Chapter 61 - They're home

Neil's POV

At once, I am sitting opposite Amelia in the dinning, before the full plate of freshly cooked lasagna. "My favourite," I say under my breath. A smile escapes my lips unknowingly.

"Did you just smile at food?" Amelia asks, a hidden laughter behind her voice.

"Umm... hell no."

"Don't mind him. Lasagna is his favourite. And I took my time to make it especially for him this morning. He has been away from home for long and I doubt he's had a good meal since then."

Okay, now she wants to embarrass me. Narni is just a pack of sweetness. "I've been eating so well, Narni." My gaze rests on Amelia's face as we both understand the meaning behind that statement. I've been eating so damn well that I feel so full and refreshed perceiving her scent from here alone.

But just as I said those words, Narni hits my head. I almost jump out of my seat screaming while Amelia bursts into laughter.
