LOGINOlivia Anderson's POV
The wind howled like it was mourning me already. They dragged me from the pack house at dawn…two of Smith’s new enforcers, wolves I’d once laughed with at feasts, now stone-faced and silent. "Leave me alone you bastards! I command you!" I yelled, enduring the burn from the silver chains. "We don't take orders from you anymore...You are now equal to an omega!" The filthy enforcers laughed so loud that I could see a pair of yellow teeth. I cringed with disgust. I tried to stop myself from crying. My own pack, my father's pack had turned against me. Lila...foolishly, I never saw her true colours. My wrists were bound with silver-laced rope that burned every time I twisted. My crimson gown from the banquet was torn at the hem, stained with my father’s blood and my own tears. I hadn’t slept. I hadn’t eaten. I hadn’t even screamed since they pried my father’s body from my arms. I saved my strength. Because I knew what was coming. They marched me through the mist-shrouded pines to the eastern cliff…the one the elders called Widow’s Drop. It was a place where adulterers and other offenders were killed. It was a sheer fall of three hundred feet onto jagged rocks and black water that never forgave. Rogues, traitors and those unwanted crossed our borders ended here. I was all three now. I was being treated like an animal. Smith waited at the edge with his backlit by the rising sun. He wore my father's alpha clock. A gown only real alphas deserved. Lila stood beside him, wrapped in a fur cloak that had once belonged to my mother. Her hand rested possessively on his arm. She looked radiant, like the moon had personally kissed her good morning. They hadn’t even let me change. My belly was still soft, still carrying the only piece of hope I had left. The pain felt heavier than the ropes. My eyes were red from crying. Smith’s eyes flicked to it once. Then away. “Olivia Anderson,” he said, formal, cold, like he was reading a sentence instead of ending a life. “You stand accused of treason against the new order of Red Mist Pack. By refusing to accept the moon goddess’s true choice, you threaten the stability of the pack. For the good of all—” “Spare me the speech,” I cut in, voice raw but steady. “You’re not doing this for the pack. You’re doing it because I carry something you can never have again.” His jaw tightened. Just a flicker. But I saw it. Lila stepped forward, lips curling. “You were never meant to be Luna. You were a placeholder. A pretty little princess who thought love mattered more than power.” She leaned closer, voice dropping to a venomous whisper. “He chose me because I’m strong enough to give him heirs. Real ones. Not… mistakes.” My wolf which has been silent since the banquet finally stirred. She let out a low, dangerous growl built in my chest, weak but alive. Bond breaking was the most dangerous thing in the world. It was a miracle I even woke up. So many beloved died from a broken bond. Smith raised a hand. “Enough.” He nodded to the enforcers. They shoved me forward without caring about my pup. I stumbled to the very edge, toes curling over crumbling rock. Below, the river roared, white foam gnashing like teeth. The wind tore at my hair, whipping strands across my face. I could smell pine, blood, salt. Freedom I would never taste again. Smith stepped closer. Close enough that I could see the storm in his eyes flicker. The same eyes that softened when they stared into mine. “Do it quickly,” he told the enforcers. “She doesn’t need to suffer.” One enforcer grabbed my bound arms from behind. The other placed a massive hand on my shoulder. I twisted, just enough to look Smith in the eye one last time. “You’ll regret this,” I said, quiet but clear. “ I swear… one day, when you’re alone in that big alpha bed with no heir, no mate who truly wants you, no pack that doesn’t whisper behind your back..you’ll remember the day you murdered your own child. And you’ll choke on it.” His face didn’t change. But his hand twitched toward his chest, like the words had struck bone. Lila laughed highly and brittle. “She’s delusional. Do it now.” The enforcer behind me forced a stingy liquid that burnt my throat and made my stomach burn so badly that I had no time to cry. Hot tears flowed down my cheek, and before I could scream…He shoved me hard. My body tipped forward as time slowed. I felt the moment my feet left the earth and my pup dying inside me. The wind rushed up to meet me, screaming in my ears. My bound hands flew out instinctively, useless. I saw their grinning faces from the cliff. Lila waved with a smile, kissing Smith. That was my last sight as Olivia Anderson. My gown billowed around me like blood-red wings and inside me…I felt a tiny movement….my pup kicked once as if saying goodbye. I closed my eyes…surrending to fate. Flashes came then, bright and cruel: Smith’s laugh when we raced through the woods as teenagers. My father lifting me onto his shoulders at my first shift. The way the moonflowers glowed the night Smith marked me, whispering promises when he marries me. Lila’s smile when we were children, promising we’d always protect each other. All lies. The waves rushed up first. I didn’t scream. I simply had one clear, burning thought as the world tilted into black: ‘If I survive this… they will pay.’ The water hit like a thousand silver blades. It was freezing cold, dark. Everything went quiet. The celebration in the courtyard stretched late into the night.Laughter and music drifted through the pack grounds, there were bonfires crackling under a sky thick with stars. Wolves danced their hearts out, drank, and howled their joy for the new union, the Luna who had healed one of their own, the two Alphas who had claimed her openly before the entire pack. But eventually the crowd began to thin.Couples slipped away into the shadows. Others returned to their cabins to do who knows what. The fires burned lower.Olivia, Benjamin, and Mendoza remained near the largest fire, sitting close on a wide stone bench that overlooked the now-quiet courtyard. The triple-bond between them thrummed steadily with a warm, electric pulse... it felt so alive in a way it had never been before the ring slid onto her finger.Olivia’s thumb kept tracing the engraved names inside the band. Benjamin. Mendoza and Olivia. She felt their eyes on her.Benjamin’s gaze was steady, dark with quiet hunger. Mend
The new bond between Olivia, Benjamin, and Mendoza had barely settled when Olivia suddenly lifted her head. A sharp metallic scent cut through the calm air of the pack house corridor. Blood. Her eyes narrowed immediately. Benjamin smelled it the same moment she did, and his entire posture stiffened as instinct flared through him. Mendoza’s gaze darkened as well, the three of them exchanging a brief but serious glance. Something was very wrong. Without another word, they rushed outside together. The scent grew stronger with every step until it flooded the courtyard completely. When they stepped into the open space, the sight before them made several wolves nearby gasp in horror. Tasha lay on the stone ground in a spreading pool of blood. Her body was motionless, her clothes soaked through as crimson slowly spread beneath her. Marcus stood beside her, his entire body trembling violently with rage and fear. His wolf struggled beneath his skin, and a deep growl rumbled from his c
The massive iron gates of the Black Mist Pack opened wide.Word had spread quickly through the territory. Wolves gathered along the courtyard and the stone paths, their faces tight with worry and confusion.Nothing like this had ever happened before. One pack…Two Alphas…One Luna.It was unheard of.The sound of engines broke the uneasy silence as the convoy of vehicles rolled through the gates. The Betas jumped out first, moving quickly to open the doors.Benjamin stepped down unsteadily. His clothes were still damp, his body drained from the freezing river and the desperate fight to keep Mendoza alive. Yet his arm remained firmly wrapped around Mendoza’s shoulders, supporting him as they walked.Mendoza wasn’t in much better shape. His breathing was shallow, his body still trembling from the cold and exhaustion. The gathered wolves instinctively stepped aside, creating a wide path for them.Their eyes followed the two Alphas as they moved through the courtyard toward the pack house
BenjaminThe cold had already seeped deep into Benjamin’s bones.Every breath burned his lungs as he pushed through the freezing water, his muscles trembling from exhaustion. The current dragged at his legs, threatening to pull him under again, but he forced himself forward.“Mendoza!” he shouted hoarsely. His voice echoed weakly over the rushing water. For a moment, there was nothing. Then Benjamin saw him.A dark shape drifted several meters ahead, barely visible against the rippling surface. His heart lurched violently.“Mendoza!”Benjamin stumbled toward him, nearly losing his footing as the current surged against his thighs. By the time he reached him, Mendoza’s body had already gone slack, floating face-down in the water.Fear slammed into Benjamin’s chest. He grabbed Mendoza under the arms and hauled him upright. Mendoza’s head lolled forward, his skin pale and lips turning faintly blue.“No… no.”Benjamin dragged him toward the bank with what little strength remained in his bo
Olivia AndersonThe world tilted sideways. One moment I was standing in the east-wing corridor, Marcus’s words still ringing in my ears...."He’s on the north ridge tonight”..and the next the floor rushed up to meet me.Darkness swallowed everything. When awareness returned, it came in fragments: strong arms lifting me, the scent of fresh-baked bread and cinnamon, a soft voice murmuring, “I’ve got you, Luna. Stay with me.”Tasha carried me like I weighed nothing...long strides, steady breathing...up the main staircase, past the stunned faces of pack members who parted without a word.I tried to speak. Nothing came out.My lungs felt shallow, starved. Every breath was thinner than the last. The incomplete bond.Mendoza was running..farther every second and the thread between us was stretching, tearing, pulling something vital out of me with every mile he gained.Tasha kicked open the door to Benjamin’s private suite...the one he’d insisted I share with him after the proposal. She laid m
Olivia Anderson'Mate....We need our second mate...Olivia...I am getting weaker..' Chloe whimpered. I clutched my chest tightly as I dragged my beat boldly to the pack house. I knew Benjamin was feeling this sting too. The sting of losing a mate. It made my blood boil at each passing second. The walk from the mansion to the packhouse felt longer than it ever had.Every step echoed the ache in my chest, but I kept moving with my head high, shoulders back, the way my mother taught me when I was still just the Red Mist princess and not a Luna with a ring that suddenly weighed like iron. The moment I stepped through the main doors, the common room quieted.Heads turned and conversations died mid-sentence...I watched as wolves froze mid...chase.Even the fire in the hearth seemed to dip lower, as if it knew something heavy had walked in.I didn’t stop. I kept walking.People bowed their heads...small, respectful dips. Warriors straightened. Elders offered soft smiles that didn’t quite re

Olivia AndersonI woke up feeling as light as a feather. I didn't have the migraines that made my father order tones of painkillers, or the dizziness I often felt. It was a whole different feeling for me.I glanced around me, feeling the faint sunlight of Black mist territory hit my skin. And then
Benjamin Reed “Did you hear that? I think someone needs help..” I said, trying to pick up my hearing senses as much as I could. I was standing impossibly close to Sharon, the sassy yet sexy she wolf who I fucked each time I got a boner. She wrapped her arms around my neck and sniffled me slowly,
Sharon Rivers“I am the princess…blah blah blah…” I mimicked Olivia's voice as I dusted myself off the floor. It was one thing to steal my spot, but humiliating me was another thing. Back at home, people would tremble in fear whenever they heard my name.I quickly mind linked Tasha not to wait up
