Destiny’s pov

I forced myself to concentrate. To focus on that swirling dark energy inside me.

I forced the world to be silent around me, clenching my eyes shut, begging the darkness inside to come out and save me.

But it didn't come.

My fists were folded at my sides. “Come on,” I gritted out, my heart pounding.

But nothing changed. I felt completely powerless and helpless, and the fear I had been pushing down, the fear that I had been fighting, came back with a vengeance.

Then I heard a grunt that I knew belonged to a certain alpha, and my eyes shot open just in time to see Theo’s strong body slamming into the rogue.

My mouth fell open, and I staggered backward, watching Theo defend me, watching him protect me.

Theo, in his wolf form, ripped into the rogue with his teeth, his body twisting and turning. His strength was on full display. The rogue, no matter how huge he was, didn’t have a chance. Theo tore into him with a terrifying, primal force that only an alpha had, and in a matter

  • The Alpha's Destiny    Not A Witch

Destiny’s povI ran. I didn't know where I was going, my feet just carried me away from the terror in Maria's eyes, away from the monster I had become. The darkness was gone, but its cold, hard echo lingered inside me, and the image of Maria's neck, bruised and bleeding under my hand, flashed behind my eyes with every frantic step. I had to get away from her, from this hallway, from everything that had just happened. As I rounded a corner, my path took me past a large, ornate mirror that hung on the wall. I glanced at it, and for a brief, horrifying second, I saw it. My eyes went wide in horror, a gasp escaping my lips. The reflection. It wasn’t me. No. It was me. But…it wasnt. It was a distorted, dark version of myself, a phantom with eyes that glowed with a chilling, dark light. And it was smiling. It was a slow, cruel smile that didn't reach its eyes. A smile of pure, unadulterated pleasure. My heart raced and my breaths became sharper. I didnt know if it was real or I was

Destiny’s pov“I’ll give you what you want. I’ll give you a child, and then I will leave. And never look back.”His jaw ticked as I said those words, a twinge of something that was akin to…pain flashing in his features, but he was quick to mask it. Quick to disappear into his hardened mask.Without waiting for another word from him, I turned and walked away, not sparing him a second glance. I stomped out of the office, the anger and hurt fueling my steps.I didn’t know why it hurt. But it did. I didn’t get it. It wasn’t like I expected more from him. I never did. But tell me why it still hurts that he was going to get what he wanted from me and dispose of me.I should be happy. I should be brimming with joy that I would finally leave this place and be free. And be my own person. But…I wasn’t happy. Just as I got to the end of the hallway, I saw Maria approaching, and it took everything inside me to hold back a groan. She was the last person I needed around me right now.She slowed do

  • The Alpha's Destiny    Never Look Back

Destiny’s povI was back in Theo’s room after the most terrifying few hours of my life. The battle was over. The pack had won, but at a huge cost. There were casualties, and I could feel the sadness and grief that hung in the air like a thick fog. I was sitting on my bed, staring at my hands. They were clean now, but I could still see the blood and feel the weight of the rogue’s heart in my palm. The memory of what I had done with the darkness, the brutal way I had killed the rogue, was replaying in my mind over and over again. And just as I had started to finally feel like myself again, a knock came on my door.It wasn’t Theo. I could smell it.Vanilla hanging in the air.“The Alpha wants to see you in his office, Destiny,” a female voice called from the other side.My heart sank. I knew this was coming. He was still angry.I took a deep breath and got to my feet. In a way, I knew what to expect. More scolding, more drilling into me, reminding me that I was weak, that I didn’t know

  • The Alpha's Destiny    The Darkness

Destiny’s povLetting this darkness take over was so much different than letting my wolf take over my human form. So different. I had little to no control over my wolf’s actions and I could easily switch back and forth. But letting this darkness take over, I was in charge of my body, but not in charge of my thoughts. Or…was I?The darkness was me now. My thoughts were dark, and the only thing I wanted to see was blood spilling. The only thing I wanted to taste was blood dripping from my fangs, my hands. I let out a low growl, my claws elongated, my veins pulsing with brewing darkness that I’d come to accept. “Come on, filth,” I murmured, a newfound bravery taking over my words. The rogue was still in his wolf form, but I could see the blazing anger in its eyes. Without wasting any more time, he started to charge at me, his snarls getting louder and louder as he got closer.Unlike the first time when a rogue tried to attack me, I didn’t freeze in fear. I didn’t move at all. But I

  • The Alpha's Destiny    Takeover

Destiny’s povThe air was thick with the smell of burning wood, smoke, and a metallic scent I was starting to get familiar with. The scent of blood. The sounds of the fights going on in the distance were deafening.Goddess. Just how big was the rogue attack? As I got closer to the border just east of the pack grounds, the chaotic scene that unfolded before me made my heart stop. I had known there was a fight, but this… this was a full-blown war.My heart was pounding hard against my chest as I watched the scene unfold before me, my eyes wide.Pack members and rogues were locked in a brutal battle. It was a battlefield littered with bodies, both wolf and human. A group of shifters stood their ground, their bodies shifting in place, preferring to let their wolves take over. Bones cracked and muscles tore as their human forms contorted, growing larger, stronger, covered in fur and teeth. If I weren’t a werewolf, I would say they were terrifying, their eyes glowing in the dim light, sna
