"Life is really cruel, don't you think?" I muttered, almost a whisper to the passing air.
It hasn't been that long since I started to connect the dots concerning Venus's intentions in Crescent Moon. When Derek said he knew that the assassin who came to his bedroom was his mate, questions began to fill my mind.
Like, for instance...Why didn't Derek know his mate was in front of him all along? It was already strange that Venus knew beforehand yet still tried to kill him. I'm starting to wonder, did Venus really try to hurt Derek? My forehead knitted as I tried to think of other reasons.
