Summer's Point of View
I was severely traumatized by what transpired that night. I arrived at school early because I couldn't sleep since every time I closed my eyes, I saw that awful beast.
The announcement wall was crowded with students. Oh, yes, prom night was quickly approaching.
"Hey," Sam said as I was studying the prom poster details.
"Hey," I said.
"So who are you going to bring?"
"I'm not sure,"
"They're allowing outsiders,"
"It would be so crowded,"
I had the honor of being crowned prom queen the year before. I was quite well-known at school, and a lot of guys tried to approach me, but they were all turned down.
"Hi, Summer. I was just wondering whether you could be my prom date--,"
"No, not interested," I cut Jameson off right away because I sensed it coming.
"Woah, that's actually not cool, you just said earlier you're not sure, who your going to bring,"
"Yeah, Not Jameson though, Sam,"
"He's kind of cute,"
"Hahaha funny, all of the dudes for you is cute,"
"Because they all are, you know, they have different kinds of beauty,"
"I get it, but please raise your standard just a little bit,"
"You're too hard, Summer!"
"I'm sorry, just stating facts,"
"I don't care, I need to go now, see you later, bitch,"
"See yah!"
When we arrived in the locker room, Sam abandoned me. When I closed my locker after putting all of my books in it, I was surprised to see Jameson standing behind it.
"What the hell, Jameson!" "You frightened me."
"Are you sure you don't want me to be your prom date?"
"I'm sure, now if you could please leave me alone," I sarcastically replied as I walked away.
When I walked into my classroom, I noticed a bouquet of flowers on my desk. I received letters from people asking whether I might be their prom date.
"Ugh… This is quite irritating."
I left the classroom and did not return to class because I had a headache. I was only at the school park when time went. I don't have the stamina to wander around, nor do I want to go home.
"Lonely?"
"Wilder?"
"Uh-uh"
"What are you doing here in school grounds?"
"Nothing, just chillin' then I saw you,"
"I just don't want to go to class, everyone was so annoying."
"What did they do?"
"I'm assuming you heard about the prom night already,"
"Yeah,"
"Dudes were inviting me to be their prom date,"
"That's great, right?"
"NO! It is not," "They're not my type,"
"I see what's the problem here,"
I had a brilliant idea: I could ask Wilder to be my prom date! That's all.
"How about this?" You're welcome to be my prom date!"
"What? Me?"
"Yes, you are better than those other guys,"
"I mean, sure, why not,"
"Okay, problem solved,"
I got up because I was happy. Wilder gladly accepted my offer because he was a fantastic match for me. I noticed these girls staring at us as we walked out of the school.
"C'mon ladies, I know I'm handsome," Wilder said as they laughed.
"You're so silly,"
I encircled him with my arms. He was truly unbelievable.
"Thank you," I murmured as we approached my house.
"You're welcome, princess; see you next time," he said as he walked away.
It was late afternoon when ennui struck. I need to do something productive because I missed class today.
'I'd want to go shopping.'
I changed my clothes and got ready to head to the shopping. I wanted to look at several gowns, hoping to find something I could wear to the prom. I'd also look at coats for Wilder, because he appears so elegant and affluent, so I'm sure he'd wear something extravagant.
"Where are you going?" Dad inquired,
"To the mall, I need to buy a dress for prom,"
"Let's go together, your mom and I would go too,"
"What? No! Dad, it's for teenagers."
"I know but we want to see your school too,"
"Whatever, I'm gonna go to the mall alone, buy your clothes some other time,"
I fled before Dad could say anything else. If there are any mean girls from my school at the mall, I don't want them to see me shopping with my parents. It would be humiliating.
I went to every boutique I could find, and they all had lovely clothing and dresses that I could wear to the prom.
In this one store, I was trying on a crimson ball gown. The gown screamed queen of the night, but I wasn't sure if I should get it.
"It looks good on you,"
"Oh, thank you,"
A lovely lady with pale skin and golden hair approached me. To be honest, she looks like a goddess.
"You're really pretty," I murmured, awestruck by her beauty.
"Thanks, I was also looking for a dress,"
"Oh really, this one would be perfect for you," I offered her a black slit dress that would ideally show off her body figure.
"You think so?"
"Yes, of course, you will stand out,"
"That's so nice of you,"
"What party are you going too?"
"Oh, it's actually a prom night,"
"Really? "Wow, what a coincidence,"
"Coincidence?"
"Yeah, I am also looking for a prom dress,"
"Maybe we are just going to one prom aren't we?"
"Let's say it together, 1,2,3,"
"Texas State University Prom Night," we were both surprised to hear. I hadn't seen her previously at school; was she an outsider?
"Wow, that's insane haha," she exclaimed as she laughed.
"Are you a student at TSU?"
"No, I was just invited,"
"Oh, I see,"
"So, I am going to get this one because I need to go now, It was nice meeting you," I was unable to continue our conversation with the stunning woman because I was taking too long at the shopping center. I really wanted to talk to her more.
"Uhm.. May I ask what your name is? "Just in case I run into you at the party," I inquired respectfully, hoping she'd tell me her name.
"My name is Brigid," she said, extending her hand.
"Brigid, what a beautiful name, just like you,"
Blaze's Point of View"Here, I bought it for you," Summer stated, handing me a paper bag.Summer invited me to dinner, so we're at a restaurant. I promised her I'd be the one to book it, and I chose the restaurant we co-owned with Agni."What is this?" "It's a coat, you could wear that to the party,""Summer, you don't have to buy me stuff, I should be the one buying you things,""It's fine, I wanted to buy that for you, I think it would look good.""Thank you,"It was practically evening when we finished dining and went out. I made the decision to bring Summer home."So, see you tomorrow?""Okay, I'll pick you up, okay?" "Please wait for me,""I will, drive safe," Before driving away, I smiled at her. I don't like the fact that the pack was plotting an attack on the hunters on the night of the school's prom. But if I wasn't an Alpha, I wouldn't be able to stop them. When I arrived at the mansion, our pack members were already preparing for the next day. There are guns and swords ev
Blaze's Point of View I removed the black rose from Summer's chest. People began shouting and fleeing as they heard gunshots in the middle of the a party. "What's happening?" Summer questioned me, but I chose to disregard her inquiries and seize her in order to search for a room in which we could hide. I discovered an empty classroom far away from the party; I hope no one finds her here. I was thinking about leaving her here and helping the pack. "Stay here, don't go there no matter what, okay?" I told her that we could still hear screams outside. "What? "Are you going to leave me here?" Summer yelled. I have a responsibility to help the pack, which comprises of many more hunters than we do. I needed to make certain that everyone was safe. "It's dangerous out there, I'll check how I could get you out of here," "Promise me, you'll be back," "I promise," I kissed her forehead before leaving the room, "I will make sure no one sees us." One hunter tried to shoot me as I wal
Summer's Point of ViewThe school was so calm the day after the chaos that no students were on the field. That night may have left them all terrified. While we were making our way to our rooms, Sam remarked that the atmosphere had changed. "There's a different vibe right now," she said. Regardless of what transpired, school resumed. The teachers didn't appear to care about what happened, and the gymnasium was closed because there were still a lot of obvious damages. One of the students was overheard saying, "They said there are werewolves last night," while I was in the locker room.I'm curious where Wilder was; he left me in an empty room to return to the gymnasium. Was he also seeing werewolves? "Summer, the professors wants us at the auditorium!" Sam yelled. When we got at the auditorium, there were already a large number of pupils present."We're announcing to close the classes for a week, because of what happened last night, I want you all to take a rest and freshen your minds.
Blaze's Point of ViewSummer asked me to Sam's house party; if I want to protect her, I must accompany her. I noticed Keahi seated next Summer as she went to get her beer. I dashed over to where they were and stopped Keahi in his tracks. This jerk Keahi bought her a drink, I deduced. Was he attempting to meet Summer? What on earth was he thinking?"Let's go back to our table, Summer," I gave Keahi one last look before exiting the counter. "Why are you so upset, Wilder?" Summer questioned."Nothing, I was just trying to protect you,""Guard me? Uhmm.. I just wanted to bring to your attention that this is, in fact, a party. So it's logical that we'd meet new people.""I know, but that guy, he seems like a not nice person,""How did you know?" "Do you know who he is?"Yes, Summer, I know Keahi better than you, but it wasn't what I would say. I don't want her to be affiliated with any of them, Brigid or Keahi."Do you want to go out?" "It's getting late," I say. I didn't answer Summer
Summer's Point of ViewI couldn't sleep because Blaze had revealed that he was the one who had previously saved me. To be honest, I wasn't surprised. I was relieved that it was him. I was relieved to discover that they were the same person. He had already left after that. I don't know what to do right now because my parents aren't home; they're on a trip; they left after the prom and said they'd be gone for a while. I have no idea where they are; they are always like that; they haven't brought me on any of their vacations since dad stated it was for work. I'm alone for the rest of the night.*The following day*I awoke with an atypical routine; we still don't have class today, so I texted Sam and asked if she wanted to hang out at Tom's Bar, but she declined, citing a hangover from the night before. Whatever, I just go there by myself.I waited until it was late at night to go to the pub. I'm not sure why I wanted to go there while being traumatized by the fight that occurred when we
Summer's Point of ViewWhen I woke up, I realized we were getting close to our destination. I could see the river walk immediately, all the lights were switched on, and there were only a few people here. After witnessing this place in person, I felt as if I were dreaming. After parking the car, I made a hasty dash for the fountain, and Blaze did nothing more than follow me as I ran around like a child. This location was at the top of my bucket list, and I was overjoyed to be strolling here right now. Because I was smiling so openly, I felt like my mouth was about to be ripped off."You seem to be very happy," Blaze said as he approached my side. "I am, this was one of my dreams," "I'm glad you like it here,"All I saw were lights of various hues that shone brightly. Because I was taking so many photos, my phone was dying. We were both hungry, so we went to dine near the river walk. There was only one restaurant open by midnight, and there were only a few people inside. We handed t
Summer's Point of View"You only book one room?" As I entered the hotel room, I murmured."Yeah, why?""And one bed?" "Yeah, are there any problems with it?""Yes, big problem, Blaze we're not in a relationship or something so why would you like me to share the bed with you?""Does that make sense?" Okay, if you're not comfortable, I'll sleep on the couch," he answered flatly.I was aware of my limitations; yes, he was attractive, but I do not intend to take advantage of him in any way, nor do I want him to take advantage of me in any manner; yet, I was astonished that he booked only one room and bed and considered that to be acceptable. But I also don't want him to sleep on the couch."It's fine, we're not staying here for too long anyway, we can share the bed.""Cool, I'm going to sleep now, alright,"Blaze didn't even change his clothing before going directly to bed and falling asleep. I took a shower before getting ready for bed. He completely blew me away. I was hoping there are
Blaze's Point of View"I'm so dead," Summer exclaimed. We had just returned from our getaway when we noticed her parents waiting outside their home. She hurriedly opened the door and went to them, and I discovered she had not texted them to let them know where she was going."Oh no, this is bad," I thought.I followed her; I believe I should be the one to explain to her parents; after all, it was my idea. When they saw their daughter, her mother's look softened, and his father breathed a sigh of relief. "Mom, I'm sorry, I didn't know you were going home today,""Oh my God, Summer, you still need to tell us when you're going somewhere so we don't need to worry like this," his father said. They are correct; parents should always be aware of their child's whereabouts. As I approached them, his father stared at me.I was going to say a thing when his father came up to me and grabbed me by the collar, his eyes filled with rage."What did you do to my daughter?" He murmured this while clin
