Sixty Seven

Hera’s POV

My thoughts are now invading my sleep too and giving me nightmares but I can't bring myself to wake up from this slumber no matter how hard I try.

I keep on seeing Mark's body where it lay at the foot of the Bluemoon pack, with his back towards me but the excruciating pain remains and it kills me the more the image keeps recurring in my dream, making me want to get down there and wake him up or want to save him but I can't seem to move.

I'm stuck to a spot and that makes it more frustrating for me that I can't do anything to save him.

Suddenly, I find that I'm back at the moment when I was about to save Mark. When the guard was still holding onto him before Alpha Luggard shot him in the head.

All senses in me awaken, forgetting it's a dream and I find myself running at the fastest as I can to save him before he falls off like he did previously but the bullet still whizzes past me like it did that time and I watch in horror once again, how the bullet burst open the guards h
