Chapter 1

It has been three weeks since Ellie had met Jasmine and Sofia, she had gotten to know the pair over that time period and also her brother Jason had met them. Both she and her brother had felt the same connection to Jasmine and her daughter. Both their wolves feeling content whenever they were in close proximity to Jasmine and Sofia.

They had often met up at the mall or at Jasmine's home. Today, Ellie was babysitting Sofia, Jasmine was busy at work and couldn't find anyone to watch over her daughter on a Saturday, so Ellie had offered to look after Sofia.

Ellie didn't mind, Sofia was the sweetest baby she has ever had to watch over. Jasmine was dropping Sofia off in a bit. Hearing the doorbell, Ellie quickly dashed downstairs, excited to see Sofia. Opening the front door, she was met by a frazzled Jasmine and happily laughing Sofia.

Handing over Sofia to Ellie, Jasmine also put down all the baby paraphernalia required for a young toddler down next to Ellie, "I'm sorry, I'm running late, I've brought everything I think you might need and if there is anything you need, just call me...thank you" Jasmine rushed on, giving Sofia a light peck, quickly rushing down the stairs towards her car, waving as she drove away.

Ellie stood at the doorway, looking as Jasmine drove off. "Mamma bye bye..." Sofia cried.

'Don't worry, Mommy is come back later." Ellie soothed, closing the door and taking Sofia towards the lounge. Settling and playing with Sofia, luckily it didn't take long for Sofia to be consoled.

'What's that brat doing here?" Someone screeched behind Ellie, startling her and little Sofia. Putting Sofia gently down on the ground, Ellie turned towards the voice, 'Watch your tone..." Ellie warned, when she came face to face with Britney, the packs slut or in Britney's eyes the "Queen Bee". To Ellie, Britney was a nuisance and should be put in her place. Nobody talks to the Alpha's daughter in that tone.

Feeling protective of Sofia, Ellie let her wolf come forward, her eyes changing and her dominant side coming to the forefront, smirking when Britney's wolf bowed down, knowing that an alpha stood before her, "You better watch out how you speak pup...I will not tolerate that kind of attitude are we clear?"

"But...she is human!" Britney stammered.

"Quiet! Human or not, we do not treat anyone differently!"

"Yes...but..!" Britney tried to defy her alpha.

Grabbing Britney by her neck, Ellie pressed hard, "Don't press your luck...you are on thin ice."

Britney knowing she was defeated at that moment, submitted to her alpha female. Bowing her head in submission.

"Good...now get out of here." Ellie ordered, letting go of Britney's neck, satisfied as Britney obeyed and scampered away.

Turning around to make sure that Sofia was safe, Ellie was stunned, she could not see Sofia. Urgently she looked around, hoping that Sofia was hiding somewhere in the lounge, cursing Britney under her breath for distracting her from her charge....
