Four : Mine!

As we reached the borders of Crescent Moon pack, I noticed we were being watched by the patrol guards from afar. Earl nor Charles were able to notice them, but because of my heightened senses, I can see them running behind the shadows of the trees.

The car stopped to a halt when two men stood in front of us. I stepped out of the car to meet them.

"I am Cailly Stryder, Alpha of Midnight Howler pack. I am here to meet Alpha Gregory Horan." I said, informing them.

"Yes, please follow us, our alpha is waiting for your arrival." Sensing his aura, I can name him as the beta, I cocked my brows, confused. As if sensing it too. Aleck asked in my head. "He's the beta, why didn't he recognize himself as the beta of this pack?"

"I don't know." I shrugged my shoulders and block her out as I followed the man.

I cleared my throat to get their attention. They turned to look at me. "This is Earl Blaine, my beta and Charles Ruia, my gamma." I introduced my beta and gamma, maybe they will introduced themselves as well.

"I am Rob Cain and this is Richard Smith." He all but introduced themselves without the title. I raised my eyebrow but didn't ask any further question.

We walked for a couple of minutes, looking around. Earl barged in my mind.

"This place looks like its haunted or abandoned. Where are the people here?" He asked in my head.

"Do they have pack members? This is like a ghost town." Charles stated in my head as well. I shrugged my shoulders.

"Just wait here, in a couple of minutes, the walking dead will show up, running towards you two and will taste you. So you better be alert." I joked as They both stiffened. If this were a different situation, I might have laughed at their actions but it is not the time to laugh around.

I was about to ask something when we heard a weeping sound near us. I roamed my eyes to see the source of the sound. "Alpha, that must be the zombie! We better leave this place." Earl spoke in my head and I cringed. They sure believed what I had just told them. "That's why you are here with me to keep me safe." I said whilst grinning. I blocked the link and walked towards the voice. Then I saw a young boy crying in front of a house. I went near him. 'Hello,' I cooed.

"Hey, what's wrong?" I asked politely.

He sniffed then wiped his tears away. "My mo-- " he was cut off by Rob, the beta when he grabbed the shirt of the boy, he whimpered.

"What are you doing outside your house? The Alpha clearly said that no one is allowed to leave the house." He yelled at the poor boy.

"I was just looking for my m-momma." The boy said, sobbing. He was about to hit him when I grabbed his hand.

"Let him go." I said using my alpha voice.

"You have no business with this, Alpha Cailly. Our Alpha ordered this. He deserves punishment for disobeying the Alpha's order." He said in a stern voice.

"I don't care. Let him go." I commanded while still using my alpha voice.

He sighed deeply and let the kid go. The kid crawled to the door of their house. I walked towards him and caressed his small face. "Go inside your house and I shall look for your mom. I'll get her for you." I cooed him soothingly and he smiled at me. "Now, go inside your house okay?" He nodded and I ruffled his hair causing him to giggle. He wrapped his tiny arms around my head and I hugged him back, he then ran inside the house. I smiled widely. My head snapped when someone cleared their throat. "You have a lot to learn pup." He stated firmly.

"Of course." I patted my dusted pants and straightened my back. "Alpha Horan." I greeted.

"Alpha Stryder--'

"Alpha Cailly, that's my father not me." I corrected.

"Feisty, I like that." He snorted. "Well then, shall we do the talking inside my office, Alpha 'Cailly'?" He mocked and I smirked.

"Please lead the way."

While on our way inside the pack house, no one dared to speak. Only their heartbeats could be heard. The beta and third of this pack had the fastest beat. "Something is about to happen, be careful." My wolf reminded me. I silently thanked her. "I'll stay with you, don't you dare block me, Cailly." Aleck warned, I mentally rolled my eyes at her.

"Is there anything I can give you? Coffee, Juice, wine?' Alpha Horan offered, interrupting my thoughts.

"No, but thank you for the offer." I said as politely as I could mustered. He nodded and motioned for me to get come inside his office.

He walked behind his desk to sit on his chair, I took the seat across him, my arms in front of my chest as I leaned my back to the chair.

"So, how is it like to be alpha?" I started the conversation.

"It's amazing, you are powerful and you make the rules." He answered nonchalantly.

"Why didn't you passed your alpha position to your heir?"

"I am still alive, why do I need to pass my title if I can still handle my pack?" He said while smirking.

"But your turn as Alpha is over and its time for your heir to take the lead." I reasoned out.

"He didn't deserve it. He is such a jerk. And he already left with his slut of a mate." He spat in disgrace while I rolled my eyes.

"So, how do you handle your pack? By treating them like a prisoners? Feed them like once in a week?" I said sarcastically.

He growled at me. "Watch your mouth pup!" He said controlling his self.

"What? By telling you how messy you look? Or by how stupid you treat your pack members?" I raised my eyebrow.

He rose from his chair and slammed his hands on his desk. "You have no rights what-so-ever on telling me what and what not to do with my pack!" He roared. I stood my ground whilst smirking.

"And you call yourself an Alpha? From what I remember, the alpha secures the pack, gives them food and protection. The alpha gives them love and whatever they need. You imprison them and that is not the way to handle a pack." I told him.

"Either you give your pack to me willingly or I take it from you forcefully. Which do you prefer?" I asked him.

"You can't take this pack from me! So foolish of you to think you own this pack!" He roared and gripped my neck tightly, pushing me to the wall.

"I can have this pack! Weather you like it or not." I spat at his face. He threw me to the other side of the room and my back hit a drawer. I yelped in pain but before I could react any further, he grabbed me by the hair and smashed my head to the floor.

"You deserve this, bitch!" Then he threw to me to the bookshelf. I smirked at him.

"Is that all you can do?" I asked him blatantly. He gritted his teeth and lunged at me. He jumped and shifted into a black and brown wolf. I dodged his attack by moving sideways and transferring away from him. I crossed my arms. "Hey browny! What'cha doing?" I mocked him.

He got more furious and hit me using his head making my back hit the door. It broke away from its hinges and I fell. I was lying on my back when he lunged at me. I let out a soft chuckle.

"This feels a lot like a deja vu. Like father like son." I said and added "check mate!" I let my claws out and let it dig into his stomach. I clutched his heart and withdrew my hand away. I kicked him hard making him fall to the floor.

He was writhing in agony as he shifted back. "Look on the bright side, you can see your mate again." And with that statement, a small smile formed from his thin lips.

I turned to look around the place only to see the beta and third of this pack on the left side of the hall, their gaze stuck on their alpha's dead body. "Sorry for your lost." I sympathetically said while they shook their head. "No. We would like to thank you. You have freed us from him, his merciless rules are killing us, he doesn't even listen to us."

"That's why you did not even bother tell us that you are the beta and third of this pack?"

He nodded while I sighed. "I shall be taking this pack with me. Please gather everyone for the upcoming announcement at the backyard. Make a small makeshift stage and lay your alpha on top. I'll just make a call to Sam." I ordered and they all replied. "Yes, alpha."

"Make sure everyone is present." I walked inside the former alpha's office, roaming around as I waited for Sam to pick up. After the fourth ring, he answered.

"Hello. What is it? How is it?"

"I want you to come here. Now." I said in a come-here-right-now-or-else tone.

"Did anything wrong happen? Are you hurt? If you are I'm going to kill Alpha Horan' he growled.

"Relax Everything is fine, except for their Alpha. I just killed him. I did not want too but he gave me no other choice." I pouted as he chuckled. 'Okay. I'll be there in a short while.'

"Bring Alicia and Rose. Your beta too." I said and he agreed. I ended the call just in time to see Earl approaching me.

"Alpha, everyone is present. They are expecting your presence." I nodded and walked out of the room, him following closely. As I reached the back door, I heard different kinds of murmurs. "'He's dead!" "What should we do?""Is he going to kill us too?"

I frowned at their thoughts. Once I stepped out of the house, the crowd went silent. I took a few steps to the makeshift stage and stood in the middle. From my point of view, fear, horror, and worry were etched in their faces. They know I am the one who killed their alpha, his blood still lingered on me. I took a deep breath and spoke.

"As you can see, your Alpha, Gregory Horan, is dead. I'm afraid to say that I am the reason for it." I stated. A few gasps were heard. "I am going to take this pack under my care. I Cailly Stryder, Alpha of Midnight Howler pack am taking this pack to be part of my own pack. Now, if anyone is against it, Please step away and leave. No one is gonna stop you." I paused and waited. I saw a few members step away and run towards the woods. I sighed.

"There is a total of fifteen male members left, Alpha." Earl whispered to me making me nod.

"For the others who stayed, I am grateful. I will be needing a few women who know how to cook, clean, and decorate. We will be needing it for the party. The ceremony of acceptance will be announced by the end of this week. Alpha Sam, my brother will be coming to join us. Now then, let's begin the preparations!" I clapped my hands and they went to their assigned task. Rob and Richard came to me.

"What will you do with his body?" Rob asked. I turned to look at him. "We will bury him." I said and they lowered their heads showing submission.

"Alpha Cailly, I promise to be loyal and responsible to you and your pack." Richard said submissively.

"Our pack." I corrected him. "Thank you." He gave me a small smile and soon, they left. Once they were gone, Sam, together with Alicia in his arms, approached me. A big grin was plastered on his face.

"Hey baby girl." He greeted, I rolled my eyes at him. "Hey big brother." I mocked.

"Looks like everything is in place. What did you do this time?" Sam asked me while roaming his eyes around.

"I danced and sang for them until the Alpha had a heart attack and died." I said and looked at him innocently. He just laughed.

I smirked and left them when I saw Rose talking with someone. "Hey, Sese!" I called her, she turned to me and grinned. "Hey Lily! Oh my! Alpha Lily!" I rolled my eyes at her. "You know her?" I pointed at the girl she was talking with. "Nope. I was just asking about what happened because every time I would ask you, you would just give me a sarcastic answer or you would just show me a bored face." She stated, I rolled my eyes at her and she smirked.

We walked towards the busy people when  a few children came to me. I recognized one of them as the boy I saw earlier. I knelled down to the kids eye level.

"Hey there sweeties. What are you doing?" I asked them while smiling.

"He said you weren't mean to him and even saved him from being hit earlier." A little girl said, her voice small. She was thin but beautiful with her blonde hair let down and blue eyes covered in glasses too big for her face.

Another girl giggled as she made her way to me and pinched my cheeks. "You are very pretty! I wish when I grow up I can be like you!" She beamed as a mid-age woman pulled her away. "Sandy, you can't just do that to the Alpha!" The woman scolded to the little girl. The little girl pouted and I shook my head.

"It's alright." I Knelled down at her and pinched her cheeks lightly. "You will surely be more beautiful when you grow up." I said to her making her giggle. I was about to stand up when all of the children tackled me and caged me using their little arms. They caged me in a group hug. They beamed and yelled excitedly, laughing and giggling. I laughed with them before calling for refugee. Sam came to my rescue and helped me get rid of all the children.

"You can kill a big bad wolf but you need help when you get tackled by group of babies?" He said and I glared at him just to make him laugh. I smacked his right shoulder playfully but with a bit of force making him yelp. I laughed at him when he frowned. We stayed that way when suddenly, he gave me a card.

"What is this?" I raised my eyebrow, checking the envelope.

"An Invitation." he said in a 'duh' tone. I rolled my eyes at him.

"I know that it's an invitation, but why are you giving it to me?"

"There is an engagement party in Black Stone Moon pack, it's two weeks from now, but when Dalton heard you came back, he wants you to stay there until the party." He said grabbing an apple on the fruit basket that had just been placed on top of the picnic table.

"Who's getting married?" I tilted my head making a 'hmm' sound.

"Calix." he said flatly.

"Oh." I answered softly.

"You going?" He asked me while tilting his head a little.

"Can I not?"

"Nope" he said popping the 'p'.

"Fine!" I groaned. "Rose and Earl are coming with me, Charles will stay. Oh, I need to talk to them." I shrugged excusing myself to look for Rob and Richard, I already sent a mind-link for Earl and Charles to meet me inside the house and if ever they saw Rob and Richard they will take them.

As I entered the house, I instantly saw them standing in the middle of the living room, I cleared my throat to get their attention.

"Okay, I called you now for a little announcement. I am going to make some small changes. Earl is my beta while Rob will be my gamma. And since this pack is not yet officially part of my pack, Charles will take charge as the beta of this pack and Richard, gamma. Is that clear?"

"Yes, Alpha!" They all said in unison.

"I only have one rule; keep the pack and the pack member safe. that's all. For this pack, always makes sure that they have everything they need. I'll be leaving for some engagement party and Earl is coming with me while Rob will stay at the Midnight Howler pack, Charles and Richard will stay here. You can ask help from one another. I don't tolerate fighting. Understood?"

"Yes, Alpha!"

"Good. That's all. Go to the party and enjoy yourselves."

I dismissed all of them except Earl. "Pack your things and let Rose know that she also needs to pack her stuff. We're going to stay at the Black Stone Moon pack in two weeks time. Its Sam's decision." I rolled my eyes when his face look confused but grinned at my last statement.

"Okay. I'll go to find my twin." Then he excused himself.

I sat down the sofa and stared at the ceiling. I'm guessing it used to be white. From how I can see it, it has cracks and a lot of cobwebs.

This pack house needs a lot of renovation and once I come back here, I'm gonna start renovating. I noted that in my mind while sighing heavily.

I'm finally going to see Calix after ten years. I smiled a little then I remembered that he is gonna be married. I let out another heavy sigh.
