Chapter Sixty-Six

Layla POV

I roll over and look at the clock, groaning when I see it's only four am. I climb out of bed and go to the bathroom for a shower. I throw on a pair of leggings, sports bra, hoodie, and sneakers before going outside into the crisp morning air. The town is quiet; everybody is still in their beds; I don't need much sleep anymore. Jogging for an hour in the morning helps clear my mind before the day begins.

We haven't got any younger pups; Zach said many of them didn't survive living as rogues. Jackson's mind-linked mum last night; he and Marian will be back today with another two hundred and fifty wolves. I will now have five hundred wolves in my pack; we have more than enough houses to accommodate everyone.

Monique and Simone leave after training this morning; they will be traveling to the city to pick up the security cameras I ordered. All the wolves will be at the arena at six am; they will be assessed for their strengths or weaknesses, even if it takes all day. The ligh

Nathan rejected her when she went missing, instead of searching for her to make sure she was ok.

I am glad so many people have come to her pack. She is definitely a strong Alpha who won't take sh!t from anyone. I think that is what they need. When her pack is trained and more established she should confront Nathan. I think it is too soon with her pack just starting.
