Chapter 9

Aurora’s POV

As I continued to scream, Luna's smirking face was the last thing I saw before everything faded to black.

I woke up to darkness and a pounding headache. As I blinked away the grogginess clouding my vision, I realised where I was and what had happened. My stomach growled loudly and I realized that I hadn't eaten.

Sweat covered every inch of my body and made my clothes stick to my skin in the most uncomfortable way.

I looked at my wrists and legs, they didn't seem tied at all.

In fact, there was no crowd, no fire, no woods. It was only a dream .

I chuckled bitterly to myself, looking at my surroundings once more to confirm whether I was actually awake or not.

Everything seemed to be in the same place as before; the same dead, gray clouds that always hang over me, the same cold atmosphere. The only difference was that I felt scared. Very scared and unsure.
