Ch. 44 - All's Well That Ends Well

I was looking at Noah and Zara when Zayde hinted that Zara was Noah's personal nurse. They blushed. I couldn't help but smile. I was sure that Noah also had feelings for Zara. Maybe, just maybe, Zara would be okay and have nothing to worry about. I was confident that the others in the room had noticed as well.

"Hey," said Kristof, dropping his arms from around me and taking my hand. "Let's go have that talk."

I nodded. We did need to talk about what had happened. I had two emotions to deal with. I was annoyed that Kristof had put Callie's life in danger, and I was upset because their lives were on the line because of me.

"Noah, Michel," he said to them, "we'll have a meeting tomorrow to figure out where to go from here."

I let Kristof lead me upstairs to our bedroom. I had to remind myself that we needed to talk. I really wanted him to lead me upstairs and have sex with me, but I had to keep my focus.
