Chapter 63 - Home is where the heart is.

Melody had this incredible urge to see the dead people and she couldn’t explain it to anybody. As soon as Matthew left to speak to Gabriella, she ported to the enormous hall where everyone was being kept until the funeral. It was an incredibly sad sight. So many people had been lost and as she walked through the rows her hands drifted above the bodies.

Suddenly, she felt a spark in her left palm and she stopped to look. The person under the sheet wasn’t moving at all, but … She closed her eyes for a moment to focus on just that one body. It took a moment, but then she felt the spark again! Ripping the sheet away, she listened and she could hear a very faint heartbeat! Whoever this was, they weren’t dead yet!

Melody called out for help and three guards rushed over. She told them that the wolf wasn’t dead and to call for one of the angels. Her eyes scanned all the other bodies while the angels took away the one that was still alive and Melody wondered how many more could still be
