Chapter 73 Trixie - My First Shift

I followed Melissa into the trees through the dark. My vision was already enhancing. There wasn't any light out here but it was like I could see clearly. We walked for what felt like an hour or so and ended up next to the river where there was a break in the sky. I started drinking the bottle of water the pack doctor gave me. It had the herbs and leaves in it that the bath I was in earlier had to get rid of the fever. He said drinking this would help keep the fevers away. He only gave me two so I had to make them last until I shifted. But I had already drank half of the first one.

I looked up at the sky there was suppose to be a full moon tonight. "When the moon is at its highest it will peak over the river and cast it's light down here. That will help your shift go smoothly in the moon light. " Melissa told me and looked at her watch we have about an hour and a half.
