CHAPTER 3

GRETA’S P.O.V

"One more move to take and everything would be in plan" I muttered, grinning maniacally, my eyes scanning around for the Pack's doctor office.

When Athena was screaming and pleading for me to talk to Aiden, I almost burst out into laughter right in front of her, it took a lot of self control for me not to.

Everything had been my plan, I had advised Aiden when he told me the options he gave Athena before he left her in the pack house.

I told him it was better to get rid of the unborn child before almost all the members of the pack found out.

"Oh, Miss. Greta Arnold, welcome" the pack doctor greeted me as I stepped into her little office.

"Thank you, she's here just as the Alpha had ordered" I said.

"Great! I will supervise the operation right away" the pack doctor said.

"Wait" I said all of a sudden and the pack doctor stopped in her tracks, a look of pure confusion on her face.

"How may I help you?" She asked like I was a pest.

How dare she ask me such a question like I was underneath her??? She doesn't know who the new Luna is yet.

"How may I help you?" she asked again.

I sighed heavily before I responded to her.

"First, you would address me properly, I am the pack's new Luna, your LUNA!!” I growled.

I saw the hesitation on the doctor's face, but she seemed to stick to the safer path by nodding her head in obedience.

"Good!" I acknowledged, "Now, let's discuss the main thing. It's no longer news that Athena Sanders is carrying a child for a man who isn't her mate, and that's why the Alpha had ordered for the termination of the baby" I said. I smiled so widely as I was about to break the best part of the information I had come with to her.

"I am content with it and I am sure you are also," I said. She was about to say a word but I held a finger shutting her up.

"Now, i need you to do something a little bit extra for me and don't you dare say no, you know the punishment for disobedience especially to your Luna" I said coldly in a threatening tone.

I walked closer to her and I whispered into the doctor's ears, and her eyes widened in shock. I retreated from where she stood and went back to sit on the chair close to her table.

"Erm, miss. Greta, I mean, Luna Greta” she stammered struggling to speak.

"I… th-this is against what I do, you see. I can't possibly do what you just asked of me. I am sorry." she said and I glared at her.

"If you are scared of getting caught, then do not worry I have got you covered, after all i would be the new Luna in the next four days" I said trying to reassure her, perhaps she was scared of being punished.

"I'm not worried about getting implicated or caught, Luna Greta. I just can't do this." she started strongly and I smiled, I know how to deal with her type.

The smile on my face faltered for a second. I stood up slowly from where I sat and walked towards the chair she sat on.

I glared down at her with a cold expression. She didn't dare to look up to me.

"I am not asking you but ordering you as your new Luna" I roared.

"I am sorry but I can't do what you ask of me" she said matching my tone and I laughed, she sure was a stubborn woman but she doesn't know it is she is daring.

"Samuel,” I mentioned, "he's your grandson, right?"

The immediate look of shock on her face confirmed it all. I did my research already before I had approached her.

"Is he?" I asked again when it seemed like she had got her tongue stuck.

"Y-Yes. Yes he is." She stuttered.

"What a cute little child he is. It's such a pity if something tragedy happens to him" I said carefully, ensuring I'm provoking the right emotions out of her.

I could see the tears forming at the corners of her eyes, and her eyes beginning to switch color.

"Who knows, he could be playing hide and seek with his friends and would suddenly go missing, hiding forever" I said.

"I will do it, please don't do anything to him" she begged and I smiled.

"Good! I am glad you compiled without hesitation, you aren't stubborn after all, it's a good thing we should all look after our family right? Now get to work" I said.

"And for a second if you think you can evade the task that I have given to you, try to remember your grandson's safety," I smiled, reaching for the door knob.

"I'd advise you to get on with it immediately. An agitated Athena isn't something some of your nurses can handle." I advised and closed the door afterwards.

I quickened my pace when I stepped out of the Pack doctor's office, the Pack Guards following suit.

"My Luna, it's getting unbelievably dark outside, and we have done what the Alpha ordered, Should we…",

"Go home, Steve, Our work is done here." I replied.

ATHENA’S P.O.V

I could feel my eyes dilating, and I was numb due to whatever the nurses had injected me with. I found it difficult to move, as I struggled to free myself. Suddenly, the pack doctor came in and I had hoped that she wouldn't let them kill my unborn child.

"Save me, please" I pleaded, but my voice came out as a whisper that I doubt she would hear.

I was so weak that I could barely move my head. I heard the woman having incoherent conversations with the nurses. Then they suddenly left the room.

Did she actually just save me?

"Thank you. Thank you so much." I whispered to her.

"Don't thank me yet" I noticed her pulling out a syringe from her coat.

"What… what is that for?" I asked.

"It's just a nerve relaxer" she said and I relaxed, I am glad she had chosen to save my baby.

She inserted the syringe through my arm, and whatever happened afterwards I wasn't aware as I slipped into unconsciousness for the second time.
