I ran my fingers through Beat Silver's fur as I leaned my back against tye bars of my cell.

I don't know how long it had been since the beta dropped himself on my lap, but he's fallen asleep with his head still leaned on my right knee.

My legs were growing numb from sitting in the same position for way too long but I didn't dare move a muscle.

I was too scared that I would wake Beta Silver from his peaceful sleep, one that he needed.
