Kaya’s POVThe tears gushed down my face alongside the water from the shower head. It was soothing to cry in the shower, I felt safe here in my space. As the water streamed down, I gazed at my body. Each of the slight bruises, the huge scars from the injuries I had obtained from the incident with the trio which wasn’t completely healed.Luta always strangled me, no doubt it had left a bruise on my neck this time.It had been five days since I'd last heard from Tyler or seen him. The way he left the room left me aching in my heart. After I told him I wasn’t right for him, he left angrily. I gave him an easy way out of my baggage life but it hurt to see him leave. I, on the other hand, haven’t left my room for any reason. Instead, I’ve been planning my escape from the pack. The possibility of running into Luta’s Mate made me nervous, I realized she would ask me what occurred and why they were in the dungeon and I didn’t want to be put in the position of explaining all that has happened.
Tyler’s POVAll I could think about was what Kaya must have passed through while growing up in the pack and how the werewolves treated her. To cap it all, the fact that she thought she was indeed cursed. Why didn’t she consult Pack mother to explain the prophecy to her?I've never felt so furious in all my years, how is it that someone as innocent and harmless as her could be cursed? What if this was all looked at the wrong way?Kaya was a bit tall but she was really skinny making me considerably more defensive of her now. I just couldn't make sense of how was able to go through all that torment and still be alive. She was not just bullied constantly, she was shunned by most people in the pack. The torture she went through must have been extremely harrowing. My deepest concern was that her wolf was a no-show. At first, my wolf had thought she was simply suppressing her wolf from manifesting because of all the troubles in her life. But then again, there was no reason to suppress her wo
Tyler's PovMy wolf was very vigilant implying that I should thread cautiously and I was ready to dissect the first being I come across. I followed their scents stealthy and it led me to a cave near the deserted land. Kaya’s scent became very strong but so was that evil aura. She was clearly in danger and I had to save her. I walked stealthily into the cave and spotted her caged in a corner. Without thinking, I dashed to her side, she was wounded and unconscious. Whoever did this didn’t plan on killing her right away, they needed her for something but I couldn’t tell. Filled with rage, I swore to kill whoever was involved in this. As I placed my hand on the cage to rip it apart, I felt a force weakening me instantly. “sorcery!” My wolf voice echoed in my thoughts.A spell was laced on the cage, it was a trap. The whole cave turned upside down and I had no grip, no balance. A sinister laugh caught my attention and, in that swirl, I spotted her, the being responsible for this. That aura

Kaya’s POVA mixture of vanilla and sandalwood filled my senses, comforting me. I opened my eyes to find myself in a room, Tyler’s, I thought. He lay beside me holding me tightly. I felt some kind of bliss, a kind of energized feeling I wasn't used to. His hand trailed up to my back bringing me closer as though to check whether I'm still here, causing a gasp to escape my lips. Tyler's been here by my side since he brought me back.Memories of what happened last night started pouring back in. I am a Hybrid. Holy Shit! The locket subdued my abilities, Mother was trying to protect me fro- from Zerx.I began to ponder what that would mean to the pack. Would they accept me? Does this mean that Tyler has accepted me?" I can hear you brooding, you know right?" he said, with a rough voice as though he scarcely awakened."I'm fine." I squeaked, shocked at how sore my throat was. I've somewhat been up for about thirty minutes. My body seemed to have healed, it seemed like I had the ability to
Kaya’s POVWe ventured into his office, I put my hands behind my back and glanced around. It had creme-shaded walls with an enormous window that showed the forest toward the rear of the pack grounds. A dark work area sat in the centre, he likewise had a shelf closest in his work area and sofas on the other side of the room. There were additionally two seats positioned before his work area. His fragrance was all over and to me, it was calming.I strolled over to his shelf to see what he had, perhaps a book I might read until he finished chipping away at his pack work."You can read one if you want." his voice reverberated around the room, I looked over to him to see him heading for his work area.Nodding my head, I glanced through his shelf and saw he had one of my top choices; 'North and South'. Without wavering, I got it from the rack and opened it and advanced towards one of his sofas. Preferably, the one nearest to his work area, it made me feel more secure being near him. When I s
Kaya's POVThe one thing I could hear with my head against his chest was his heartbeat. Before long, I felt my eyes droop from how drowsy I was. Maybe it was because of the way his hand caressed my back in a soothing way. Perhaps it was the other hand who massaged my scalp before searching his fingers through my thick hair. My breaths were getting shallower as I grasped his shirt firmly starting to fall into a deep sleep.Or so I thought until a boisterous sound grumbled all through the room. I had thought he growled for reasons unknown but then I realized it was only my own stomach. It was yelling at me for not eating for an entire two days. Well, this was humiliating I thought. Before I knew it, my jawline was out of nowhere turned and faced up to meet the eyes of my mate. My eyes were barely open from nearly nodding off."When did you have a good meal?" he asked, his thumb stroking the corner of my mouth as he held my jawline.Would it be advisable for me to lie? That was my first
Kaya's pov...........................................................................................A few years ago.............................................................................................."Isn't Tyler the best?"I was simply en route to go on a run after having coffee in the communal kitchen when I halted abruptly at Janis' voice. You need to pass through the common room to get to the hallway which was brutal. I most certainly came at the wrong time, sucking it up I walked through the lounge, attempting to avoid their gazes."Yeah he is so hot, did you see him when he was working out in the gym the other day?" Talia's voice reverberated as an answer to Janis while I spotted them on the lounge chair. They most certainly saw me since the two of them quit talking once I passed by the sofa. They stood up at the same time."Hello, freak." Janis hollered, grabbing my attention as I glanced toward them, "Wouldn't you say Tyler is only the sexiest person ever." she sco
