"What happened here?" Rosemary demands, but I don't know what to say. I'm still not sure how I made a mistake with the clothes. I could swear I put bleach in there and nothing else!

"I don't know...I don't know how it happened. I put all white clothes there but..."

"She is a liar," Amelia sneers before I have the chance to finish my sentence. "She did this out of spite."

Out of spite? What is she talking about?

"That's not true!" I protest. "Why would I do something like this on purpose? I like it here!"

Rosemary crosses her arms and gives me a stern look. "Then explain to me how this happened. And don't lie to me."

I take a deep breath, trying to calm down my racing heart. "I'm not lying. I put all white clothes in the washer and added bleach. I don't know how they all turned pink."

Amelia scoffs. "That's ridiculous. You're just trying to cover up your mistake."

I feel a surge of anger inside me, but I try to keep my voice steady. "I'm not lying. Maybe someone else put tainted the clothes in there without me noticing."

Rosemary looks at me for a long moment, her expression unreadable. Then she nods. "Alright. We'll investigate this further. But in the meantime, please be more careful with your chores."

There's a long moment of silence, broken only by the sound of the washing machine still churning away in the background. I can feel their eyes on me, judging me.

"Dear goddess...how am I going to explain to Alpha Xavier? He will have to buy a whole new set of white shirts," Rosemary says, clucking her tongue.

I have the strong urge to comment that he might look even more handsome in a pink shirt, but I stop myself. I can't afford to get fired over my smart mouth!

My mind starts racing. How could all the white clothes turn pink? I was certain I had done everything right. But then again, I've been feeling more and more forgetful lately. Maybe I'm not cut out for this job after all.

As I turn to leave, Molina steps in front of me, blocking my path. "Don't think you're off the hook just yet," she hisses. "We'll be watching you closely from now on."

I grit my teeth and force myself to meet her gaze. "I have nothing to hide."

Rosemary clears her throat. "That's enough, Molina. Let her go." She looks at me. "Go assist the Chef with lunch, Sylvia."

Molina steps aside, but not before giving me one last angry look. I hurry out of the laundry room, my mind racing. What had just happened? Why were they so quick to accuse me of something I hadn't done?

I quickly walk to the kitchen, I can't shake off the feeling of unease that settles in my stomach. Something isn't right here, and I don't know what it is. Maybe it's just my imagination, but I can't shake off the feeling that I'm being watched, that every move I make is being scrutinized.

"Hey, wait a minute."

I halt as I hear a soft voice behind me. I turn around and look at the girl. "Hi, Daisy," I say and smile with recognition.

Daisy is one of the youngest maids in the packhouse. She is usually very quiet and doesn't have a lot of friends.

She is a loner like me, I think to myself.

"Can I help you with something, Daisy?" I ask again since she is not saying anything else.

"I think I know what happened to the white clothes," she says with a frown.

I look at her with surprise. "You do?"

She looks at me with her big eyes and then nods. "Earlier today, I saw Amelia coming out of the laundry room. And when she went back, she was holding a bottle of red dye in her hand."

I look at her with wide eyes. "Do you think she tampered with the white clothes?"

"Yes, I think so," she whispers.

My heart sinks as I realize what might have happened. "Why would she do that?" I ask, my voice barely above a whisper. I feel betrayed, not only by Amelia but also by Molina, for accusing me so quickly.

"I don't know why," Daisy answers, shaking her head sadly. "But you can't trust anyone here."

"Why didn't you say something to Rosemary?" I ask.

"Be...because I was scared. Molina and Amelia are best friends and they scare me," Daisy says, her eyes dark.

My heart ached for Daisy, she was so young and powerless. I couldn't ask her to risk herself for a complete stranger like me. I wanted to speak up and tell her that I would do anything to keep her safe, but instead, all I could offer were the soft words of understanding, "I understand."

Daisy's gaze drops to her toes, hanging her head in remorse. "I'm sorry. I should have been more brave and stood up for you. I want to be stronger," she murmured, her voice shaking with emotion.

I place a gentle hand on her shoulder. "You don't have to apologize, Daisy. You're very brave for telling me what you know. And in my book, that's more than enough."

She looks up at me, her eyes shining with gratitude. "Thank you, Sylvia. You're nice to me, even though no one else is."

I feel a pang of sadness in my chest. How many other maids in this packhouse feel the same way as Daisy? How many of them feel scared and alone, with no one to turn to?

I smile at her. "No problem. I have to go help the Chef with lunch. Maybe we can talk again sometime?" I say.

Daisy's eyes light up. "I would like that!"

I turn to walk towards the kitchen, my mind racing with thoughts of how to handle the situation with Amelia. I can't let her get away with this, but right now, I shouldn't do anything that might put my identity at risk.

I will figure out how to get back to her later.

  • The Alpha's Personal Maid   Epilogue

****Author note: This epilogue is written in the third person point of view so every character can be involved.**** Six year later... It is time. Alpha Xavier decides it is time to end his leadership and hand over the title to his older son, Adrian. The weight of leadership had rested heavily on his shoulders for many years, and now, he felt the time had come to pass the mantle to the next generation. "Are you sure he is ready for this?" Sylvia asks. He looks at his Luna and smiles fondly. She had been by his side through thick and thin and he trusted her advice. "Of course, my love. Our son is more than capable of leading this pack," Alpha Xavier reassures her. Sylvia sighs. "I trust your decision. And yes, you are right. Adrian is capable. And Anna is excellent as his Luna," she says with a smile on her face. "We raised our children well, don't you think?" Alpha Xavier smiles. "Yes, we did." With a heavy heart, Alpha Xavier calls for a meeting with all the pack members. The

The new information I acquired from the Faeland both amazed and shocked my parents. My mother looks at me thoughtfully. "It does make sense as to why I posses the special blood to heal wounds," she says.I nod, my mind still trying to process everything. "It seems like Fae blood runs in our family, Mom. But why didn't you ever tell me about it?"My father chimes in. "Your mother and I had no idea."My mother reaches out and places a hand on my cheek. "We love you, Adrian. I wouldn't hide something like this on purpose.""I understand, Mom, Dad. But now that I know, I want to learn more about this Fae power within me. I want to use it for good, just like I did in Faerieland today."My parents exchange glances, and my father finally nods. "You're right, Adrian. There has to be a way to harness your hidden powers.""By the way, how was your date? Do you love Anna yet?" my sister chimes in.I chuckle at my sister's question, which comes out of nowhere in the midst of this serious conversa

Anna looks at me, her eyes filled with determination. "We have to help them, Adrian. We can't let these evil creatures harm these Faeries."I nod in agreement, and we quietly devise a plan. We'll use our werewolf abilities to our advantage. I'll create a diversion to draw the attention of the Dark Fae away from the vulnerable group, while Anna will lead the women and children to safety.I take a deep breath and prepare to shift into my wolf form. As I do, my body undergoes a transformation, and I feel the surge of power coursing through me.I give Anna a reassuring nod, and she silently guides the terrified group away from the danger zone. Then, with a swift and silent motion, I burst out from behind the pillar, my wolf form charging at the Dark Fae.The element of surprise is on my side, and the Dark Fae warriors are momentarily taken aback. I use my agility and strength to disarm and incapacitate them, ensuring they can't harm anyone.I identify the leader and charge at him but his

"Intruder!" the Fae girl yells. She sounds like a pissed off mobster, which is really weird. But I don't have time to think about the strangeness of it all, because at that moment, dozens of Faeries fly towards us like missiles.Instinctively, I guide Anna behind me."We mean no harm," I cry out."A petite, blonde-haired Faerie flies at us with alarming speed. I manage to grab hold of her, but she looks at me furiously and whips her long, pointed ears towards my neck. She digs her sharp fingernails into my shoulders as she tries to tear out my throat."Ouch!"My cry of pain blends with Anna's shocked cry.Out of nowhere, the ground begins to crumble beneath us. We tumble over the steep embankment and fall down, down, down into a pit of black, inky darkness. As we land with a thud at the bottom, I realize that my shoulder is bleeding profusely from the Faerie's attack. I look around in panic. Is Anna hurt? But thankfully, she was right next to me and appeared to be fine.Anna looks aro

It has been a week since Anna and I got married, and our relationship has been confusing to say the least. I still can't figure out my feelings for her. I know seeing her with another man made me burn with jealousy, but so what? That doesn't mean I love her or anything!"You are an idiot," Elara comments.I groan. "This is why I don't like telling you anything. How am I an idiot?" I ask and glare at her.Elara rolls her eyes and takes a sip of her drink. "You're an idiot because you're in denial. You don't get that jealous over someone unless you care about them more than you're willing to admit."I lean back in my chair, crossing my arms. "I don't know what you're talking about. It's just a stupid, irrational feeling.""Is that what you really believe, Adrian?" Elara challenges me.Ugh...I don't know!Over the next few days, I couldn't shake off the conversation with Elara. She had a way of cutting through my stubbornness and making me confront my emotions head-on. Every time I see

"See? That's what I'm saying!" Richie exclaims. "You don't need someone like him. He doesn't deserve you and doesn't appreciate you. He will keep hurting you, Anna."Oh, this asshole is trying to get hurt now, I say to myself.Anna wipes her tears away. "Yes, you are right. Adrian doesn't deserve me at all.""Then let's be together," Richie says and pulls her closer to him. To my utter disgust, he pressed his lips to hers and kissed her.So that's it? Is she just going to let him have her because I pushed her away? We are married, damn it!'Rip that asshole a new one,' my wolf growls inside, and I can't agree more. I let out a thunderous growl and jumped in front of them.Richie jumps back, shocked. Anna's eyes widen in fear, and I can smell the shock radiating off her. But my gaze is fixed on Richie. My wolf bares his teeth, ready to attack."You stay away from her," I snarl, my voice low and dangerous.Richie stumbles back, trying to put some distance between us. "Man, chill. I was
