The morning goes by quickly with Alessia ordering and placing the designs where it was supposed to be. Her mind was occupied with work but that didn't stop her from thinking about that strange man, she was fond of calling him strange since she didn't know his name.
Alessia was talking to one of the workers appointed to her when Collins, one of her colleagues, walked up to her with a charming smile.
" You're such a hard-working and beautiful lady, Alessia " he complimented and Alessia smiled in return. She knew that Collins had an eye for her since she started working here but she doesn't feel anything for him because he wasn't her type, or maybe she has no specific type in a man.
" Thank you, Collins. You're not too bad yourself. You appear so charming. " She replied and that made his smile widen. He appeared to be handsome but she felt nothing for him.
" I just wanted to ask, if we could go out tonight for dinner. " He said.
" I... "
" Please don't reject my offer. It's just a friendly offer and nothing else, I promise. " He persuaded and Alessia couldn't help but accept his offer since he said it was nothing but a friendly dinner.
" Thank you so much, Alessia. You won't regret it. "
In the night.
" Wait! What did you just say? You're going out on a dinner date with a guy. I'm so happy for you. Finally, you may have met your life partner. " Zelda ranted, pacing to and fro as she talked about Alessia's date, but Alessia couldn't help tiredly shaking her head. She had tried explaining to her best friend that it wasn't a date but just a mere friendly dinner and nothing else but it seems she misquoted her.
" It isn't a date. " Alessia snapped.
Alessia walked into the restaurant dressed in a black silk dress which stopped just above her knee and had one side strap on her shoulder while the other side looked like a wrapping design which made her look extremely elegant. Even though this wasn't a date she still wanted to look right, especially in a place like this that had a certain dress code.
She looked around the restaurant and knew it was solely for upper-class patrons, not for people like her. She let out a sigh, she thought Collins had said this was a friendly dinner then why did he tell her to come to such a high-class restaurant.
A waiter walked towards her and showed her to the table where Collins was already seated. He was dressed in a white suit that had a red bow on it. She couldn't understand why he was dressed like that or why he had everything arranged as if this was a date, but she decided against thinking so because she wouldn't like it if she got to know he tricked her into coming to have dinner with him thinking it was just a friendly dinner.
" You look absolutely beautiful, Alessia. " He said and gestured for her to sit down, by pulling out her chair for her like a gentleman.
She sat down and smiled at him, " You don't look too bad yourself, but why would you bring me to such an expensive restaurant?! " She threw the question at him.
" You deserve all the best, Alessia or do you expect me to bring you to a high-end restaurant in the streets. " He replied and they both chuckled.
" I never knew you were such a funny guy. " She flushed, as the same waiter earlier walked towards them to take their order.
" I would like some sushi and a white wine. Thank you! "
" So, tell me about yourself? " Collins asked, after the waiter left.
" Well, there's nothing to say about me except that my name is Alessia. " She stated and he chuckled and placed his right hand on hers, her inner muscles jolted up, but not at his touch but at the feeling of being watched.
She could feel a penetrating gaze behind her, watching her closely, she could feel it and was extremely uncomfortable.
The waiter walked up to them with their order and served it on the decorated table.
" I would like to know a lot more about you. " Collins said, which made Alessia frown but it wasn't obvious.
" Why would you want to know more about me? "
" Why do I feel like you're being secretive about yourself?! I would like us to be more than just friends. " He muttered, taking her hand in his, bringing them closer to his lips and placed a kiss on the back of her hand, all this was witnessed by Marcus, who sat on a chair five feet away from theirs.
" Friends?! And who told you we were friends. " The deliberate cruelty of her words cut deep through him like a knife but he decided to giggle it away.
Seeing his mate having fun with another man, Marcus's wolf couldn't help but become restless and angry, there was an internal struggle between him and his wolf, as it tried to fight for control over his body.
" You have to stop, Draven."
" Mate! Mate is with another man. I want my mate. She's mine, only! " His wolf, Draven roared in rage.
" Sir, we have been talking about the contract. When can we get your signature on it?! " His inner thoughts were distracted by the man who he had come to the restaurant with, for a business deal.
Throughout the dinner, Alessia felt uncomfortable and she finally glanced behind her to take a peek at who was looking at her, then her eyes met with his. She felt a little creeped out with him being there, but she was also glad in case Collins makes a move on her.
He had been acting strangely and she didn't like that, she was even regretting ever accepting his offer.
" Where would you like to go after this dinner?! " He smiled.
" Where else could I go, except from my house. "
" You could follow me to mine. I have a lot of comfortable rooms. " He winked at her,
" What are you insinuating?! I came here to have a friendly dinner with you but I didn't expect you to be nothing but a douchebag. " She scoffed, her patience almost reaching its limits.
" You don't have to shout. My offer isn't a big deal, I like you and I would love to screw you." He said, while licking the side of his lips.
" You... " Her words were cut short as she felt a familiar presence looming over her from the back. Collins's face went as white as a sheet upon seeing the tall, muscular and imposing man standing behind Alessia, glaring daggers at him.
He didn't recognize Marcus as his boss. Marcus is the owner and CEO of Walter's Enterprise but only a handful of staff had seen him.
" And, who the hell do you think you are to touch mine! "
To be continued...
Marcus didn't understand why he reacted like that but he had to. He doesn't want her but he also doesn't want her to be with anyone else, it's like a game of tug of war going on in his head." And, who are you to her?! " Collins asked nervously, as he stared at Alessia for an explanation." You wouldn't want to find out who I am, because if you try to, you will only end up digging your own grave. " The deliberate solemn in his voice made Collins shiver all over in fear as his eyes were wide with terror. Who could this man be to Alessia?! Could this impulsive man be her boyfriend?! For him to threaten him and claim possession of her the way he did earlier, it all made sense to him that this man must either be Alessia's lover or boyfriend." I'm sorry, I didn't know she was already taken. " He faked a giggle as he stood up to take his leave, his hands trembling due to the intense gaze of Marcus, he tried not to look into his eyes as he quickly walked away. Alessia just sat still, watch
Thursday morning.Alessia walked into her office only to be informed that all her orders had arrived and her secretary had signed the paperwork as the receiver, but when she inspected the delivery, she came to know that some things were missing or rather not delivered and that made her really disappointed. She didn't have any other choice but to go back to the mall to sort out the mix up.Alessia checked everything else had been delivered and was right, before leaving the office, getting into her car and making her way to the mall where she had originally ordered the items from. The whole journey there she hoped that this problem would be able to be peacefully rectified, especially as the paperwork had already been signed to say that everything was present and accounted for. After a while Alessia pulled onto the mall's car park and parked her car.Alessia walked into the mall, passing the security guards dressed in their uniforms. As usual a salesgirl walked to her, but it wasn't the
After making sure that the mix-up was sorted out, even though he still didn't show himself to his staff and just made a few calls to the manager, everything was resolved. Alessia left his office happy but with a hazy look, but just a drop of her blood had sent him into a frenzied hunger and he couldn't help wanting to feed on something warm and fresh to satisfy his bloodlust.Kane had to get out of there, he had to leave his office before he slaughtered everyone there and feasted on their blood. He looked at the door to his office, but knew that he wouldn't be able to use that as his exit without being seen by someone and stopped. He looked to the window overlooking the vast and beautiful woods, deciding that it would be the perfect getaway. He opened it as wide as he could and then jumped out. He landed on his feet and immediately took off running towards the woods. Once under the cover of the trees he stopped and closed his eyes. He started listening for a heartbeat, sniffing the a
In the midst of her morning haze, Alessia's eyes fluttered open, two thoughts struck her.Firstly, She accepted her mother's proposal to come spend the weekend with her. And secondly, she was going to her mother's house today and she doesn't know what awaits her.She ran a lazy hand through her messy hair, as she stood up from her bed and robotically began grabbing the things she was going to take to the cottage as she began placing them into her suitcase. When she was sure she had finished packing all her things, she walked into the bathroom to take a shower. Although she had to go to work soon, she would make sure to return early so she would have a chance to head to the cottage. She double checked and was satisfied to see that her suitcase was properly packed. She walked into the living room, seeing her best friend Zelda on the couch, watching TV, she couldn't help but smile." Good morning. Aren't you going to work today? " She teased, knowing fully well that Zelda was a lazy ass
Alessia walked through the tiny hallway to the kitchen after changing into her comfortable sweatpants and singlet. Immediately, the rich aroma of cheese floated to her nostrils, and she sighed in content the second she saw her mother dishing out their dinner on a plate. " It smells so lovely. I've really missed you and your home-made meals. ""Well you're here now and the food is ready, so dig in." Her mother replied, placing the plates on the kitchen table, but when Alessia looked she couldn't help wondering why there were only two plates being served and that was when she realised someone was missing and she hadn't seen him since she had been back." Mom, what about Martin?! " She asked curiously, watching her mother's expression. Her mother looked up, but her face went as white as a ghost, like there was something wrong but Alessia didn't know what. She tried figuring out what could be going on in her mum's mind, but before she could come up with any ideas her mother looked at her
Alessia didn't know what to do but just stared at the wolf in front of her. The wolf was massive, much bigger than she thought a wolf could be. He was black all over, his eyes kept changing colour, between gold and black, each was weird. He was standing tall and looked strong, but Alessia had still never seen a wolf as big as this and this wolf was staring at her like he owned her. She was supposed to be scared, nervous and should scream her lungs out at the creature in front of her, but it all seemed those emotions were far away from her because right now, she was just fascinated by what she was seeing and curious although she wouldn't lie, when she first saw the wolf, he scared the shit out of her, but when his eyes bore into hers, she felt so vulnerable and the lake became so cold that she shivered all over. She gazed into those dark eyes and they reminded her of someone, someone that was so strange and mysterious, but when she realised his eyes had moved to her boobs, she couldn't
Marcus went to take a shower, to cool and calm himself down after seeing his mate like that, but while he was in the bathroom Louisa snuck into his room and stripped her clothes off. She lay on his bed wearing just her lingerie, which she had specifically picked out for this occasion and waited for Marcus to come back into the bedroom. She listened to the running water of the shower and then it stopped, telling her he would be in soon. Marcus got out of the shower and dried himself off, then wrapped the towel around his waist and went back into the bedroom. He still couldn't get his mate out of his head and then he smelled Louisa's scent in his room. He turned and saw her laying on his bed, but this just made him sigh. He and Louisa used to have fun together, but that was before he met his mate and now he didn't want her, he didn't want this. " Get dressed and get out." Marcus said, getting straight to the point, but Louisa just giggled as she got off the bed and walked over to him.
" It all happened on a day when Martin came home drunk as usual, he forced me to sign everything over to him and put it in his name. I didn't want to do it because I witnessed how your father fought so hard to have something he could call his own and not for another person to come claiming it, but I had no choice, he had threatened me. " Sandra replied, looking down at her hands. The hurt was clearly visible on her face." Mum, why? You had always told me how my father strived hard just to have all of this. What are we going to do now?! Because I'm fully aware of that scumbag not wanting to give us everything back and what does this have to do with his gambling? " Alessia groaned, frustrated." I was coming to that. He had made a bet with your father's properties. I can't understand why he would even think of doing that just for a piece of diamond. He lost the bet and now the man is threatening to kill him if we don't vacate the house in a week. This is why he wasn't here when you arr
