Elara’s POV

“Moonstone royals have arrived.”

The words shattered the quiet morning instantly.

I looked up from the book in my hands while Nora froze near the window.

For one second—

Neither of us moved.

Then my pulse started beating too fast.

Too hard.

“What?” Nora whispered.

The servant standing outside my chamber door lowered his head quickly.

“The Moonstone Queen arrived unexpectedly an hour ago. The palace has been in chaos since sunrise.”

Cold unease slid slowly down my spine.

Queen Selene

Elara POVSilence did not follow the chaos. It settled into it.That was the first thing I noticed when my vision finally steadied. The hall was still full—too full—but nobody was speaking anymore. Even the whispers had died halfway, strangled by whatever truth had just been pulled out of the past and dropped into the present. My body felt wrong. Detached. Like I was standing slightly outside myself.Silas’s hand was still on my arm.I realized that only when I tried to move and couldn’t.Not because he was holding me tightly.Because I was shaking too hard to step away.“Don’t,” he said quietly. It wasn’t an order. It was a warning meant for me, not against me.I didn’t answer. My eyes stayed fixed on the parchment still lying open on the council table. The list.Names.One Crescent name at the bottom. That was the part my mind refused to leave.Because it meant something simple.Something unbearable. This wasn’t just Moonstone history. This was Crescent's involvement. And if that wa

Elara’s POV“The prince found what?”My voice came out weaker than I intended.Nora looked pale standing near the chamber doors while cold morning light spilled across the room behind her.Silas had gone completely still beside me.Dangerously still.“The Moonstone prince brought evidence,” Nora whispered carefully. “Something connected to the massacre.”My pulse started beating harder.Massacre.The word alone made my stomach twist violently.Because every time someone said it now—I saw flashes of fire.Blood.Screaming.Caspian.Of course, it was Caspian. Why did it always feel like he arrived carrying another piece of my ruined life?Silas’s jaw tightened slowly.“Where is he?” he asked coldly.“In the royal council hall.”The atmosphere inside my chamber shifted instantly.Heavy.Sharp.Like a storm building beneath skin.I looked down quickly and pulled my sleeve back over the glowing mark on my wrist before anyone else could notice it again.Too late.Silas had already seen it.

Elara POV“Protect your brother.”I woke up gasping. The words slammed through my head so hard my entire body jerked upright beneath the blankets.Darkness covered the chamber.Cold moonlight spilled across the floor. And my heart would not slow down.“Protect your brother.”Again. I eClearer this time. Not a dream.A memory. My fingers trembled as I pressed them against my mouth. Sweat clung to my skin while the echo of that voice still rang inside my head.Female.Soft.Desperate.My mother.I knew it somehow.God.The realization made my chest ache painfully.I threw the blankets aside and stumbled toward the window, trying to breathe through the panic crushing my ribs.Outside, Crescent territory slept beneath silver snow.Silent.Still.But my mind wasn’t still anymore.Because suddenly—I remembered tiny pieces too clearly.A little boy is laughing.Small hands reaching for mine.Golden eyes.“Lara, wait for me!”My knees weakened instantly.I grabbed the edge of the window bef

  • The Alpha's Forgotten Moonstone Princess    CHAPTER 68

Silas’s POVI heard her laugh before I saw her.The sound stopped me instantly.Soft.Real.And painfully unfamiliar. For a second, I thought I imagined it. Because laughter like that did not belong inside Crescent territory anymore. Not lately. Not after everything that had happened. Not from Elara. My chest tightened before I even stepped into the courtyard. Then I saw her.And something inside me went still.Elara stood near the center of the training grounds beneath the pale winter sunlight, dark hair pulled loosely behind her while snow drifted softly around the stone walls. She was smiling.Actually smiling. Not politely. Not pretending.Real.Caspian stood across from her holding a wooden blade while she tried — and failed — to copy his stance.“You’re leaning too far left,” he said.Elara frowned immediately. “I am not.”“You are.”“I’m perfectly balanced.”“You’re about to fall.”“I’m not going to—”Her foot slipped instantly against the frost.A laugh escaped her as Caspian

Elara’s POV“The heir has awakened.”I spun toward the window instantly. My pulse slammed hard against my ribs while cold wind rushed through the curtains.Nothing.The balcony outside my chamber was empty. No footsteps. No movement.Only darkness stretches across Crescent territory beneath the moonlight. But my wolf was already awake now.Alert.Uneasy.Listening.I stepped backward slowly, my fingers tightening around the sleeve covering my wrist. The silver mark underneath my skin pulsed again.Once.Softly.Like I heard the whisper too.Fear crawled sharply through my chest.Because that voice…I didn’t recognize it.And somehow—That made it worse.“Nora?” I called quietly. No answer.Strange.She was supposed to be outside my chambers tonight.I moved carefully toward the door before pulling it open. The corridor stood empty except for two guards at the far end. Both immediately straightened the moment they saw me.Watching.Always watching now.I hated it.“Did someone come thr
