6. Bloodmoon pack.

Alpha Leo's Pov.

My office door opened as I reviewed my packs data, finance, statistics along with a few other things.

For five months my wolf had restrained himself for, I hadn't shifted in five months and I had passed being nice to anyone.

"Another search has come up empty Alpha." My Beta Williams said to me.

"Don't you think I could've fucking smelt her from a mile away if she was with you or the others?!" I shouted at him annoyed.

"Sorry Alpha." Williams apologized.

"Get out!" I ordered him.

I swiped my hand across the table throwing away the papers I was working on.

"Son..."

"That's Alpha Leo to you." I addressed my mother.

"You haven't eaten anything since yesterday and....." I immediately cut her off not wanting to hear what she had to say to me.

"Whatever I do I with my life is none of your concern. I have been baring the detrimental consequences of your concern for the past month." I flatly said to her.

I no longer saw her as my own mother, what mother would put her own son at risk of dying to preserve the pack for future bloodlines.

"We do admit that whatever we had done was in accord to the betterment of the pack. We do admit that we had gone overboard and is now paying the full consequences but that's no way to talk to your mother son." My father entered my office.

I laughed out of pain and hurt, I was still in devastating pain yet I could no longer feel anything anymore and it was all because of the one's standing before me.

I had a big part to play in all of this, I should've stood up for my mate when they came with ways of continuing the packs strong legacy through powerful wolves.

"You speak as if your the one's feeling the pain, well let me remind you that the reason why I can no longer shift is because of you two, the reason why my mate ran away was because of you two, the reason why my wolf no longer speaks to me is because of you two, the reason I cannot have pups and it's because of you two!"

"I foolishly followed whatever you two said and now here I am, unable to protect a pack that I am now an Alpha to. I blame myself for everything, but because I had at most respect for my parents, the previous Alpha and Luna of the blood moon pack, I listened to you two because you two guided the pack to multiple victories and so I foolishly put my trust in you." I was now seething at the end of my speech.

"It still isn't late Leo..." My mother spoke before I stopped her.

"That's Alpha Leo, or would you like me to get up and go, leaving the title to someone who more able to protect the pack, someone along the lines of my Beta?" After saying this they both objected.

"Get out, I need to complete my work." I voiced unenthusiastic about the two being in my office.

"Leo..." My so called mother who destroyed my life tried to call out to me.

I glared at them as they quickly took the opportunity to leave instead of facing me.

I got up and stared through out the window in my depressed state. All those years of trying to protect my beloved my gone to waste.

I only hoped Athena was ok and nothing was wrong with her.

A knock could be heard on my door, a few seconds later Amelio, one of my pack Omega came through the door.

"Alpha, everything is in place for us to depart to the Crestmoon pack." Amelio spoke to me.

"Good, you may now leave."

Hopefully this trip to the Crestmoon pack would help me in more ways than one.

This meeting between the Crestmoon and my pack was in accordance with our annual mating ceremony but I have other plans.

The Crestmoon pack and our pack are great allies, but my main visit would be that of seeing Selene the oracle.

The oracle who has been known to have died as I've heard is still alive and resides or currently hides within the sanctuary of the Crestmoon pack.

I was able to confirm this with Alpha Killian who is the head of the Crestmoon pack.

I needed for Selene to give me an insight as to where my mate might be, I needed for Selene to help me with my wolf who had caged himself from and would no longer let me shift due to the loss of our mate, I needed to know so much. I have so many questions that needs to be answered immediately and Selene was the right person for this.

I watched Athena's parents and sister for the past hour do several hours of hard labor for the pack, they were lucky I hadn't thrown them out of my pack after what they did to Athena.

The day I found out what Athena's parents did made me furious. They were going to work the rest of there lives doing nothing but hard labor for the rest of the pack. Nothing could save them from my wrath.

Athena had gone through so much that day, If I could make myself feel pain I would, unfortunately my wolf had caged himself and I could no longer quickly heal myself.

I was already weak and unable to defend my pack if there was to ever be a threat, luckily our pack only had to deal with a few rogues now and then.

Causing myself harm would be foolish of me knowing I had an entire pack life's at stake, I wouldn't even be able to direct them in battle if there was a need to.

For these past few months I have been training myself tirelessly. I was uncertain if I would even be able to defend my pack.

"Amelio." I called for my Omega.

"Yes, Alpha?"

"Have this mess on the floor cleaned, we'll be leaving to the Crestmoon pack in two hours." I told him.

"Yes sir."

Unbeknownst to me, all my answers that I was seeking was certainly going to be right in front of me.
