Prologue :

"Cailly, Sweetheart! come on we have to go!" Her mom yelled at her.

"Oops! That's mommy, we are leaving. Bye Calix!" She smiled at him and waved her hand.

"Take care, Cai." And with that said, he hugged her one last time.

"Remember your promise, okay?" She said with a wide smile and he nodded. She pecked a kiss on his lips making him blush, and Cailly stood still, wide eyed.

"Ready?" Her mom said checking on her. "Are you okay hun?" She asked her worriedly. Cailly snapped her attention to her mom. Her head turning to her mother as she nodded her head. "Im fine." She muttered.

"Alright. We have to go." She tugged Cailly's hand and pulled her towards the car. Cailly turned to look at Calix who was standing still, shocked at what had happened and was touching his lips. She blushed and hurriedly hopped inside their car. She took one last glance at him and saw him smiling and waving. She waved back and hid her face.

It's been half an hour since they left the pack and now they are in the middle of the road, the radio turned on and her parents both smiling at each other while Cailly repeatedly thought of her probably last memory with Calix.

She hugged her teddy bear which was given by Calix and giggled quietly. "We will meet again, Lexy." She whispered to her self making her smile even more.

She was asleep while cuddling her teddy bear when suddenly their car came to an abrupt halt. She woke up whilst rubbing her sleepy eyes. "What happened?" She asked sleepily.

"Nothing hun, why don't you go back to sleep." her mother told her in a panicked tone, knotting her forehead she tried to check their surroundings, it was already dark outside telling that's it's early evening but to her surprise a group of werewolves blocked their way. She turned to her father. She saw his hard grip at the steering wheel and how pale his knuckles were. Her mother, on the other hand, looked nervous and scared as she stared at the wolves, wide eyed.

"I'm going out." Her father announced as he removed his seat belt.

"What! No!" Her mother protested as she tried stopping him.

"Amy! Your and Cailly's safety is our priority here! Once I step out of this car, you will take the wheels and drive as fast as you can. You have to be safe, you and Cailly. I don't want anything happening to the both of you. I'll protect you two, okay? I'll just clear your way and you drive. Please honey. It's for you and Cailly's safety. Please." He pleaded as her mother started sobbing. "But Michael. We need you.. I need you." She stuttered out.

"I know. And I need you to be safe. If anything happens to me--" "No! No! Please don't say that!" Amy interrupted. Michael took her to his arms and kissed her lips tenderly. "I'll be back. I promise. Just do what I told you, Okay?" He said wiping her tears away. She slowly nodded her head. He switched his attention to Cailly, caressing her cheeks. Cailly rubbed her eyes, not knowing she was crying until the tears touched her cheek.

"Be a good girl sweetheart, okay. I love you baby." He reached for her and kissed her forehead. "I love you too daddy." She sobbed and hugged him tightly.

Her parents embraced one last time and then his father went out, her mother taking her fathers place.

Cailly saw her father talking with the one of the men and then they started fighting. Her mom started the engine and stepped on the gas, speeding away from her father's sight. "Close your eyes honey." Her mom ordered and she did as told. Closing her eyes, she hugged her bear tighter. The car stopped to a halt and she opened her eyes to see a big man pushing the car, hard. A screeching sound was heard.

Her mom stepped on the reverse pedal just to be stopped by another man. She turned to her. "I want you to close your eyes and cover your ears." She leaned to kiss her forehead. "I love you baby." She said as Cailly did what her mom said. She heard the opening and closing sound of the door as she tried to cover her ears tight with her small hands.

Since she still can't shift, she couldn't do anything but to stay inside the car, not moving. The door to her side suddenly opened and a man grabbed her by the shoulders making her whimpered in pain. She opened her eyes just to see a bulky man holding her neck tight. She saw her father running towards her. "Let her go!" He shouted but the man didn't let her go and instead tightened the grip on her neck.

Her eyes got blurry and black spots started appearing in her vision. She heard her mother yelling, she tried looking for her mom and saw her running towards her when someone tackled her mother. "Mom--my!" She choked when someone bit the neck of her mother, ripped the flesh apart and threw her away like a piece of rag. Her mother laid still. not moving. Dead.

"Let her go, Please." Her father pleaded. She saw two men straddling him. The man holding her smirked when a howl filled the air and as if on cue, wolves appeared from the woods.

Her father freed himself from the men and ran towards her, the man holding her dropped her, making her fall to the ground just to see her father being killed by the bulky man who was holding her. The man walked towards her, about to grab her hair when someone tackled him. The bulky man stumbled forward as a wolf lunged at him and bit his neck, the man falls down.

Once again, Black spots appeared on her line of vision as she falls down to the ground. The last thing she saw before fainting was her brother running towards her. "Sam" She whispered until darkness consumed her.
