Dante

Fifty men.

Fifty families that I would need to face. Fifty apologies I would have to find the right words for, knowing there weren't any. The bombing had been precise and deliberate and it had left nothing to send back to them. There were no remnants of their bodies or anything families could bury.

I picked up my gun from the desk and began loading it.

The room was quiet and I preferred it that way right now.

I sensed her before I heard her so I didn't even bother to look up as I spoke.

DanteShe was so close. Violet was so close I could feel the heat radiating from her body, her breath mingling with mine in the heavy silence. God, she looked wrecked already—those wide eyes glistening with unshed tears, her lips parted just slightly, trembling. We’d been here before, tearing each other apart only to crawl back for more. But tonight, with the storm raging outside mirroring the chaos in my chest, I couldn’t walk away. Her fingers brushed my jaw, feather-light but electric, sending a jolt straight through me. “It hurts, Dante,” she whispered, her voice breaking on my name. “I need to feel something real before it all falls apart again.”That was all it took. The dam inside me shattered.I grabbed her, pulling her against me with a desperation that bordered on violence. My mouth crashed down on hers, hungry and punishing, tasting the faint salt of her tears as they finally spilled over. Her lips were soft, yielding at first, then fierce as she kissed me back, her hand

Third Person POVThe rain poured outside, leaking through the cracked roof of the abandoned warehouse. Heavy drops hit the concrete floor with a steady, rhythmic thud. Shadows stretched across the empty, dust-covered room. It was pitch black except for the dim light of a single flashlight sitting on a wooden crate. The air smelled of old rust, damp wood, and rot. It was the perfect place to hide. It was the perfect place to plan a murder even, but they weren't doing that... yet. Two men stood near the center of the room, keeping their voices low so the sound wouldn't carry past the broken walls. The older man looked around the dark, empty space, a cold, satisfied smile spreading across his face. He pulled his heavy coat tighter around his shoulders to block out the chill, but inside, he felt warmer than he had in years."We're so close," he whispered, his voice barely louder than the dripping water. "After all these years of waiting, after everything we've sacrificed, we're finally

RonWhat was the point of living?I sat flat on the edge of the unmade mattress, staring down at my thick, trembling hands while the quietness of the small bedroom threatened to completely choke me to death. The black training jersey was still pressed tightly against my chest, smelling so strongly of her lavender shampoo and sweat that it felt like a sick, twisted trick played by my own mind.Just a few days ago, she was laughing at the top of the grand staircase, looking so full of life and fire that nobody could have ever predicted this nightmare. And now she was gone.My mind kept spinning backward, forcing me to watch a continuous replay of every single second I had ever spent by her side since the day she first joined the warrior line.I remembered how Alex first resisted **me** because she was Dante's sister, and dating the Alpha's blood sister wasn't really in my agenda, but I couldn't help it.Dante was the Alpha and my boss, a terrifying man who demanded absolute perfection a

VioletI stood right beside Dante, my hand locked tightly in his. Neither of us spoke a single word. There was simply nothing left to say.The entire pack had gathered outside on the grass. Everyone wore solid black clothing, and the faces I saw every single day looked completely different today. Nobody smiled. Nobody even whispered. Even the usually loud children stayed pressed close against their parents' sides, sensing the heavy grief in the air.I looked down at the plain wooden coffin one last time. Alex was really gone. It still didn't feel real to me.Dante squeezed my fingers, breaking the silence. "You okay?" he asked quietly.I nodded my head, but the truth came out anyway. "No," I whispered. He let out a slow, heavy breath. "Me neither," he replied.Silence settled heavily between us again.Bret stepped closer to us, his expression grim. "It's time," he said.Dante stared at the wooden coffin for a few more seconds before finally nodding. "Let's do it," he said.Four strong

violet The hallway was quiet. Too quiet. People were talking somewhere in the distance, but it all sounded far away and muffled, like I was underwater. I didn't pay attention to what they were saying. I just kept walking, one step after another, my body moving on autopilot while my mind was somewhere else entirely. Somehow, I ended up outside our bedroom. I stared at the door for a moment, trying to remember how I'd gotten there. I didn't even remember walking from Ron's room. I pushed the door open slowly. Dante was sitting on the edge of the bed, his elbows resting on his knees, his hands locked together so tightly his knuckles were white. He was staring at the floor like he'd forgotten how to move, like the world had stopped and he was stuck in this moment forever. He didn't even notice me at first. "Dante," I said softly. His head lifted slowly and his eyes met mine. They were empty. Not cold like I'd seen them before, not angry—just empty. Like someone had hollowed him out

Violet I didn't know how long we stayed there. One minute I was holding Ron, and the next I was crying so hard I couldn't even tell if the tears on my face were mine or his. He was shaking against me, his arms wrapped around my waist like if he let go, everything would become real. I didn't want to move. I didn't want to think. I didn't want to believe she was gone."I'm sorry," Ron said again, his voice rough and broken. "So damn sorry."I tightened my arms around him, pulling him closer. "Stop saying sorry.""I should've—" he started, but I cut him off."No.""I should've gone with the both of you.""No." I shook my head firmly, pressing my cheek against his. "Ron, no.""I should've stopped her." His voice cracked."You couldn't." I could feel him shaking, could feel the guilt pouring off him in waves. He pulled back slightly, his eyes searching mine for something—anything.."I could've tried," he said, and it sounded like a question. Like he was begging me to tell him he was wron

Violet's POVThree days later, I stood in the yard with my weight mostly on my good leg. My ankle still hurt a little but I could stand now without falling over. I held my training knife tight and practiced my swings again and again. The sun felt warm on my skin as I moved.I kept thinking about Da

Violet's POVI rolled over on the massive mattress, my hand instinctively reaching out for the familiar, burning warmth that usually occupied the other half of the bed. My fingers only met cold, empty sheets. I opened my eyes, blinking against the bright morning sun pouring into the bedroom, and fo

Unknown’s POVI had been waiting for my revenge for years now.Every single day spent in the shadows, watching him live his perfect, powerful life while mine was completely ripped away, had only fueled the fire in my chest. Dante’s POV"Come here,” I said.Violet blinked at me like she was still half asleep, then shuffled forward on those big grey socks that made her feet look twice their size. She stopped right in front of the desk, rubbing her arm like she was cold even though the villa stayed warm all night. Her e
