Mag-log inSabrina’s POV I tossed and turned on my bed long after Zenith had left but try as I might, I simply couldn’t shut down my thoughts.I huffed as I sat up, giving up on sleep and I made my way out of my room.My gaze darted to Zenith’s door but I instantly forced myself to look away.I made my way to the kitchen but as I pulled open the door, my eyes landed on Aria and I stilled.“Luna.” I greeted stiffly and made to leave but she called out to me.“You can stay Sabrina. You don’t have to look so terrified.” Aria chuckled and I paused.I debated within myself, wondering if I should stay or leave and my eyes strayed to Aria.“Don’t worry, I won’t try matchmaking you.” Aria added and I pressed my lips together but made my way into the room.“So that was what you were doing.” I muttered and Aria took a sip of her tea.“I think I was a bit too obvious wasn’t I?” Aria commented.“Well you certainly weren’t subtle.” I retorted as I made my way to the fridge and pulled out a carton of milk w
Sabrina's POV I stared at my reflection in the mirror as I pondered on all that had happened at dinner.Mark's offer had left me bewildered by its suddenness and then there was Aria…Did she really think I would agree to be Mark's mate? Was she simply trying to pair me up with him because she feared I would be a threat to her and Zenith?A pang shot through me at the thought of Zenith. I closed my eyes and willed my mind not to replay the events of this morning but try as I might, they were simply stuck at the forefront of my head. The way Zenith had looked at me, the intensity of his stare, how he held me…My eyes darted to the box in front of me and I hesitated for only a moment before I pulled it open.I turned over the box and all its contents fell onto the table. My heart raced as I picked up the first note and went through its contents.I lost track of time as I read the notes, one after the other and I felt old memories surface through my mind like a bandaid ripped open.I coul
Sabrina’s POV My eyes met Zenith’s and my lips parted at the heat I found in his gaze for a second before it was gone and he put on a blank expression. What the hell was that fire in his eyes?If I didn’t know any better I would have assumed he was…jealous.“Zenith?” Aria called out to Zenith.“I’m sorry, my wolf has been restless of late and he snapped at the mention of a walk. I should take him on a run soon.” Zenith explained smoothly and Aria nodded in understanding.“Actually, that’s a good idea. Why don’t we all go on a run?” Jasmine suggested and my heart dropped.“That’s actually a great idea. I can’t remember the last time I let my wolf out as well.” Aria announced and Zenith’s gaze strayed to me but I instantly looked away.He was the only one among our company who knew I didn’t have a wolf.“I’ll go get the chess board for when you get back.” I declared, trying to save myself from the inevitable embarrassment.“Actually, you could join us Sabrina.” Aria informed me and emb
Sabrina’s POV The first thing I noted was the distinct smell of dust which attacked my nostrils the second I stepped into the storage room.I flipped the switch on and my eyes trailed along the items which were scattered across the room.Where would I even begin to search?I let out a sigh as I looked around the room and I slowly walked deeper into the storage room.I lost track of time as I searched different corners of the room and just when I was about to give up, my eyes landed on a box which was hiding behind a mat.I pushed the mat away and dragged the box forward.I pulled open the box and I let out a relieved sigh as my eyes landed on the pack of chess.I pulled the chess box and just as I was about to close the box, a smaller box caught my eye.I picked up the box and my brows furrowed as the box seemed familiar but I couldn’t place where I had seen it.I pulled open the box and it was filled with notes.A gasp left my lips as I suddenly recalled where I had seen the box. Sabrina’s POV I hid out the rest of the day in my room as the last thing I wanted to do was run into Zenith or Aria. The little moment at the training grounds kept replaying over and over in my head and try as I might, I simply couldn’t forget it.I was certain Zenith had felt the pull exactly as I had. I had seen it in his eyes, it was unmistakable. For a wild second I imagined what would have happened if he had closed the little distance which separated our lips.Would I have put up a fight? Probably not.In a way, I guess I should be thanking Zenith for having the will power to pull away. It would have made everything unnecessarily complicated, had we kissed.I shook my head as I made my way out of the room.As much as I would love to stay back in my room and hide forever, I knew that was not an option.I still had to tend to Aria.Aria…Zenith’s elusive Luna. Just when I thought I was beginning to understand her she would do or say something which would completely throw me off.I
Sabrina’s POV Zenith’s gaze met mine and one corner of his lip tipped upwards.“Good, that’s exactly what I want. Let your instincts lead you.” He advised as he tried to use his free hand to land another blow but I caught that hand as well. Zenith was about to speak but I used my knee to deliver a blow to his abdomen and he groaned.I let go of both his hands and aimed at his face but he managed to step out of the way before I could land the blow.I kept up the momentum and moved on the balls of my feet. I had the upper hand now, I had tipped the balance in my favour and I had to utilize that before Zenith recovered.I delivered blow after blow and while some landed on Zenith, he managed to step away before most of them could touch him.I could see the impressed glint in his eyes and it fuelled me to keep up the attack.I threw another punch at Zenith and my knuckles met with his rock hard abdomen. He didn’t even bulge, my eyes met his for a millisecond before he used his leg to swe
