Chapter 33

Skye's POV

"Run! Run and don't look back."

I heard rugged voices as I walked deeper and deeper into the foggy forest. I didn't know how I ended up here. I was just talking to Alec and all of a sudden I was here.

"No! Let's keep moving, we can make it out of here." I heard a woman voice. She sounded like she was crying and in despair.

"If you don't go first, then we'll all die." That voice felt familiar, but because of the ringing sounds, I couldn't tell which voice it was.

"Just trust me, baby. You go first, and I promise I'll follow you. I'll be right behind you when you get out of here."

"Go, now!" A shout broke as I loomed closer to where the sound was coming from.

A few seconds after, I heard a dark laughter and branches of trees snapping in half.
