The drive back to Night Walker Pack was a silent one. Everyone seemed to be lost in their thoughts. What the clan leader revealed was weighty and none of us seemed to have wrapped our heads around it.

"So, this makes things pretty complicated. I doubt if Greta even knows she's being used. Ursula or Khalene or whoever she is doesn't really care about her desires. She just wants to have her way and gain control of all beings. We need to talk to Greta and tell her everything." I said, breaking the silence.

"Are you sure she doesn't know all this? She has harbored these plans in her head for years and is finally going through with it. She has betrayed you already and you still want to save her?"

"We were really close growing up. What if this is the only chance I'll get to save her too? She's just misguided and focused on the wrong thing. Has she even considered the possibility that you're not her mate when she eventually shifts?"
