Alaric's POV

I changed into a vintage shirt and a short that stopped above my knees, and rested on the bed. My hair flopped over my forehead while my spirit felt denounced.

Right after Alana left, something in me cracked. I had no idea why I was a dick to her or why I had to be repulsive when she hadn't done anything to deserve it. Perhaps I was trying to hide something sprouting deep in my blood, and in the process, I got rude. I began to hate every word I spilled as my mind replayed them for me.

In fact, now that I think of it, it was as though I was another being around her. I had felt vulnerable, and all I could resort to was being harsh.

Realizing that I couldn't concentrate on anything, I snapped my eyes shut, and that didn't help either. My body remained trapped in my train of thought.

The door was still open, so I went there and looked out, a part of me hoping that I'd see Alana there, but she wasn't.

After I slammed it close, I branched to the balcony and sat on the armless chair while staring at the evening scenery.

The beauty of the view reminded me of her mesmerizing beauty. I was losing my guard again, except this time, I didn't stop myself from thinking of her.

The way her hair sprawled down to her shoulders, slightly covering her face when she turned them away from me, and how she looked innocent when I was whispering those words to her.

I sniffed the air, recollecting her scent of lavender mixed with cinnamon.

"Damn." The words escaped my lips when her petite body flashed across my sight, and my heart escaped a beat.

I had only known her for a short time, and Ava, whom I've known since childhood, had not made me feel the way I felt earlier.

A realization dawned on me that she was the one who made me feel tensed, not the other way around.

Even when my wolf wouldn't agree to it, I knew being an asshole should lessen whatever I was feeling inside me, which couldn't be explored, and neither could I be aware of it, so it was better this way.

"Enough." I reprimanded my wolf for shifting our thoughts back to Alana.

"Babe, who are you talking to?" Ava said as she came to sit on my thighs. I was so lost in my mind that I didn't hear when she came in.

Heavens knew I wasn't in the mood for this, and from the way I squashed my face, she should have gotten down, but Ava, being who she is, could care less.

"No one." I wanted to be simple because I wasn't in the mood for a conversation. My mind was left on a battlefield with my feelings, and the fact that I didn't understand why shrouded me in more peril.

Ava grabbed my face and made me look into her eyes. For a second, I allowed myself to stare into her pupil, but something in there wasn't as exciting as it was with Alana.

"What are you doing?" I asked, and my forehead wrinkled.

"Baby, you don't look happy. What happened?" Her voice was small as she scanned my face, and I shifted away.

"It's nothing. I'm just thinking."

Her eyes glittered suddenly, and she smiled. "Oh, I get it. It's about being the next Alpha, right? Don't worry, I'm here for you."

"Yeah." I said, with a dry tone, and she frowned, claiming she didn't appreciate it.

"Babe, loosen up," she cooed and leaned forward to kiss me. "I have an idea. I'm going to do some shopping and want you to come along."

I stood up and leaned against the rails. "I'm busy. I have work to do."

"When I literally came in here, you weren't." She grabbed me by my arms, tugging like a child. "It won't take long. We'll be back by night."

"Dad wants me to fill out some paperwork, so I can't." I didn't plan on changing my mind, and she mumbled, throwing her hands in the air.

"I don't understand you anymore. What's changed, Alaric? You don't want to go out with me anymore, and you're here alone, deep in your thoughts. I mean, if you really see me as your future Luna, you have to start acting like it. Why do we even have separate rooms? Why can't I sleep in the same bed with you?" While she was bombarding me with these questions, I felt sorry for her that I put her in this situation.

Having made her think that we could form a bond, now I didn't want to have anything to do with her again, and I couldn't even find the courage to tell her.

There's no other choice for me.

"I'm just going to leave." She finished and was walking away when I neared her, clasped her by her back, and pinned her against the wall.

"I'm sorry."

I kissed her with hunger, trying to convince myself that there was fire between us, but an image kept seeping through.

Dark brown hair, gray eyes, petite body, and ravishing beauty.

This only deepened the kiss more, and aiming my hands under Ava's butt, she raised her legs enough for me to help her wrap them around me.

Then, without breaking the kiss, I sat us on the chair and rooted my hands into her hair. Every part of me was fighting her to feel the ultimate arousal, but it wouldn't come.

I stopped suddenly and faked a smile at her.

"You're a bad boy and would make a sexy Alpha, baby." Her hands cupped my face. "I would take this as an apology."

She stood up and adjusted her clothes, then her hair, which was now a mess. I watched as she walked out of my room, but when she left and I was alone again, I didn't feel my spirit depleted.

"I'm fucked." I groaned at myself as I grabbed my hair and fell into the bed, wishing a familiar presence was here with me.

  • The Alpha’s Auctioned Mate   Chapter 109- Epilogue

Alan’s POV Lisa was also an omega, but she had a better name than I did. She didn't get insulted as often as I did since she was still a member of the pack, while I was just a slave omega who was sold.I tried to ignore them, but their taunts grew louder. Tears welled up in my eyes, but I refused to let them fall. Instead, I held my head high and continued walking. lisa understood how I felt, and she touched me, giving me strength. I knew I had to be strong and not let them defeat me.Whenever lisa was with me, the chances of getting bullied were slimmer. We had been friends since the day I was sold into the pack. She was one of the few people who saw me for who I was and didn't judge me based on the circumstances of my life. Having her by my side gave me much-needed comfort. I often thought she would have been a great mate if she were a guy.We finished up and made our way back to the outskirts of the city. I couldn't help but think about the upcoming celebration that everyone was t

Alana’s POV "Slave Alanna, do you still have anything to say?" The Alpha's loud voice met my ears; he was talking to me. My head was bowed, and I was sure I looked guilty.Slowly, I raised it, tears clouding my eyes, never mind, I was just a weak human and couldn't stop myself from crying. "I didn't do anything to luna." The words choked out of me. I wanted him to believe me, but he didn't."Drop this act, you wretched witch. You did this to me!" The Alpha of the Jade pack, my mate's wife, yelled at me. "You did this," she said again.I shifted my gaze to her, forcing myself to speak. "You're all lying," I muttered in a whisper. "What would you gain?"I was being accused of slapping the Luna. What reason would I have for doing that? I was just an omega slave, and she was a werewolf Luna. How in God's name could I slap her? They weren't thinking."Alanna, did you slap the Luna?"Alaric, my mate, asked."I.. I.. I mean" I couldn't speak, and everyone began to murmur."See, Alpha, she's

AVA’S POVPacing around the room, I knew the importance of the coronation and I couldn't help but let my emotions becloud my sense of reason."Ava you need to calm down." Collete voice pulled me out of my deep thought. "You don't have to be bothered by Alana." I stopped on my track. Mere hearing that name pulled a certain anger within my vein."That bitch had succeeded in taking everything away from me. I used to think about my life with Alaric and right now,it is obvious my hopes are gone down the drain." I didn't know my voice were loud. I hated that someone like Alanna would take Alaric away from me and all I had in mind was nothing short of revenge."What are you going to do?" Collette questioned and indeed it was the same question that lingered through my heart. What exactly am i going to do about Alanna. It was about time I dealt with her appropriately. While my mind was in deep thought about my next line of action. I suddenly felt a wave of energy hovering around the place and

Alana’s POV Huh What was happening?"Baby, who is she?" She eyed me, or more so, the coat I was wearing. "Darling," he responded, my heart breaking into a million pieces at the name he just called her. "She's my mate and new slave. Do you like her?""You brought your mate here without consulting me? Alaric..." She dragged."I don't remember having to take orders from you." The alpha frowned."I'm sorry, baby, it's just..." Again, she looked at the coat. I'm sure she recognizes it as Alpha Alaric's."Don't think too much." He stated, walking to stand beside her, facing me. "Ava, meet Hazel, my omega mate and slave," he began introducing. "Omega," he referred to me, "meet Ava, my wife." What His wife? Alpha Alaric already had a chosen mate?God, was this a joke? It was a cruel joke indeed."Baby, why does she look pale?" Ava looked disgusted at me."It's how omegas act when they see beautiful things." He snickered. He was rejecting me directly. Damn, it hurt so bad. Whatever he wa

Alana’s POVI jerked back to reality, my attention back to the man in front of me. He was glaring at me."I'd like to get started, if you're willing to pay attention now." The Alpha grumbled.Without waiting for an answer, he signaled to the elder to begin the ceremony."Ladies and gentlemen, it is my honor to be here at the Sun Moon Pack today to bless the union of these two children of the Moon Goddess. Shall we?"He looked at my mate, and he nodded once. The elder looked to me with a soft smile, which I returned."Do you, Hazel?" He stumbled for a second, and I smiled sheepishly. The Elder cleared his throat and started again. "Do you, Hazel of the Sun Moon Pack, accept this union and my blessings?""I do," I muttered."And do you acknowledge and accept that henceforth, you will no longer be a member of the Sun Moon Pack?""Yes." I replied a little more eagerly, Who wouldn't be happy to leave the place called hell?"Then, as an Elder of the Werewolf Sitting Council, I hereby strip

  • The Alpha’s Auctioned Mate   Chapter 104

Alana’s POV"Hurry up, slave! You have no work to do, after all. Did you even bathe? You stink," barked the Alpha, his tone filled with disdain.I rolled my eyes, growing tired of his constant belittling. I couldn't comprehend why the Alpha thought it was a good idea to assign his spoiled omega sex slave to help me prepare for my mating ritual. It was beyond me. When my mate was in the pack, they allowed me to rest, although my mate would occasionally yank me out of bed by my hair if I got too comfortable. Since then, the slave, Jennifer, had done nothing but waste time on her phone and hurl insults at me with her attitude."Yes, Jennifer," I muttered, my voice laced with irritation. She snorted in response and returned her attention to her phone. I was nearly ready for the ritual. My thick brown hair had been pulled up into an elegant twist, with the veil neatly tucked into place. I hadn't worn any makeup, so I had no choice but to embrace my natural appearance. It didn't bother me
