Melody’s POV

I walked into the family lounge and greeted Carla, “Hey, how’s our little nursery doing today?” I walked over and took Nicholas from her side as she was holding both pups and reading a book to a now sleeping Lucas.

She smiled, “good,” she whispered as she lay him down and removed herself from the couch, she kissed his forehead and placed pillows around him so he wouldn’t roll of onto the floor. We sat down at the small table near the window as I nursed Nicholas.

“I helped with the investigation today with your attorney, Levi.”

I looked at her as I adjusted Nicholas’ position, “really, how so?”

She pulled out her phone and showed me pictures that she had sent to him, “these are the original pictures of some of the photoshopped ones that they have as evidence against you,” she smiled smugly, “see and you laugh when I keep them after making prints.”

I nodded, “thank you, it will help, but really if those police officers can’t tell a photoshopped photo from a real one,” I sh
