Chapter 13

Out of pure anger, Alpha Magnus stood up from his seat, grinding his teeth. For a moment he couldn’t breathe. His mind darkened, his jaws were clenched and his temper flared. A mere woman had the audacity to accuse him of having a hand in her husband’s death.

‘’How dare you speak to me in such manner?!!’’. He shouted at the top of his voice, veins forming on his head.

Mari remained standing, unmoved by his outpour. She was just as mad as he was.

‘’Don’t talk to me like you don’t know what I’m talking about, Magnus’’. Mari flashed, raising her voice to be heard at all corners of the room. She knew she was in the presence of all Alphas and was the only woman present, but she didn’t care.

Her head spun. In their midst was an angry woman. She was more than angry, and she didn’t look like she was going to give up seeking justice for her husband’s death anytime soon.
