Chapter 11- Talk To Me

Memories of when I was baby haunted me.

From the day I was born to my first few steps, my father would speak to me in the language of our people. He would say something and even as a baby, I understood him. I could follow orders at that small age, to stop crying or to go to sleep.

My father never needed to sing a lullaby to get me to sleep. All he said was 'dormi' and I would go out like the dark sky.

My mother on the other hand, did not have it so easy. She was the one to speak to me in English. The one that had to sing me to sleep and deal with my neverending screams.
