096_An Eye On Her

Lloyd’s POV

I was still reeling from the encounter with the ghost witchy bitchy, but I had greater concerns.

After the last time I ran into Xavier, who claimed that Elora had come to the house earlier, she had not dropped by.

I made sure this time to keep an eye on her. I was up earlier, spent more time in the assembly hall, and for four days, I’d not see Elora’s taillights.

She didn’t show up.

I headed up the stairs to my room.

Xavier was nowhere to be found, so I guessed he must be dealing with managing the betas, since the person who should be managing them doesn’t see any reason to show up at the alpha house this afternoon.

I walked through the entrance to my study and closed the door.

I rounded the desk and sat in my desk chair, swiveling it slowly.

I trusted Elora, and I held her up to a certain degree in the area of morals.

Elora won’t do anything shady unless she has a very strong reason.

But I couldn’t help it that her inconsistency was giving me a reason not to trust her. It
