The Woman With Red Lips

The darkness surrounded me as I turned around. I could not see anything. But when I lifted my palms from my hips, I was… ominously… glowing?

“Where am I?” I asked myself, but it was from my mind. I didn’t even open my mouth!

I wandered around, trying to find some light, but I could not find anything. Suddenly, I got goosebumps when a soft wind passed through my skin behind me. Whatever gut made me turn around was scary and engendered anxiety in my mind.

“Hello, dear.”

I gaped at a lady behind me. She was wearing a black cloak, making her half-face only seen. Her voice was sweet yet sent chills through my skin, making me step back.

“W-Who are you?” I asked tremblingly.

The sides of her red lips rose, but the set of her teeth was still hidden.

“I am no one,” she said, “but you are someone you will need to recognize.”

Somehow, her voice was soothing me. Her presence and the darkness around us dreaded my system, but her voice and words were comforting rather than fearsom
