POV: Elara

"I want a divorce."

The words left my mouth before I could second-guess them.

The entire longhouse seemed to freeze.

One step on the staircase. That’s all I had taken before I stopped, turned, and dropped the bomb like it meant nothing.

Silence.

Heavy. Thick. Dangerous.

I slowly looked over my shoulder.

Silas hadn’t moved.

But the glass in his hand had.

Cracked.

A thin line split through it, dark liquid dripping through his fingers onto the floor.

Genevieve blinked. Once. Twice. Like her brain refused to process what she just heard.

"What did you just say?" Silas asked quietly.

Too quietly.

I turned fully now, leaning casually against the wooden railing like we were discussing the weather.

"I said," I repeated, shrugging slightly, "I want a divorce. You heard me the first time, Alpha."

The title rolled off my tongue like an insult.

His jaw tightened.

The air shifted, his Alpha aura pressing down hard, suffocating, demanding submission.

My wolf stirred.

But instead of shrinking…

I smiled.

And that, more than my words, seemed to snap something in him.

"You don’t get to make that decision," Silas said, his voice dropping into a growl. "You are my fated mate."

"And?" I shot back instantly. "Is that supposed to impress me?"

Genevieve let out a sharp laugh, stepping forward. "Oh, this is rich. She hits her head once and suddenly she thinks she has options?"

I glanced at her, slow and unimpressed, my gaze dragging from her perfectly styled hair down to her jeweled fingers still clinging to Silas.

"You're still here?" I asked flatly. "I thought mistresses usually knew when to leave."

Her face snapped, the smile gone.

Silas’s eyes flicked between us, something unreadable flashing through them.

Good.

Let him be confused.

Let him feel what I’ve felt for years, disoriented, dismissed, irrelevant.

"I’m not asking for permission," I continued, pushing off the railing and walking down the stairs slowly, each step deliberate. "I’m informing you."

The sound of my boots echoed through the hall like a countdown.

Silas’s gaze tracked me the entire way down.

"You think you can just walk away from the Silverfang Pack?" he said. "From me?"

I stopped a few steps away from him.

Close enough to feel his heat.

Close enough to see the flicker of something behind his anger.

Curiosity.

I tilted my head slightly. "Watch me."

His lips curled, not in anger this time.

Something darker.

"You won’t survive a week," he said. "You don’t even remember who you are."

That hit.

Just slightly.

But I didn’t let it show.

Instead, I leaned in just enough for my voice to drop.

"Then I guess I’ll finally find out."

For a moment… neither of us moved.

The tension between us snapped tight, like a wire about to break.

Then—

His hand shot out.

Grabbing my wrist.

Hard.

A sharp gasp escaped me before I could stop it.

"You're not going anywhere," Silas said, his voice low and dangerous, his grip tightening. "Not until I say so."

My eyes dropped to his hand on me.

Then slowly lifted back to his face.

Calm.

Cold.

Unbothered.

"Take your hand off me."

"No."

I smiled again.

And then

I twisted.

Fast.

Precise.

His grip slipped just enough

Enough for me to drive my knee straight into his stomach.

Silas staggered back, releasing me instantly, a shocked grunt tearing from his chest.

The hall erupted into chaos.

Guards stepped forward.

Genevieve gasped.

And Silas…

Silas just stared at me.

Like he had never seen me before.

I flexed my wrist, rolling my shoulders like I hadn’t just attacked the most feared Alpha in the region.

"Next time," I said calmly, "ask before you touch me."

No one moved.

No one breathed.

Because something had just changed.

Something irreversible.

Silas straightened slowly, wiping a trace of blood from the corner of his lip.

And then

He laughed.

Low. Dark. Unstable.

"Interesting," he murmured.

His eyes locked onto mine, burning now—not with disgust…

But something far more dangerous.

"Very interesting."

My stomach tightened instinctively.

Not fear.

Instinct.

Predator recognizing predator.

"Seems like my Luna finally grew claws," he continued, taking a slow step toward me.

I didn’t move.

Didn’t flinch.

"Too bad," he added softly, "you still belong to me."

My smile faded.

Just slightly.

"Keep telling yourself that," I said.

Then I turned.

And walked away.

Again.

This time—

No one tried to stop me.

But as I reached the hallway leading to my chambers—

I heard him speak.

Not loudly.

But enough.

"Lock down the borders."

My steps slowed.

Just for a second.

"You want to run, Elara?" Silas’s voice followed, cold and absolute.

"Let’s see how far you make it."

My fingers curled slightly at my sides.

Good.

Let him try.

Because he had no idea—

I was already planning my escape.

And this time…

I wouldn’t just leave.

I would disappear.

But what I didn’t know…

Was it that someone else had already discovered my secret?

Silas POV“I love you, Elara. Not the High Luna who owns half my territory, not the War-Healer who saved my life with her own blood, but the woman who chose me when she had every reason to walk away forever. The mother who turned our broken pieces into something whole. The queen who stands beside me not because fate demanded it, but because she decided I was worth choosing every single day.”The words left my lips like a vow renewed under the soft glow of sunrise on the same cliff where everything had once shattered. The wind carried the salt of the sea below, whispering against our skin as golden light spilled across the horizon, painting the waves in hues of rose and amber. Elara stood pressed against me, her body warm and real in my arms, the new bond forged in blood, sacrifice, respect, and deliberate choice glowing like living sunlight between our hearts. Months had passed since the chaos of the feast hall and Vexar’s defeat, yet every time I held her here, it felt like the first

Silas POV“I choose you, Silas. Not fate. Not the bond the Goddess forced upon us. You are the man who took a poisoned blade meant for me, the broken king who knelt in filth and blood for six years just to prove he saw the woman, not the Luna. I choose you.”Elara’s voice was a raw, trembling whisper that cut through the wind howling across the cliff’s edge like a silver blade wrapped in moonlight. We stood on the very precipice where she had once leapt into the sea six years ago the same jagged rocks, the same crashing waves below, the same full moon bathing everything in ethereal silver. But tonight, nothing was the same. The air crackled with the golden threads of our new bond, forged not in destiny but in sacrifice, respect, and the hard choice to fight for each other. My chest tightened so fiercely I could barely breathe. I reached for her, my calloused hands still bearing faint scars from the gardens and the battlefield cupping her face with a reverence I had never shown anyone.

Silas POV“Elara of Moonstone, Sovereign Queen and War-Healer Princess… do you accept the mantle of High Luna of the United Packs, co-ruler of Silverfang Crescent, and rightful sovereign over half these ancestral territories by blood, sacrifice, and the will of both nations?”The ancient elder’s voice boomed across the sun-drenched Grand Clearing of Silverfang territory, carrying on the wind like a sacred vow. My heart thundered in my chest as I stood on the raised dais beside the ceremonial altar, the new respect-bond between us glowing like warm sunlight beneath my skin. This was the moment we had fought for — not through fate, but through blood, tears, and unbreakable choice.Elara stepped forward from the Moonstone procession that had escorted her across the neutral river at dawn. She no longer arrived as the exiled rogue wife who had leapt from a cliff six years ago. She came as a queen in her own right. Her gown was a masterpiece of both packs flowing silver silk embroidered wit

Silas POV“Leo, my brave little storm You don’t have to do this alone. Your mother and I stand with you. Whatever essence you offer, we will guard it with our lives and our new bond.”My voice echoed across the sacred Moonstone Grove, raw with the weight of every regret and every hard-won hope that had led us here. The ancient clearing pulsed with lunar energy, towering crystal formations glowing softly under the full moon as both packs gathered in tense unity. Crescent and Moonstone wolves stood shoulder to shoulder for the first time, their scents mingling in a volatile mix of awe, fear, and fragile trust. What is happening to us? The same wolves who had clashed with fangs bared mere days ago now watched in silence as a six-year-old hybrid prince prepared to offer part of his essence to heal the sickness that had nearly torn two kingdoms apart.Elara stood on Leo’s other side, her hand resting protectively on our son’s shoulder. Her lunar-white eyes met mine across the ritual circ

Silas POV“Stand with me, Elara not as enemies forced by old grudges, but as partners who choose this fight together. For our son. For the packs we both bled to protect!”My voice thundered across the war-torn ridge where our united forces had gathered, raw with the fire of the new bond humming between us. The respect-forged connection felt like living moonlight in my veins not the golden chains of fate, but something chosen, earned through blood and sacrifice. Elara stood beside me, her lunar-white eyes meeting mine with a storm of emotions that made my wolf surge with fierce pride. For the first time since my return, we fought not as fractured mates, but as equals. The battlefield stretched before us like a canvas of nightmares. Vexar’s main army, a twisted horde of shadow-tainted wolves driven mad by the same poison that had nearly claimed me, clashed against our combined Crescent and Moonstone lines. Howls split the air as claws met steel and fangs tore through flesh. The scent of

The hybrid prince acknowledges the Alpha King. The second the title passed his lips, the new bond between Elara and me flared into a blinding, golden brilliance, completely stabilizing my core. My wolf let out a magnificent, victorious howl within my mind, the sound reverberating through every fiber of my being.I reached down, my massive, calloused hand trembling as I wrapped it gently around his tiny shoulder, pulling him against my side. For the first time in six years, the puzzle was complete. My mate was alive. My son was in my arms. The new bond forged not in fate but in sacrifice, truth, and respect pulsed warmly between the three of us, golden threads weaving father, mother, and child into something unbreakable.Tears burned my eyes as Leo pressed closer, his small body trembling. “You took the bad blade
