Mag-log inAiden's POV"He said he's not in support of your decision to break up with Maya. He said he never gave you the rights to," Amaya informed me. "I heard him clearly when he was discussing it with the organizers of tomorrow's ceremony.""Maya and I crossed paths in college today, and I think I have to take her back," I accepted defeat. "Jace has Nina now. And it's really shitty to have believed in you and Murphy, yet gotten disappointed.""We are not to be blamed for this," Amaya replied. "I tried to sugarcoat my words, I tried convincing Nina to come outside for a quick talk, and I even walked away with my ass wiggling in his direction, but none of it worked out. He must have been informed of my intentions in the party room.""Murphy couldn't get anything done either, despite all his claims of intelligence." I let out a sigh of disappointment, sitting on my desk while speaking to Amaya, who was on the bed."Maya will be a good choice anyway," she continued. "Both of you are actually mea
Nina's POVMany hours before the party in the premises of Velmora began, I knew something bad would happen. I tried to convince Jace to avoid partying, but I could not. He convinced me instead, and now, we'd fallen in the hands of Aiden. Until Jace was pulled out of the party room, I never understood the weight of the agreement that I made with Aiden. Even if Alpha Damon tried to forgive Jace for partying and getting drunk a day to the official competition sessions, the wolves who saw him would not be willing to forgive him, especially those on the side of Aiden. The only way to maintain his innocence was to say yes to Aiden. The goddess must have read my mind. Just when I felt deeply scared to go back to Aiden's apartment, a move I had sworn to never take anymore, we ran into someone who was very capable of distracting us. "You should raise your head next time. You could have broken my ribs," Aiden complained, gently pulling me out of the room as Maya and her two little minions w
Aiden's POV"There is a large gathering in the premises of Velmora college. As soon as you step inside, you can follow the sound of the party. Jace is right there. Nina is, of course. I can't find her brother in there, neither can I find Derek too, but you can hang around, should we need you to show up at any moment." Murphy sent me a lengthy message and I quickly got into the restroom to have a shower. I wore another new set of outfits, ready to get this done today. Tomorrow, the official competition between the two strong rivals, Jace and I, would begin, and I would be automatically disqualified to participate if I didn't show up with my own preferred Luna. "Is the plan working out?" I sent a response, after half an hour. I was already in Velmora college, right inside the VIP hall. I wore a mask to ensure no one noticed my presence. I didn't want Jace or Nina to learn about my presence in the same place they were. "I don't think so." Murphy responded. "But we can cling onto hope.
Aiden's POV"I kid you not. I don't have anyone else to consider. Nina is the only girl in my mind, and I will compete with the three men you mentioned, and I will win." I reaffirmed. I truly needed that. I was close to giving up because of his so-called brilliant pieces of advice. "Before I was appointed as your private guard and driver, I was a research analyst. According to the research I made, some days ago, I think you're right about the qualities that Derek possesses. He loves clubbing, and outings, and he will bow to Nina to get into her pants. We have something to work on already but there's a problem." Murphy said. We'd gotten down from the car, and walked into my elegant room. Jace's room wasn't as great as mine, he wouldn't argue with me on that, I promise. "Can you find him and make an attempt to take him down? Not through violence or coercion, know how the stuff works, right?" I winked, and he gave a simple nod. He changed his clothes and left my room. I rubbed my palm
Aiden's POV"We can try again tomorrow. She's probably still mad at you." Murphy, my newest private guard, advised as I stepped out of the training ring. I'd spotted Jace in the ring, and Derek coming from a distance. The day would have been longer if I'd stayed back there. "Mad at me? She smiled, agreed to catch up with me, and now she's suddenly cold?" Leaning on my door, I replied to him. Actually, chatting with someone in a lower rank shouldn't happen, but this was a desperate moment. "You said you saw Jace hiding somewhere in the ring, perhaps at the back of the long pole where the punching bags are tied. Jace must have snuck into that place to see if Nina will cheat on him with you. Nina is smart. She's a white wolf now and her senses are on high alert. She must have heard his footsteps thudding on the ground and denied you access. Try again when there is no trace of Jace or any other male people she relates with." Murphy gave a long piece of advice, earning a smile from me.
Aiden's POVDamn, I didn't expect my father to make an announcement about the competition so soon. Although he'd told me months ago to make sure I wasn't alone, it was sudden to receive the news of the announcement that shook the ground of Velmora. The competition would begin officially the day after tomorrow. The winner would win Velmora. The wolves would be around to watch us to make the election process clean, free and fair. Hearing the news, after being embarrassed by Nina some days ago, crushed my heart and braced up my mind for whatever hurdles still stood in my way. This was now deeply urgent, and my ego might have to sit somewhere till the throne would become officially mine. "Hi Nina, can we talk? I promise it'll be in the open, somewhere safe and secure, and we will get you whatever you want, no matter the price." I clicked the send option and the text message got delivered immediately. I shut my eyes, placing the phone on the table as I silently prayed I'd get a good res
