Chapter Eight

“Alpha!”

A loud, urgent banging on the door preceded Carter, Wyatt’s Beta, rushing in looking distressed. His eyes searched the room and he visibly gaped when he saw the state of us; both me and Wyatt were drenched in blood and wine, my eye already swelling from the blow to my face and his shirt torn from where I had stabbed him. We were both panting, fangs out, eyes aglow ready for the next round.

“Ah…Alpha?” Carter stuttered, unsure of what to do.

“What is it?!” Wyatt hissed. “’I’m busy house training our Luna here. Can it wait?”.

“No, my Alpha. There has been another attack on the Philadelphia pack, this time three of our wolves have gone missing”, he jabbered nervously.

Wyatt looked down at me and mischievous grin took over his face.

“Well, Nova. Looks like I’m going on a little road trip up north. Seems our…discussion, will have to wait until I get back”. He flashed eyebrows at me before walking over to Carter and they began whispering feverishly between themselves.

I would think they wouldn't get cancer since they heal quickly not that it affects them badly
