Selene Instantly, Jack shifted, too. Avery and I instinctively stepped backward. They were roughly the same size, both wolves muscular. They snapped their jaws at each other and started to circle one another. Storm let out a menacing roar, but I saw him limping slightly as he circled Jack’s wolf. That was odd—he must be hurt.
