock at night and the young woman named Azalea was glad that she would be leaving. The dark witch had been training her personally for this battle. The battle where they would try and take over the nearby wolf pack. It was a test run. They would dominate them all, make the wolves submit. If successful, Sybl would begin taking over other packs all
Terrence was dodging every curse and obstacle thrown at him. Then suddenly his father stopped everyone. "You all are doing good!" the Alphas voice boomed. “We are lucky to have a few witches on our side to help us in this battle but now it is time for you to rest. Tomorrow, King Daemon has also promised to send us reinforcements to help in the fight against Sybl. We should be able to defeat her Dark Coven easily.” Terrence walked to the lockers near the training grounds to clean up. People around him were talking about the battle tomorrow but at the moment, he was thinking about something…. Or rather someone else.He remembered how he had broken up with Azalea to protect her. He was to go back home after graduation and his mother had advised him to break up with Azalea. He hadn’t wanted too. It had, in retrospect, been the biggest mistake of his entire life. "She is an aberration,” his mother had told him. “She is an omega wolf-witch hybrid with a human father! Nobody in the pack w
Azalea quickly front flipped right into the middle of her enemy’s army leaving Sybl to fight at the front. She did not know though that Sybl had disappeared to the back of her own army. A wolf came lunging towards Azalea. Azalea effortlessly walked by him, her blade slashing into his throat. She started hitting and attacking every wolf she saw left and right, all while still in her human form. The people around her marveled at her speed and precision. Then one warlock actually hit her with a spell in the stomach. It was not as strong a spell and that's why it was barely discerned by Azalea's magical radar. Azalea felt a pain in her abdomen but Azalea quickly snarled and jumped on the man, disarming him and knocking him unconscious. The dust rose around her but she still walked determinedly, going forward trying to knock out and disarm as many warriors as she could on the way. The thing she did not notice though was that a dark-brown haired, blue eyed youth was crouched behind a bush o
