Just like the last time, I sensed her. The familiar scent hit me, along with the memory of her gentle smile. Invisible arms reached out to pull me in, bringing me deeper into the kaleidoscope of colours. The more I let it overtake me, the more the room I was in faded from existence.

I was now suspended in a womb of colour and light, my pain and anguish dissipating into the air.

I gazed around dreamily, trying to distinguish the direction in which I was going. However, I quickly realised it was not me that was controlling my journey.

Her scent became stronger, and all of a sudden, I was no longer in the kaleidoscope. I was in the park I’d loved as a child. Songbirds chirped merrily above me, hidden by the branches of the towering cedar trees. I smiled at their green foliage, consistently evergreen throughout the year.
