Chapter 24 - Paralyzed with fear
The overwhelming feeling of panic and dread consumed Lilith as she ran for her life.
The panic coursing through her felt different this time. It was deeper in the way it surrounded her. It lured her awareness of everything except what it deemed as a threat, the six pairs of paws chasing her.
She begged her legs to move faster. She could hear their ragged breathing mixed with their frustrated growls getting louder and closer.
All at once, she felt a forceful jerk against the back of her legs as if one of the three wolves following her directly rammed into her from behind.
She found herself falling. She abruptly met the ground. A painful cry of agony left her mouth.
She felt sharp claws digging into her back, tearing her shirt as she tried to get away. They harshly pulled her from the spot that she was in, a snarl sounding close to her ears.
The sudden action caused a sharp yelp from her before she was pulled into something hard, the hold now

Blaze couldn’t stop Bash from taking in another lungful of her enticing scent which consumed them whole. Noticing something absurd, Lilith’s heart skipped a beat in nervousness as she took in the stiffness in Blaze’s body. His eyes were wide and already shifting from silver to blue.
