BLOOD MOON; THE DAY WE FEARED

Finally it’s time, the dark clouds had covered the sky and it was only thirty minutes before the blood moon rises. We were all in the woods, far deep into the island and as far away as possible from the main city.

There were a lot of us. Alicia and I were only standing about ten feet away from Maxwell while Ronald, Wilfred and Flynn were chaining him to the trees. We found the best spot in the forest with the largest trees and we also used multiple large iron chains in hopes that they will be able to hold him until his transformation is complete.

I could already see Maxwell’s beastly eyes as he kept glaring at us.

“Ronald, hurry up,” I said.

“It’s almost ready,” he answered and after a while they both returned to where I was standing.

“Max, you have to stay calm, you can do this,” Alicia said.

“No, I can’t,” Maxwell replied. “Save me, please… Mom,” he called out.

I held her back when she was about to take a step. She looked at me and I wagged my head gently.
