"Just the two of us?" Blake asked to his father.

I almost frowned at what Manong said. I was so shocked by what he said. He said that Blake and I are going to the meeting of the Alphas in the north.

Blake stood up and faced the father. While Arnal and I were both just staring at the two of them, waiting to see what would happen.

"Can't Arnal just go there? Maybe later I'll die there, gosh!" he shouted. "After all, he's a beta, he's the only one that capable, that's okay, isn't it?"

"Only the alpha is needed, son," Manong answered immediately. "Some new Alphas like you are coming too. You'd better get to know them too."

Arnal stood next to me. I almost stood up in shock but that was replaced by surprise when I saw that he was surprised by what Manong said. He looked at Manong in surprise. His face is something that you thought the person you were talking to said something strange.
