Aliyah

“Are you okay?” Xavier asked again once we were in the clinic.

“Excuse me, Alpha.” He had no choice but to step aside to let the nurse pass.

“Does it hurt, Aliyah?” the nurse asked, but I just shook my head.

“Are you sure?” Xavier asked again.

“Yes, Alpha. The punch didn’t hit me.” And it was true.

“Aliyah!” Janice called out worriedly as she rushed into the clinic with her father and Chloe.

“Are you okay, A-Aliyah?” Alpha Joric asked, his voice full of concern.

“I’m fine, Uncle Joric.”

“This is the first time I’ve seen you like this. Are you sick or something?” he asked.

“This usually happens when I study too much. But I suddenly felt dizzy and had a headache earlier when it happened,” I admitted. I needed to be honest, at least a little.

It’s not even exam week, so it’s unlikely that I overworked myself studying. That excuse wouldn’t work right now.

“Maybe we should call Dr. Martin.” The nurse, who had just finished taking my blood pressure and temperature, looked at me with a

  • The Alpha's Princess   Chapter 42

Xavier“We can’t just sit here and do nothing,” I said firmly, my voice low but intense as I stared hard at the report I was gripping on the table. “I don’t believe for a second that the princess actually showed up at Xyril’s birthday party.”I slammed the paper down, not caring about the loud thud it made. The silence in my office grew heavier, and only the ticking of the wall clock echoed —a sound that somehow matched the growing tension in the room. Adrian and Pete sat with me, their faces serious, their eyes locked on me, waiting. For days, they’ve been trying to trace the truth behind the rumors, but we’ve hit nothing but dead ends.“Alpha,” Adrian started, brows furrowed, “if that’s how you feel, then why are we wasting time trying to prove or disprove it? Couldn’t it just be… plain gossip?”I took a long, controlled breath and slowly shook my head. “Because I need to know. I need to be sure about what’s really going on behind all these whispers. I even talked to my dad about it

  • The Alpha's Princess   Chapter 41

AliyahI wasn’t able to talk to Mommy like I planned. It didn’t push through because Xavier suddenly video called me. And honestly? The moment I saw his face, I completely forgot why I even wanted to talk to her in the first place. I was thrilled to see him. We talked for hours. Like, seriously, I didn’t even notice that it was already late in the evening. The last time we saw each other was during Xyril’s birthday. And after that? He’s been super busy with all his duties as Alpha. He told me that up until now, no one really knows who started spreading the rumor about a “princess guest” at the gathering that night. Even the elders have no clue where it began. They’re still digging into it, investigating like crazy.“Please always be careful, baby,” he kept repeating, sounding genuinely worried. “And I’m really sorry. I really want to be with you, but my hands are tied right now.”“It’s okay,” I told him, trying to keep my voice calm and steady. “Do what you need to do first.” I didn’t

  • The Alpha's Princess   Chapter 40

AliyahIt's been more than a week since Xyril's birthday, yet the noise hasn't faded, not even a little. You'd think people would move on, get distracted by some new drama, but no. Instead of dying down, the rumors have only grown louder, more intense, spreading like wildfire through whispers and side glances.Everyone's still talking about the princess.A presence that once felt impossible. Just a myth. Like a bedtime story. But now? That fairy tale has started to feel a little too real. And me? I still can't wrap my head around it.Even though I've heard it again and again from different people, each time someone says the word "princess," my heart jumps. There's this strange mix of fear and familiarity in my chest. Like my body already knows the truth, even if my mind keeps trying to deny it.Janice and I sat together under the big tree near the edge of campus, right where the shadows stretched far enough to shield us from the afternoon heat. The sun was starting to dip, casting a s

  • The Alpha's Princess   Chapter 39

AliyahOur talk ended with some food on the table and a bit of warmth in the air.Even though there was still a tinge of nervousness sitting quietly in my chest, I felt lighter somehow. The conversation I had with Aunt Avery didn’t just clear some of my worries but it reminded me that she was far from ordinary. She was smart, composed, and surprisingly caring. And she was right. It’s better if I tell Mom and Dad everything myself. That way, they’ll see that I’m not running away from things. Even if life gets complicated, I still choose to face it head-on.Most of all, I want them to see that I’m still me—Aliyah. The daughter without a wolf, but never the weak one.Later that afternoon, as the golden sunlight peeked through the windows of my room and cast a soft orange glow on the walls, I found myself reaching for my phone. The sun was slowly dipping in the west, and I figured Mom would probably be resting already. She and Dad usually take naps around this time. I closed my eyes for a

  • The Alpha's Princess   Chapter 38

AliyahI never expected what had happened at Xyril's birthday party. Everything changed in an instant. What started as a fun celebration suddenly turned tense. Whispers started spreading like wildfire, rumors that the princess was at the party.I had no idea who started it, but it wasn't just some random gossip. The way people talked… it sounded too certain, too real.Janice and I exchanged a look. Shock was written all over her face, and she couldn't hide how worried she was. I know Janice. She's not the type to panic easily. So when I saw how her jaw clenched tight and how her breathing turned heavy and sharp, I knew this wasn't something we could ignore. She knew the same thing I did. This wasn't the right time. No one should know who I really am. Not yet. Not when I'm still hiding the truth... that I'm Aliyah, the princess of the supernatural."This can't go unnoticed," she whispered as we kept scanning the room. I had a feeling no one could hear us anyway. Most of them were busy

  • The Alpha's Princess   Chapter 37

XavierI had no idea how Stelle ended up here. I’m sure Xyril didn’t invite her. I know my sister, she’s never hidden her disapproval of Stelle, especially since she always acted like she was too good for anyone in our pack. Especially me.But now that she’s here, I can’t really do anything about it. I can’t be rude or throw her out, not with all eyes watching me as the Alpha. Still, I didn’t want Aliyah to get the wrong idea just because this woman showed up.The moment I saw Stelle, my reflex was to search for Aliyah in the crowd. I didn’t want her to think I was happy about this or that Stelle’s presence meant something to me.Truth is, I don’t feel a single thing for Stelle, not even a flicker. I was lucky that Xyril asked me to dance with her just at the right moment. It gave me an excuse to look away and breathe for a second.I really wanted to ask Aliyah to dance next. I even imagined how it would feel to hold her in my arms in front of everyone. But the moment passed quickly.
