Alex’s POV

“This changes nothing,” I growled against his mouth. “One night. Nothing more.”

Marcus answered with a low sound that was almost a laugh. He kissed me hard, claiming my mouth like he already owned it. I kissed him back with everything I had left, anger and desperation mixing into something fierce. His hands moved over me with purpose, steady and sure, while my own trembled as they clutched at his shoulders.

He stood and pulled me up with him. In one smooth motion he stripped my shirt away. I did not fight it. When his palms ran down my sides and over the new softer lines of my body, I shivered but kept my jaw locked. He removed the rest of my clothes piece by piece. I stood bare before him, exposed and burning, yet I refused to look away from his eyes.

Marcus undressed as well. His body was powerful, every muscle carved from years of control and dominance. The sight of him sent another rush of slick down my thighs. Shame flared hot in my chest, but the heat drowned it quickly.

He guided me back onto the bed. I lay there, heart hammering, as he settled between my legs. His mouth found my neck, then the sensitive spot below my ear where my new scent was strongest. He inhaled deeply and groaned. The sound vibrated through me.

“You smell incredible,” he said, voice rough.

I wanted to snap something sharp, but his fingers slid between my legs and all words died. He pushed one inside me, then two, stretching me open with careful patience. I bit my lip hard as my hips moved against his hand despite myself. Pleasure sparked up my spine with every stroke.

“Still fighting me?” Marcus asked, adding a third finger.

I glared at him even as my breath hitched. “Always.”

He curled his fingers and hit that spot inside me that made my vision spark. A moan tore from my throat before I could stop it. Marcus watched my face the entire time, eyes dark and intense. He worked me until I was shaking, pride cracking with every wave of sensation.

When he finally withdrew his fingers and positioned himself at my entrance, I was desperate. The emptiness hurt. My body needed him more than air.

Marcus looked down at me. “Say it.”

I swallowed the last of my resistance. “Put it in. Now.”

He thrust in deep and smooth. The stretch burned, but it also filled me completely. I gasped, back arching off the bed. He gave me a moment, then began to move. His pace was steady at first, powerful strokes that reached every part of me. I wrapped my legs around him and met each thrust, chasing the relief only he could give.

Pleasure built fast and overwhelming. Marcus shifted his angle and hit that perfect spot again. I cried out, nails digging into his back. He wrapped a hand around my length and stroked me in time with his thrusts. The dual sensation pushed me over the edge and I came hard, body clenching around him as waves of intense pleasure crashed through me.

“Marcus..” I moaned as I came apart in his hands.

Marcus followed right after, burying himself deep as he spilled inside me. The feeling triggered another smaller peak that left me trembling.

The heat was far from finished. Marcus gave me almost no time to recover. He pulled out, flipped me onto my stomach, and entered me again from behind. This angle felt even deeper. He covered my back with his chest, one strong arm wrapped around me, mouth pressed to my neck. I pushed back against him, meeting every thrust with raw need.

We continued like that for hours. He took me in every position. Sometimes slow and deep, drawing out the pleasure until I shook with it. Sometimes fast and rough, both of us lost in the frenzy. He knotted me twice. The thick swell locked us together, prolonging the ecstasy until I thought I would break apart from it. In those moments, pressed tight against him and unable to move, I felt truly claimed.

Near dawn the heat finally began to fade. We lay tangled on the ruined sheets, bodies slick with sweat. Marcus kept one arm heavy around my waist, holding me close even as sleep pulled at him.

I stared at the ceiling, mind slowly clearing. The shame rushed back in now that the fever had broken. I had begged him. I had moaned his name. The proud Alpha heir had surrendered completely to another man. My body felt satisfied in a way it had never known, but my pride lay shattered on the floor beside our clothes.

I tried to ease out of his hold. Marcus’s arm tightened at once.

“Stay,” he murmured, voice deep with sleep.

I stayed. For now.

—

Morning light crept through the heavy curtains and I woke to find Marcus already awake, watching me. He looked as commanding as ever, even with his hair slightly tousled. Something in his gaze had changed. It was deeper than simple satisfaction. There was possession there, and a quiet intensity that made me uneasy.

Dr. Sophia arrived a short while later. Marcus stepped out to give us privacy while she ran her tests. She drew blood, checked my vitals, and performed a few scans. Her touch was gentle and professional.

“You did well getting through the heat,” she said softly. “Your body is stabilizing faster than expected. I will have full results sent over soon.”

When she left, I pulled on the clean robe that had been left for me. Marcus returned and stood by the window, looking out over the estate grounds.

“You will stay here for now,” he said without turning around. “Until we know you are safe and the heat has fully passed.”

I crossed my arms. “This was one night, Marcus. I have a company to fight for. A life to reclaim.”

He turned to face me. His expression was calm but unyielding. “One night that connected us in ways you do not yet understand. You are not leaving while you remain vulnerable. Not with Nathan circling and Graves watching.”

I wanted to argue, but the memory of his body against mine was still fresh. The way he had taken me apart. The way my own body had welcomed every second of it. I turned away, jaw tight.

Marcus stepped closer and tilted my chin up so I had to meet his eyes. “You are mine to protect now, Alex. Whether you like it or not.”

His words sent a strange mix of heat and warning through me. I pulled away, but the scent of him still clung to my skin. This night had been far more dangerous than I realized. It was the beginning of something I might not be able to escape.

The hours we spent together replayed in my mind as I sat on the edge of the bed. Every touch, every thrust, every moment where my pride had cracked further. I remembered the way his knot had locked us together, the overwhelming fullness, the way my body had milked him for everything he had. The pleasure had been unlike anything I had ever experienced as an Alpha. It left me feeling raw and exposed in ways that went beyond the physical.

Marcus watched me silently from across the room. He seemed to sense the storm inside my head but instead of pushing, he gave me space, though his presence remained dominant. The air between us still carried the heavy evidence of what we had done. His scent mixed with mine in a way that felt permanent.

I stood up and walked to the window, needing distance. The estate grounds stretched out below, perfectly maintained and clearly designed to project power. This was Marcus Blackthorn’s world. A world where he controlled everything around him. Now I was inside it, marked by him, and my own world felt further away than ever.

Dr. Sophia had mentioned the test results would come soon. Part of me wondered what else might have changed inside my body after a night like that. The heat had been brutal, and the connection with Marcus had been intense beyond measure but I pushed the thoughts aside for now. I could not afford to dwell on them.

Marcus finally spoke again. “You should eat something. Your body needs strength after last night.”

I nodded without looking at him. Food sounded necessary even if my stomach felt twisted with conflicting emotions. Servants brought a quiet breakfast to the suite shortly after. We ate in silence at first, the tension thick but not entirely hostile. There was something new between us now, an invisible thread that the night had created.

I still had my pride. I clung to it tightly even as my body remembered every detail of his touch. This one night might have been necessary for survival, but I refused to let it define me. I would reclaim my place in the Sterling Empire. I would deal with Nathan and the board. And I would decide for myself what role Marcus Blackthorn would play in my future.

Yet as I glanced at him across the table, seeing the quiet intensity in his eyes, I knew the path ahead would not be simple. The devil’s bargain had been made, and there was no going back.

  • The Alpha’s Pregnant Omega Heir   Old Ghosts

Alex’s POVFlashbackThe office on the executive floor had always felt colder than the rest of the building. Too much glass, too much polished wood and too many people who smiled only when it benefited them.I was twenty-four then. Still the clear heir. Still the one everyone deferred to in meetings. Nathan stood near the window with a file in his hand, speaking in that calm, measured tone he used when he wanted to sound reasonable. The Omega was seated across from his desk.I did not know his name. He worked in one of the lower administrative departments. Young and quiet. The kind of person who kept his head down and did his job without drawing attention. His hands were clasped tightly in his lap, knuckles pale.“You missed the revised deadline,” Nathan said. “Again.”“I submitted it on time,” the Omega replied carefully. “There was a system delay. I reported it.”Nathan smiled without warmth. “That is convenient. Every time there is a problem, there is an explanation.”I was standi

  • The Alpha’s Pregnant Omega Heir   Check Up

Alex’s POVI woke up sore. Not in a dramatic way. Just that deep ache that made me stretch carefully before opening my eyes. My lower back was not happy. My thighs were not happy. Basically everything from the waist down had something to say about last night.Marcus was already awake beside me, scrolling on his phone. The second I moved, he looked over.“You are awake.”“Unfortunately,” I muttered. He set the phone down. “I think I went too hard on you.”I turned my head to stare at him. “You think?”“I am being serious.”“So am I.” I pushed myself up slowly and winced. “I felt that the moment I tried to move.”His mouth twitched. “That bad?”“Do not look proud.”“I am not proud.”“You are a little proud.”Marcus reached over and rested a hand on my hip. “Next time I will be more careful.”“That is a lie and we both know it.”He did not deny it.I swung my legs over the side of the bed and sat there for a second, rolling my shoulders. Marcus sat up behind me and wrapped an arm loosely

  • The Alpha’s Pregnant Omega Heir   Homecoming

Marcus’s POVThe car turned into the estate just as the afternoon light started to soften. Kai sat beside me, scrolling through his phone with that restless energy he always had after work.“You have been quiet,” he said. “Which either means you are planning something or you are thinking about Alex.”“Both can be true.”Kai smirked. “You are getting soft.”“Keep talking and I will assign you to inventory for a week.”He held up a hand. “I take it back.”The car stopped near the main entrance. I stepped out first. Before I could head inside, the doors opened and Elena walked out with Isabella just behind her. Alex followed a step later, looking more relaxed than he had in days.Kai stopped beside me the second he saw Elena.“Well,” he said under his breath. “This is a better welcome than usual.”Elena’s eyes landed on him almost immediately. “You again.”Kai put a hand over his chest. “You say that like it is a bad thing.”“It depends on the day.”Isabella looked between them, amused.

  • The Alpha’s Pregnant Omega Heir   A Day With Isabella

Alex’s POVI woke up to a face hovering directly above mine. For a second my brain did not process it properly. Then pure instinct took over.“Ah—!”I jerked back so hard I nearly fell off the bed, heart slamming against my ribs as I scrambled upright. Isabella stood beside the bed, perfectly calm, holding a cup of tea like she had not just nearly given me a heart attack.“Good morning,” she said pleasantly.I stared at her, still catching my breath. “Do you… regularly watch people sleep?”“Only when they are carrying my grandchild and refuse to wake up before mid-morning,” she replied. “Marcus said you needed rest. I decided that meant checking on you.”I dragged a hand down my face. “Where is Marcus?”“He left for work earlier. He said he would not be back until evening.” She set the tea on the bedside table. “Which means you are stuck with me for the day.”I blinked at her. “Stuck.”“Yes.” She smiled, clearly unbothered by the word. “Come on. Get dressed. I already told the kitchen

  • The Alpha’s Pregnant Omega Heir   After Dinner

Alex’s POVThe meal eventually slowed. Plates emptied, glasses sat half full, and the easy noise around the table softened. Isabella set her napkin down and looked around at all of us with clear satisfaction.“That was better,” she said. “I feel less like this house is surviving on stubbornness and cold food.”Kai stretched his arms above his head. “I feel personally attacked, but I will allow it because the food was good.”Ryker began gathering the nearest plates without being asked. Marcus glanced at him once and did not stop him. I pushed my chair back slightly, full and more relaxed than I had been all day.We stood and started heading out of the kitchen. The hallway felt warmer somehow. Isabella walked beside me as we reached the stairs, unhurried and comfortable. At the top of the stairs, I stopped and turned to her.“Thank you for dinner,” I said. Then I leaned in and pressed a quick kiss to her cheek. “Really. It was good.”Isabella’s face softened right away. She squeezed my

  • The Alpha’s Pregnant Omega Heir   Meeting Isabella

Alex’s POVI woke up to the low sound of movement in the suite. For a moment I stayed still, letting my eyes adjust to the morning light filtering through the curtains. The tiredness from the day before was still there, but it felt more manageable than it had last night. My stomach was quiet for once. No sudden wave of nausea. That alone felt like a small mercy.Marcus was already dressed when I sat up. He stood near the window, speaking quietly into his phone, but the moment he noticed I was awake he ended the call and walked over.“My mother will be here in an hour,” he said. “You do not have to prepare anything special. She is not the type to expect that.”I pushed the covers back and stood. “That is easy for you to say. You are not the one meeting your partner’s mother for the first time while pregnant.”A faint look of amusement crossed his face. “You will be fine.”I was not entirely convinced, but I nodded anyway and went to get ready. By the time I finished and
