The room is too quiet, too cold, too… unnerving.

The headmaster looks at me, I’m currently cursing myself for not asking his name. The fact that he knows mine but I don’t know his makes me uneasy. He smiles at me and says, “I don’t know where your parents are, Ms. Stone.”
