Leo’s pov:

I chased the small car like a man possessed, like a man on a mission. And the mission was clear, obvious even – make sure this motherf*cker knew exactly who Yuri belonged to.

At some point, I was able to speed over and block the car. He honked, seemingly annoyed, but I only got out of the car in haste, ready to tear his limbs and turn him into a bloodied mess.

“Where do you think you’re taking her?” I asked, my voice low, dangerous, and thick with menace.

“I just need to take her

  • The Alpha's Scorn: His No More    72. Bite Me

Leo’s pov: Yuri’s scent was starting to become far too potent, and my mind was becoming hazy. The desire to possess her and show her and the whole world exactly who she belonged to was toying with me… And like the sinner I was, I was picturing her taking my co*ck, as I pounded her in the mattress, her lips parted, panting, her eyes rolled back. Oh heavens, this is torture, I thought to myself, even as I felt myself harden at the very thought of having another night with her. And yet, no matter how torturous it was, how difficult it was for me to keep myself in check, there was just something about her that kept drawing me to her. The way her eyes glistened when she looked at me – as if she was fighting a battle of her own – and her lips quivered from time to time as she tried to come up with valid answers to my questions. Which questions might you ask? To keep her busy and prevent her from just mindlessly taking what she needed – and which I was willing to offer wholeheartedly –

Was the man suicidal? Then, his words registered, and I could only react through narrowed eyes at first. “Safety?” I then raised an eyebrow at him. He nodded in earnest, “Yuri’s in heat, and she trusted me to take her to her dorms.” “She’s in heat?” I couldn’t help the way I echoed his words incredulously, even as I shot to her side of the car. The window was open, and Yuri’s eyes fluttered open fo

  • The Alpha's Scorn: His No More    70. Give Chase

Yuri’s pov: I decided it was safer for both Kevin and I that I didn’t delay the matter more than I had to. My mate and I are trying to come to some kind of understanding… I wish you can be happy for me. The text I sent him was lowkey cruel, I knew that much, but what was I supposed to say? Knowing Leo, the man had both the means and the heart to be ruthless when he needed to be. I was not going to risk irking him further. Kevin’s eyes found mine from across the room at a moment of distraction, and he looked genuinely lost, as if the very last hope he had been hanging onto was no more. Once a scorned wife, now a ridiculed mate… Oh how things have remained the same! The irony wasn’t lost on me. I mentally made a note to give Leo a piece of my mind later on… Sure, in this timeline, he had yet to hurt me the way he had in my past life, but he wasn’t a better person either. It was 5 minutes till the end of the day, and I was feeling slightly out of it. I figured I must have stared a

Yuri’s pov: 3 days went by since Leo and I had that argument in the car… An argument which we never had the chance to finish. I heaved a sigh of utter frustration even as I looked at the designs in front of me. Don’t be bitter. You didn’t get to finish because you didn’t let him claim you. That’s not what I meant and you know it, I growled back at my mate, finding her words as outrageous as ever. It’s not a proper argument if you ended up on his lap making out. I chose to ignore her and focus back on work. My internship was going strong, and I needed to ace it if I ever wanted to stand a chance in the field. Thanks to my devilish mate, I didn’t make it the way I would have wanted. Thanks to him, many things were going wrong in my life. Nevertheless, if there was something he couldn’t touch, it had to be this internship, this opportunity, and this design in front of me. I was nose down into the design when a hand appeared on the side, waving at me. “You’re going to ruin your eye

  • The Alpha's Scorn: His No More    68. Trust Me

Yuri’s pov: The moment I entered the car, I met Leo’s eyes challengingly, showing him my unwillingness to back out. I wasn’t going to act like a she-wolf who was guilty of cheating on her mate. He should be counting his lucky stars, considering I wasn’t clawing his eyes out for still choosing Aurora over me, and protecting her still… I was taken aback by the thought and the feeling of bitter jealousy I could almost sense bubbling inside of me. Don’t be jealous now, I told myself firmly. You’ve never had a claim on this man, and you never will. He’s our mate. Stop denying the bond already! If anything, my wolf’s words fueled my desire to antagonize him some more. “You have some nerve, stalking me, Alpha Phillips,” I snarled, glaring at him. Ignoring my tone of voice, he didn’t hesitate to say, “We need to talk, Yuri.” The partition went up, and the suddenly closed space was filled with his scent – a scent which for the life of me I couldn’t feel repulsed by. I scrunched my no

  • The Alpha's Scorn: His No More    67. The Truth

Yuri’s pov: Kevin was as endearing as ever, and a gentleman down to his very core. He didn’t hesitate to help me into the chair gallantly, even went as far as to bring a bouquet of roses… He was going all out, and little, self-conscious, boring me didn’t believe I deserved such a caring attentive man by my side. “What’s on your mind?” He asked in a soft tone of voice, his eyes twinkling softly with a tenderness that almost had me gasping for breath. I was tongue-tied and I didn’t know what to tell him. How about the truth? My wolf snarled. That you have a mate and shouldn’t be here with him to begin with. Leo is with Aurora, and it is high time you accept it, I told her in a determined voice. He was jealous earlier, she tried to argue, but it sounded like a feeble excuse at best. He always is. He is an as*s. And yet, I believed that telling Kevin the truth might spare us some future awkward moments and uncomfortable conversations. “I have met my mate,” I began in a sorrowfu

Yuri’s pov: Waking up groggy beyond words, I wondered what had happened. My memory was blurry, and I wasn’t quite sure how I ended up at the hospital again. The smell of disinfectant was pungent, and the bland walls were exactly the same as each time. And yet, how did I end up here? I wondered

Yuri’s pov: “Yes, Alpha Leo?” I plastered a fake smile on my face, refusing to let him know how much he affected me, stubbornly keeping my gaze on his shirt. Wordlessly, he grabbed my hand and began to drag me along. Resistance was futile. I could only follow him. If he wanted to talk, we’d have

Yuri’s pov:Seeing as nobody knew about my owning this place, and they wouldn’t know about it unless they really dug about me, I was fairly sure that mom would be okay. Mom might be stubborn and all kinds of troublesome at times, but she wasn’t one to break promises. Heaving a sigh of relief, I so
