Edwina's POV...

When I exited the room the first time and heard the sound of broken glass, I wanted to turn back.

No, I rushed back, but then I saw Caleb enter the room before I did and felt that he was in a better place to help than I was.

I turned back again and went to the balcony of the pack house. I could see the whole of the night howlers' territory from up there, women, children, and men whose life depended on a battle with no hope of winning. That must be a whole lot of pressure on the Alpha, and with Ben on the loose, it must be extra pressure on him.

The fact that Ben knew all the ins and outs of the territory made it worse. He could go in and out without being noticed.
