Chapter 12

ALPHA POV

I wake in the morning to Moira's small knock on our door.

"Yes, Moira. Come in," I say, standing up in yesterday's shorts and dirt.

"Breakfast is ready, Alpha," she says before stopping in her tracks when she sees me.

"Alpha, did you sleep while dirty," Little Moira asks while chuckling at me.

I glare at her. Of course, I did. I needed rest, not cleanliness. Being clean does nothing to help you survive. She begins to laugh hard at my expression.

"Stop laughing," I order immediately.

She stops and smiles at me. "Alpha, please shower. The pack expects you to be clean and presentable. They will already be worried that Emmett is not in control," she says reasonably and respectfully.

I nod my head at her words. She is entirely right. The pack will be worried.

I shower and dress our human form in workout clothes: breathable shorts and a tank top. I want our body on display when we see Lisa again. I will make our mate drool wi
